I mean yeh, there are workarounds and such, but first, the squad that got merged suffers, and second, you are either force to kick a bunch of people although they did nothing wrong, or reach cap squad size and lose players from joining. Again, its not the end of the world in general, but it is such a useless feature that just opens the door to trolls, and I think can be easily diabled if a dev decides.

I really hope people in anet read this stuff, and consider it. I think it is such an easy thing to disable, and will fix a lot of troll related (and accidental) issues with lfg.

you cannot change those setting while you are in the lfg system. they cannot merge anyway if you are not in lfg.

As a community leader, I do lots of public squads, and lead a daily 2 hour train. It is a rising issue, when people troll and enter groups, just so they can merge it with other groups. This function is so bad, and harmful to both of the groups involved, and to be honest, I do see any good use out of it. it disrupts both groups activity, and usually forces me to kick a lot of people who just want to be together, but forced by a troll to merge. It will be great if this function can be removed, or somehow restricted to ask approval from both commanders in order to merge.

The issue exist for at least half a day already, and they might not "have to" fix it, but some sort of communication would have been nice. Also I assume they have some staff working on sunday, and this is quite a major issue, not a small bug or something. Its a whole game mode that is not functioning. Let the man be upset that his plans got ruined, even if its nobody's fault.

I really love gw2, and almost every aspect of the design, and QoL features in the game. There is one thing that bothered me that was never "fixed", and that is the option to permanently hide personal story. I have just a mild case of ADHD, and it really gets me. can't imagin a person with a sever case, that have 10+ toons, like me, that have to be forced to play all the story over and over. Please let us hide it. Maybe provide the option if one of the charecters on the account finished that chapter or something. I don't fully understand the reason behind the persistance of this, but please make it somehow doable, without playing the story over and over and over again. This has been written with great love and devotion to this game, and to Anet.
