  1. You have the mastery and got the collection from Hobbs in Lions Arch?
  2. I mean, yes, in theory In reality is there a single guild that could have 500 active players who ALL toggle their WvW for the guild on? Highly unlikely.
  3. I really don't understand this view point. What do you think link servers are? They're asked to change servers every two months, their name mostly irrelevant.
  4. ^ best post in this thread so far Yeah, complain in the EU forums which are not moderated at all. xD But yeah, it seems like the major problem of the NA Servers is the reason why everyone on the EU servers is getting punished. The problem is very obvious on the NA servers, but it's not like this could not become an issue for EU servers. It was just a month ago Kodash had to blackout/NOT play in order to do anything, and Desolation was rotting in T4/5 until their recent link which they shot up to T1. It's just more common in NA because T1 is a dead tier where virtually nothing can compete with Blackgate.
  5. BG-JQ-Mag-YB-FA? You could at least say the top 5! They're clearly the full servers :p Cool info either way. pretty much showing/confirming what we already guessed hah edit: oh thats NA AND EU. Jeeze. I'm guessing #2 is Piken or something then? Or is that JQ?
  6. Aren't you the bloke that said it was easy? That you did it first go, no deaths? You said: "I didnt find the Scruffy fight to be particularly difficult, but it was annoying." So, you're exactly the type of person I was referring to being unable to have a discussion with. One the one hand you tell us you weren't challenged and the fight wasn't difficult. On the other, you're telling me it's meant to be challenging. So, either you're SO GREAT that you didn't notice the challenge, OR your argument is wildly inconsistent. Thus, "the type of person who won't understand my point of view and can't accept it's valid". Until you can relegate the inconsistencies in your own logic (is it challenging or not?) there's no discussion to be had because the only person being challenged is me, between the two of us, and you're saying I should be. You don't get to decide that for me. I do. And if you WEREN'T challenged, then making it easier for me so I'm NOT challenged seems pretty fair, right? No, you're the type of person it's impossible to have a discussion with. You want an easy fight nerfed to become easier because you refuse to adapt, to change anything. To be literally given the rewards for a game by showing up. Go play Hello Kitty Online if you want guaranteed satisfaction with no effort. I mean that in the most non-trolly way possible. I think some WoW LFG fights have more personal responsibility than Scruffy.
  7. But.. the story isn't difficult. None of the bosses have hard mechanics, and what mechanics they do have are introduced to you super early usually. Plus this is LWS4. If you've been doing the story chronologically (ie personal story > lws2 > hot > lws3) nothing in POF beyond Balth and the last LWS4 boss should be "hard" at all. The only thing about the LWS4 story that may be too dragged out is the final story bosses HP. But there have been very few fights I would consider "hard" (even when I started on a bearbow ranger who didnt know what a breakbar was, I only had issues on Mordy and Caudecus) The NPCs even res you if you're super slow, and dying just resets you and keeps the boss HP the same.. so I'm not sure what else they can do. You barely get punished for dying at all. I guess if you die 4+ times you might have to repair? The bosses tend to boil down to "avoid the aoe, do a mechanic transition". This isn't an audiobook, it's a game. You still need to play the game somewhat. Adding some mechanics beyond a punching bag is nice because otherwise it's a chore and boring and theres no reason to ever fight anything if they would do that. Just make it a giant textbubble cutscene and be done with it. Are you sure you're talking about the "average" player, or someone below average? Because many people I know, who I promise you are not hardcore players and dont raid or do pvp or whatever, had and have no issues.
  8. I don't see how they can spend that much development time in order to make tiered easy/normal/hard type raids. It would make it a raiding game. At the moment they release relatively good encounters, and as they add more wings, it allows them to release bosses of varied difficulty. They can't hand hold people into raids. They're already not very hard and most require very little effort (ie pulling 10k damage on a class that when optimized pulls 30k) will still allow you to succeed with wiggle room. Raids are about as casual as you can possibly get right now. You can join in any boss, as long as someone has an instance. You can quit or join as you please in LFG. You can do things at your own pace, with normal strategies (such as normal greens on vg) or advanced strategies (disorting greens). I don't see why they should change anything, really. Having some form of long term harder endgame is good.
  9. The story, maps, meta, fractal, and general improvements made this patch were really good. It added a lot of content to do, which is nice. In terms of criticsms: Some of the actual bosses (wyvern, last instance) were extremely HP heavy. Wyvern especially was pretty boring of a fight. Rytlock decided to not help at all and watch from stairs far away too which was a bit annoying. If it had some mechanics it wouldnt be bad, but it felt like a HP sponge. The Warden boss in The Hero of Istan instance probably has too much AOE. It was particle effects and AOE effects galore and they chained into eachother with little wiggle room. It didn't hurt much, it was just annoying. I feel the same way for the fight in the meta with the same boss. There were a ton of trash mobs in these instances. It was a bit annoying on a ranger personally, not hard just tedious. A slight cutback on the 50 mob spawns would be lovely.
  10. Took me one death to kill this thing in exotic gear. Whatever, it's nerfed now. It was a clear L2P issue but it doesn't effect me. Enjoy the faceroll boss I guess. Hope the final boss encounter isn't the next thing complained about.
  11. Fixed it for him. Also here's a video of someone unlocking every waypoint in Queensdale without touching the ground once: Totally not a flying mount. Totally doesn't change the game, other mounts do the same things! Totally doesn't invalidate content. People can make an argument that it's a good or bad thing, but it definitely changes the game a l o t.
  12. Pretty opposite, a lot of opinions here would be thumb downed into oblivion for having the gall to say that they think the griffon was a mistake. People can compare it to WoW because, while no where near the extreme as WoW's flying mounts, there are some comparisons to be made regarding mounts and invalidating older content, making the world feel smaller, etc etc. This has been (and continues to be!) discussed to death on the WoW forums.
  13. I always hate these types of posts. When they introduce content that invalidates other forms of content, people always say "just don't use it then". Hello? Why would anyone NOT use it if it makes their life easier?I don't use cheat codes when I play games because I enjoy playing the game, despite cheat codes making the game easier. That's why. If you see something as a threat to the enjoyment of your gaming experience, and if said threat is almost optional for you to use (which the Griffon is completely optional), then don't use the optional thing that is going to ruin the experience. This isn't hard. And sorry if you don't like these types of posts. If these types of posts bother you so much that you feel compelled to reply just to say, "I don't like this post", then perhaps you should go take a walk.Or I can comment on them on a public forum. Do you want an echo chamber? Maybe you should take a walk, get some fresh air, since you clearly ignored the rest of my post.
  14. I always hate these types of posts. When they introduce content that invalidates other forms of content, people always say "just don't use it then". Hello? Why would anyone NOT use it if it makes their life easier? You're dumb to not use mounts, but that doesn't mean you can't look and notice how much it trivializes some content and how much of a game changer it is.
  15. We're past the point of no return here. You can't remove it or change it now because people will endlessly complain, no matter how much better it is or what content it invalidates or how much easier it makes the world and yada yada.
