  1. This thread is too long and too full of bickering and I'm not reading all of that lol Adding my two cents for Anet. I'm upset because a functionality that I worked for to better my account is being removed, and parts of that function are being put into a different system that will at least partially negate the work that I did. I believe this sets a very bad precedence for the game, as a whole. Legendary equipment and the lack of a constant gear grind is part of what makes this game so approachable for people who do have lives. If it's no longer going to be that way, I don't see me staying active for very long. I've been here since launch, and my account has never moved backwards in progression until now.
  2. I realize that firebrand books do not have an internal cooldown - that is not what this post is about, although adding an icd to books to prevent double-tapping would likely solve the issue. This post is about the fact that the game sometimes acts like a book has been double-tapped, even when accessibility options are making that impossible. I used Windows accessibility options to add a 0.5 second delay to all of my keys to prevent double-tapping, and I still sometimes end up back in book one right after I dropped it, which should be impossible. Some notes after several hours of testing in the golem room: -This seems to only happen when leaving tome. I've never had it happen when entering tome. -I am not using weapon swap to leave tome (for the purposes of testing, I unbound that key entirely) -It seems to happen more often when using a skill as tome is being dropped (noticed it the most when trying to cast Mantra of Flame as tome closed, but it also happens with torch 4 and 5)
  3. Adding to this, because even though I am not colorblind, I have friends and guildies who are and this affects them. Additionally, I do raid training and being able to point people in the direction of accessibility options when they're needed would be a whole lot better than the current "well, that sucks" that I have to give. Having alternative cues for mechanics (audio or visual) would be incredibly helpful, not just to people who are colorblind, but to people that need accessibility options for other reasons as well. Add to that the fact that the visual clutter in GW2 is getting more and more intense as the game moves forward, making alternative cues and customization even more important. I kind of get the impression that some of the post-processing changes may allow for better customization but there's no mention at all of options for people living with colorblindness or other needs. Please, literally any response on this would be encouraging at this point.
  4. Bumping this (again) because the new strike makes this option even more necessary.
  5. Mechanist auto chain is not resetting after entering kits or even using other skills. Example log: https://dps.report/qHYr-20220810-185241_golem After coming out of grenade kit, the auto chain picks up where it left off instead of starting over with Mace Strike. This does not happen 100% of the time, which makes it even more annoying because there's no way for me to tell where I'm going to be in my rotation after coming out of kits. In one part of this particular log, I use auto 1 and 2, interrupt the 3rd part of the auto chain with Mace 3, go into a kit and use grenades, and the auto chain STILL starts up with the 3rd part.
  6. As I said, when running training groups this issue comes up frequently. It's a small thing that would make strikes more accessible to people who 1.) haven't completed the story and don't really want to, 2.) don't have a shared inventory slot, or 3.) have no idea where their portal scroll has gotten to. It just slows everyone down, and it comes up frequently enough that I've made my 6th (and 7th) whole post in 10 years on these forums. If people who haven't done the story shouldn't be able to access the strikes, please do all of us a favor and make it so they *can't* so the entire squad isn't held up while one person who just bought EoD deals with the atrocious UI that is TP to friend in squads.
  7. It would be a very nice quality of life improvement if we could get a portal/gate connecting the instanced PvE hubs (Aerodrome, Arborstone, and Eye of the North). Especially switching between EOTN and Arborstone for strike missions is a hassle (and expensive!). I realize that the portal scroll allows teleporting to Arborstone for free. . .assuming that someone has it *and* has it handy. Getting people to Arborstone has become a training headache, though. This is exacerbated by the fact that, even if they use a teleport to friend, the game just gives them a random assortment of people to teleport to, so the commander usually ends up having to leave the instance and stand in Arborstone to be a TP target. Then, factor in that the waypoint in Arborstone costs about 10s to teleport to from EOTN, and it's not just inconvenient for everyone in the squad, it's plain scamming newer players just trying to learn the content.
  8. This is still happening. It's hugely annoying. I'm trying to run raid training things and can't access the tools to do it. Please fix this! Have also tried from Arborstone and had the same issue. Raid members who try to join me get a loading screen, load into the instance for a split second (not even long enough to register on their screen) and get kicked back.
  9. The fact that this isn't already an ingame option is disappointing. It took us a minimal amount of testing to make it so our Discord was accessible enough.
  10. So far so good. My load times when I cycled through characters (25) was longer than usual (long enough that I'd started to wonder if I'd be seeing that dreaded checkerboard again), but otherwise I haven't had any weird crashes or freezes or bugs.
  11. Been keeping an eye on this since the thread got a response that they're aware of it, but since it's not fixed yet I'm going to add my own +1. This is so frustrating. I've tried everything I can think of on my end to lessen the occurrence or fix it, to no avail. Please, Anet, an update would be nice. I've had this happen under the following conditions: -With and without addons (TaCO, ArcDPS (including healing stats and uploader extensions) -With and without launching gw2 as admin -With and without DX11 beta enabled -Have tried a dozen different graphics options and UI display configurations -With and without Discord running in the background -With and without the Nvidia overlay enabled -Without and without updated gpu drivers (RTX2070 Super) -There does not seem to be a set amount a time that the bug occurs after - I'm sure I've forgotten other things I've tested.
  12. Add Library to Home Instance It would be amazing if we could get a library added to our home instance, to store and display books. There are so many in this game, and most players just chuck them because they need the space (or tuck them away on alts). Thanks!
