  1. It should have been mandatory. Access to a legendary amulet without the slightest challenge is ridiculous This legendary has no more values if everyone has access to it.
  2. pvp is absolute emptiness, when you look at the evolution close to nothingness for 9 years. When you see gw1 which was filled with interesting pvp modes, i find it sad But it's too late now. it's not just by changing the meta that you give a revival to pvp.... cantha had lots of pvp modes on gw1, it was an opportunity to be inspired by it. but I guess the fishing was more urgent

Regardless of the release date, it will only be regular Guild Wars 2 players who will purchase this expansion. frankly what type of player do you want to attract with this? no raid, no pvp, no new class, soporific features like fishing a carp ... This extension is emptiness, it is no longer useful to delay it, it is irrecoverable. They have no content to sell, given the competition, it is already lost to attract anyone except the regulars players. So on the contrary, if they take a long time to launch it, they risk scaring off the only people who are sure to buy it.

The ancestral dragons made the storyline of this game soporific. Always the same, big tasteless monsters... the only one that motivated me a little was primordius in relation to his connection with the dwarves and the gw1 lore and they slaughtered him even more than the others.

  6. Yes POF was not really good, maps were visually fantastic and the scenario was quite nice but other than that ... absolutely no challenge and no meta. HOT was well above with a quality challenge. Yes, the players complained because they got used to playing alongside others players and not WITH them .Arena also got them used to spam 1 on monsters that do not necessarily move so it was a shock for this community to use others keys on the keyboard. But it remained fascinating to explore. And yes I assume, I am totally a fan of raids and I am desperate that this community does not make the effort to be involved in this content because it is so worth it. it's almost the only content that requires a little use of your brain on this game. It feels good. So EOD for the moment, it seems to be POF without the beauty of the maps and without the originality of the Mounts ...instead we can fish a carp and arena transformed one of the most beautiful maps of gw1 into a giant pixelated fluorescent salad. Even the specializations are much less original and interesting than on the 2 previous extensions. For now, it's hard to be positive. i just hope they don't slaughter kaineng city, the jade sea and echovald. It's the only thing that can give me a little pleasure now...:(
  7. I would like to believe you but this community complains as soon as it is necessary to spam more than 3 keys on the keyboard so I do not believe it for a single second. And for the strikes, I only want to see but for the moment if I refer to the existing strikes,the difficulty is ridiculous. No personally I really hope to see raids with kanaxai and urgoz in the coming months but i am dreaming.

  9. the main dev who was in charge of specializations (HOT+POF) left arena a little less than a year ago, it's not surprising. We really feel the difference. Like lots of super talented people who were fired after POF, which explains the drop of quality in all game categories (even at the level of the scenario and the design of the maps).
  10. istan and sandswepts isled are living stories maps, with an expansion map with the size of those in POF, you can largely cover the majority of shing jea island. If they ain't even able to do that, it's sad anyway

  12. Yet they succeeded with the POF desert. Obviously it has changed a lot between gw1 and gw2 but we clearly feel that we are in the same place, the same atmosphere, often the same brightness, the area has kept the same soul. But shing jea, if i didn't know it was this place, I wouldn't be able to recognize it. Everything changed. I do not understand the interest of returning to cantha if it is not to respect the essence of this continent. Especially to do something a hundred times uglier than the original place. Arena recreated cantha to attract the nostalgic but if it was to do something unrelated to the original place , they could avoid it and go to a whole new continent... If the old players return there, it is partly to feel the atmosphere that we experienced 16 years ago with an evolution obviously. There for the moment, it is frustrating rather than anything else considering the massacre.
  13. I don't think he's talking about the character of the players but rather the skill. It's true that gw2 is one of the less experienced community mmos. The proof being that pvp, raids and other more complicated content are practiced by very few people. It's one of the only mmo I've played where there are so few players attracted to the challenge That's why it will always remain a game without fame because it does not attract really invested players but rather casuals who just want to farm while drinking a coffee
  14. it's even worse for a guild wars 1 player , this map was sensational on the first game and it is even much more beautiful than this one despite being 16 years old it's just crazy what they did ..

God after this live, I'm even more shocked than before, it is not only a problem of colors but even the textures and the buildings with a chinese style which does not correspond at all to cantha.... it's a disaster, gw1's shing jea map looks much more beautiful even with 16 years old graphics.
  16. Right, it may be 16 years old and have totally outdated graphics. It's so cool to explore, pleasent colors, perfect light, peaceful atmosphere. Shing jea is really one of my best memories of guild wars 1, it saddens me to see this island turn into some kind of disgusting green salad. A shame.
  17. Yes the color would be much nicer like that however, we can really see that it is not just a problem of color. The textures and the environment are very low end compared to the other extensions. And so different from the design of the guild wars 1 map .. ^^ there is something artificial with the rocks and the vegetation, i haven't seen this on gw2 until now.

  20. Yes I just saw, I hope it was just a mistake, it scared me a bit .. 4 would be the minimum to exploit the continent and 5 would be perfect. Because of course, they will do the rest with a living story but the expansion maps are always much more elaborate and vast. As i thought it looks nothing like shing jea from gw1, I don't ask for a copy but at least to feel the atmosphere and soul of cantha I feel like we are in a sylvari area, this fluorescent green, it's horrible... Looks like blade and soul with playstation 2 graphics, I think they never set foot on gw1 faction to have a result so far from reality And I misread or there will be only 3 maps?
