  1. I wouldn't bother raiding old content, you can play WvW and get a full legendary armor set from there. The new strike missions will probably be a good candidate for a new better looking legendary armor set. You can still run raids with your PvE guild. We need a report option to report content sellers. Doesn't selling content violate the User Agreement? User Agreement: NCSOFT West
  2. Congratz, I hope she grows up and become a brilliant genius, probably Scarlett would have been enough in my opinion.
  3. I am happy about the direction set from Cameron for instanced content, lovely talented man. I am glad the new strikes will grant one currency, to be honest with you the current strikes currencies are a bit off putting for me being too many and the raiding community is thinning. Hope the new content will save this game, fingers crossed 🙂
  4. *Laughs loudly* Relax, you are just pointing out some of the disappointments I have reported in this forum last year when I started playing this game and getting to inspect the NPCs who are part of the lore. I don't know anybody who got banned for discussing the lore. Feedbacks are what customers do, being either positive or negative, I think it's always worth the time to read them. I don't want to mention here the people who influenced the lore or the game development because some of them don't work for ArenaNet anymore but I welcome any discussion and ideas on how to improve the future lore for the better, as long as ArenaNet and their writers are happy about it. I would personally like a good in depths developed male character that can be used as a role model, not necessarily flawless. Since we lost Trahearne the game is currently lacking well developed and interesting male characters. I don't like neither misogyny nor misandry in video games, I don't think something so miserable should belong in a game. I have had to make every single one of my characters male to fill the gap of an interesting male character. Even the Dragon is female, Aurene. Poor Vlast never had a chance to be developed further.
  5. Sorry to burst your bubble but "growing a thicker skin" won't protect you from verbal abuse and toxicity, all this nonsense about suggesting others to grow a thick skin is just an excuse to justify the narcissistic verbal abuse and toxicity used by immature and mean gamers whose sole purpose is to erase someone else's humanity. So no, I am not tolerating toxicity anymore and neither the gaming companies should. Some of the biggest gaming companies already formed an Alliance to combat toxicity in the gaming communities, the toxic folks will have to grow up and start behaving in the future. Major Gaming Companies Form Alliance to Combat Toxicity (gamerant.com) Even ArenaNet can join the Fair Play Alliance, here is the link to join them if anyone is interested: Members – Fair Play Alliance Let's make the gaming world a better environment.
  6. You would not benefit from updrafts because if you had both Skyscale and Griffon you would travel so fast passing through updrafts without going up and if you did you would lose your speed from diving with the Griffon.
  7. Some people here still don't understand that their freedom to write in these forums is not a right but a privilege and NCsoft has the right to remove a user's privilege from posting in these forums. I suggest everyone to stop using derogatory terms and keep the discussion civilized if you want to continue.
  8. Yes I like it and if it was the name of a fragrance for men I would buy it
  9. Being caring and supportive doesn't mean being verbally abusive, the best way to support someone in need is to show empathy and give good advices. Feeding the entitlement of a toxic person doesn't make you strong, you are just allowing the abusive person to feel empowered. Strong people stand up for themselves and not tolerating toxicity and verbal abuse is one step further towards being strong.
  10. It's not a matter of growing a thick skin. You don't tell people to man up, end of story. Instead of feeling entitled and pretend from other people to tolerate being insulted you should learn to respect them and show good manners which are a must have in order to guarantee yourself a peaceful place in society. Antisocial behavior and verbal abuse don't belong here, I don't think gamers understand the TOS so I will link them for you to read: NCSOFT West You can also read the forum's Code of Conduct which it doesn't hurt: Guild Wars 2 Official Forums: Code of Conduct (“Forums Code of Conduct”) | GuildWars2.com
  11. Those are strictly Asura skills, the other races have no access to them.
  12. Is the new Elite skill going to be a Mecha suit? That alone would be a selling point for me https://tenor.com/view/mobile-suit-gundam-anime-robot-kitten-gif-23441999
  13. The best way to deal with the Quickness/Alacrity Meta is to allow all professions to generate these boons for at least a whole party of 5 members and the boon generation has to change from melee stacking to AoE.
  14. Your friend is lucky he didn't get sued because it's a criminal offense to send death threats online despite how unlikely it could be to happen.
  15. I quitted League of Legends after receiving threats and all sorts of insults, including players wishing me kitten, playing non competitive modes and ranked games. I have quitted that game because I don't tolerate this kind of toxic behavior. Would you be happier if GW2 players did the same? I don't think ArenaNet would be happy about that...
  16. Good manners should be taught by parents, unfortunately toxicity in the gaming community is a growing problem and the gaming companies have to address toxicity seriously because it damages their incomes. If toxic players keep being awful they only force the gaming companies hands to address their bad behavior with harsher measures. Toxicity is a time bomb, every company should take this problem seriously.
  17. Stop telling people to man up, if you can't write something nice don't write anything at all.
  18. Hi @Fny.4502, as someone who doesn't tolerate rudeness my advice to you is to block the mean players and if you are still feeling bad you could take a break from the game playing something else or do something else entirely with your spare time. Taking a little break from playing the game would be a healthier choice in this case. I am sorry you have had to experience verbal abuse for playing sPvP, not everyone is lucky enough to being raised with good manners and rudeness is not something we have to tolerate.
  19. Impressive, well done, @Drawner.2619amazing job
  20. I feel as if ArenaNet needed to expand their number of employees to improve the development of GW2. The company has experienced a huge number of layoffs recently and it's clear to me their employees are struggling with the amount of work that needs to be done. If I was the Head of NCsoft I would invest more on GW2 development being this game a big chuck of their revenue with very good prospects.
  21. One of the Chrono Mesmers I played with in fractal was dealing 100k cleave on T4 Siren's Reef last boss before the big balance patch, by the logic of those claiming Guardians and Necromancers to be the favoured professions Mesmers should be considered the top favoured child of Anet. The reality is some professions are better at cleaving, others are not. Cleave DPS is not considered relevant by raiders when benchmarking a profession.
  22. The dye system is currently showing the wrong colours when using the same dye on the same armour weight (heavy, medium, light). Can you fix this by showing the same colour shade on all armour pieces? For example when I use the celestial dye on my heavy helm it shows the colour white as it should be but after applying the same colour on my Warlord's gloves the same colour appears greyish. I would like all colours to have the same shade on all my armour pieces. I don't understand why the shades look different.
  23. They are both very good at cleaving adds, you shouldn't take cleave into consideration when comparing each profession's DPS. Benchmarks are done on single targets. You can cleave even with very selfish profession specializations and top the DPS meters, for example hitting Rifle 2 with a Deadeye on a stacked group of adds while kneeling, as you can see cleave is objectively not very relevant when comparing DPS.
  24. So far I have only been disappointed by the new Elite Specs, my hype was gone long time ago and peaked the lowest point when Catalyst was revealed. Now Scepter Thief, is going to be revealed at the end of October.
  25. I disagree with you because Catalyst's current benchmark exceeded 45k DPS. Damage is not everything to consider on an Elite Spec, utility, survivability, boon generation are way more important factors and trait synergy as well. Another important factor is a lot of players don't like Catalyst as it is, many of them expected a pure ranged Spec with Rifle or Longbow, not this mid range hybrid which doesn't fit a Spellcaster with the lowest hp in the game. If ArenaNet designers think scholar professions have to be melee mages they should raise every profession's base HP to 15k, except for Warrior and Necro which are balanced around at 19k base HP and give Elementalists better utility options and alacrity (both Elementalists and Mesmers got their magic from the same Goddess so it would make sense).
