I think that the power creep is intended to promote Soto. I liked my two swords too. My accounts 2-4 (no soto) are lacking in every class I play in wvw. Even in the more recent popular power core guard with hammer. One may think hammer core guard is for everyone, but longbow as second set is important. And that's all tied to SotO. Anet is so cunning. Even as a pure WvW player you are dependent on the expansions if you don't want to be left behind.

Ok, I misunderstood it then. Man, Anet really hates defence. Why is it even a task in daily/weekly rotation then? Needs to be removed there too. Better be replaced by: Didn't defend a single objective (as new daily and weekly)

Events in GW2 to honour 20 years of GW1, that affect GW1... they warp Aurene to GW1 where she'll start events to return to her time (and leave lil presents here and there) 🤣 (I'd install my GW1 again then) (I miss her)

What? Why? Because of smaller claim circles? The only little game breaking from this update may be the golem not causing the keep to go in fight. While it looks like it only favours sneak attacks, it also values and/or brings back the good old objective scout again and for t3 keeps it means the defenders still can use the wp.

As if any ascended item from HoT is easy to obtain. As I experienced it, it takes time to fill tedious achievements. And WV offers only celestial and berserker as useful stats. Everything else was outdated years before WV got implemented.

For my non-SotO accounts it was worth it before and is still worth it. Since they're all set to wvw they do themselves most of the time. It's just additional gold on top of playing the usual. And if it's 30 or 35 or 40 or 45 aa, I don't really care.

I know the feature is still in the doing. I play wvw only with standard models for foes and allies and even set the graphic model quality to lowest so that almost everything is replaced by (non-distracting) standard models. At the moment it is also applied to the new cosmetic inspection feature. Means I only see the standard model in the preview. I'd like it to be the only place where I can see how the player sees his own character (I know it counters the lowest quality settings for model, but please...). Guess that's the plan then. Half rides the karma train and the other half does gvg. Although the updates look ridiculous at first glance, I'm curious to see what they will do/change. How the players will adapt. Whether they'll come up with something (because karma trains are really too boring to keep up with). It's kind of exciting. Maybe the changes should have been even more drastic. Just for a change, a change that can affect the overall actual gameplay (boonballing is almost as boring as Choo Choo Karmatrain - what's the difference between Boonball and Karmatrain? The karmatrain at least moves to win 🤣 )

That's so sad to hear. I can't recall that this happened to me in the past 4 years. I'm used to not getting defence counted (but even that improved lately that I can't complain anymore, or because I don't take it seriously anymore). But offence? Like you said, you stumble over guard, apologize and still get credit for the claim. Two days ago I went to WvW for my morning round, my group was already in the lord room of the enemy Hills, so I went to their planned next objective, since I couldn't reach Hills in time, went to the camp to get supps and got gold for Hills. Simply for existing xD (that was a first too)

While I read the update notes, I scrolled up again to check whether it really said April 16the and not April 1st 🤣 I'm not sure what to make of it, I feel too trolled atm.

Hello, today I helped take Stonemist Castle with my second account. That didn't go without a fight, because the Reds defended it. So the brawl in the lord's room was the usual one. I attacked and killed players, attacked the lord every now and then or CC'd his defiance bar, buffed players (was a dragon/dwarf herald). Then when he fell I went into the corridor towards the red third to intimidate the reds a bit with a few other players not to run to the claim circle. The thing turned green and I didn't get it counted (for the weekly). All the years before, this kind of behavior always counted towards success. I guess something went wrong with the update of the claim circles on April 16th. I wasn't in it, but that's never been a problem before. I don't know if it's same for other objectives.

No, they did not. You have an unhealthy mindset about online gaming if you think so. The game got updates, it changes and it will do so over time. It affects everyone. The good and the bad. If you can't live with the idea of something, you've previously invested in, being downgraded, then maybe online games aren't your thing. It happened to everyone and will happen to everyone in the future. You invest your time. And wasting time happens to everyone in one way or another with every update. Every serious wvw player "lost" more gold when the memory of battle dropped from like 20 to 5 silver each. Where is my compensation? I had about 5k of them.

I'm surprised it's not 1 every 10 sec in wvw. Weird is the note about a defiance bar: "Works on all bosses or any foe with a Defiance bar."

I often hear a ring (something found) but see no red dot(s). And I doubt it's always stealthed players.

I know about the repair issue, also there's a bug when opening a gate on red map in their home keep that you can fall through the map. If you know those you can avoid it. But getting from other players pulled into a stuck position is just too random. Cannot be avoided.

I can give you one from just today. I've several rare hero weapons in my bank and wanted to upgrade them to their exotic versions (other skin) to free the occupied bank space. The weapon itself lists what you need to get, like elona wine, some t6 material etc to throw into the mystic forge. So I got all the pieces for all weapons that I knew but I didn't know the gift of heroes. Went to wiki to check where to get it and it said it is discontinued 😆😮😞 Now upon receiving the rare version it automatically unlocks the exotic version at some merchant. Means I didn't need to store them in my bank for weeks/months in the first place. It wouldn't be so annoying if I wasn't just broke atm (after crafting Conflux and buying the copper salvage tool today).

As for a personality system: I want to be called by my name and not just as commander or way finder or whatever. I have a name, not just a title. But not even in text it is used.

To me the difference between ascended gear and exotic is more than just 5% Maybe it's because of the additional infusions. But I notice it between my accounts. Before the vault giving away ascended gear only my main acc had the good stuff. But all my accounts have the same set chars for wvw. With arc I even saw the difference. Getting ascended gear outside of core stats is still difficult (or expensive when stats changing via the mystic forge). I'm collecting for a minstrel setup on my third account at the moment and I do it via wvw. I need to run a certain reward track until I got 6 pieces of triumphant armor to unlock the ascended version of it at the skirmish merchant. Then I need quite an amount of several wvw currencies to buy the pieces. The pieces are cheap and the wvw currencies cost time, it is a time consuming way. But an excellent way for those who like that game mode.

This is so blatant and I can not even comprehend it anymore. If I want to send something from one account to another, I have to use the friends list. It's very short. Because if I start typing the name in the recipient field, it suggests all kinds of people, but not primarily those from my friends list oO Same thing if I want to send a gift to someone in the store (bought for gems). I don't even know all the people who are listed as possible recipients. It's easy to make a mistake with the numbers at the end. That's why you should only use the friends list or invite someone to the group and then right-click.
