  2. Not sure if this is just a weird translation nor if this could be a plot for future but the last words of Soo-Won in the FR version is "I return to the Dream". It left me puzzled in regard of the origin of the Dream itself as the positive matter Vs the negative one (the Void).

Well mini-seasons are a good testing playground, right ? :wink:That said, I would really like to see Stronghold become a real soloQ friendly game mode for which a MOBA like meta would settle while Conquest would be THE organised game mode.Back in the days of original GW I really enjoyed having and switching between a mayhem mode (RA), a non-organized mode (AB) and a demanding organized one (GvG). I wish the new trinity would be Deathmatch, Stronghold, Conquest.
  4. Story: well written, but a bit short. The pacing of it is classic (Intro instance, map discovery, fight and cliffhanger/surprise Instance) but the formula works. I am still missing concurrent arcs that need to be completed before the resolution but in an episodic delivery of content this is non realistic.Map: different yet goes well with the first half. Drakkar fight is OK but a bit too static for its length. Lore-wise I haven't explored it enough yet but it seems to be on the low side. Sure we experience things like the three lost spirits (which has been the best tribute they could get) but I also like to read things about the mythology of the world (like learning more about the Kodan culture and view of the past and actual events).Masteries: at last, the exp requirements become meaningful again (cf HoT) to get the feeling that the word progression in "vertical progression" has a meaning. I feel like the next days/week of gameplay will not just be collection farm and achievements hunt.Strike: tried briefly... Now we're talking! And they update to the previous ones give the feeling that they can represent challenging content. Too bad these are less deep in lore and narrative than raids though.All in all it seems there will be things to do on this map for a good amount of time. Now taking the bundle "Prologue, Episodes 1 and 2" I think we have something equal or even a bit superior in term of content and quality than Act1 of any expansion... Sure it was delivered within 4 months but it was free.
  5. For sPvP, have you consider a change in the stat budget through amulets? I know this puts WvW aside (or at least it would requires more work) but capping the main offensive stats to lower numbers while having the defensive ones remains the same would necessarily tone down the global power level but keep the power ranking of individual skills. A skill designed as powerful would remain powerful but would give more reaction time to the defender who could survive a bit longer. I thought it was the original idea of having separate modes : balancing the game mode by adjusting the stats and keeping a global balance for skills.
  6. Two questions from my side.Rytlock and Rox: what is their relationship. Rytlock knows Rox since she was in Fahrar and the datamined end of season one presented them as half brother. Now that we know that Rytlock has cubs...could Rox be...?Narrative method: I really loved branching arcs in the original GW, both in Factions and in GW:EN. Doing some story steps in different orders gives some kind of uniqueness to story experience. I am personally feeling in those cases more bonds to some characters because I actively chose to follow their needs first, I had to decide what I found being a priority. Could you imagine in a potential future in which story steps would be bundled (aka expansion) to consider writing some branching arcs ? In an episodic way of releasing story I see why it would be almost impossible (unless three episodes are released altogether but you can only do one every 3 months...gosh what a frustrating design oO) but in case of expansion ....who knows.
  7. I know it is a bit far fetched but what if "Mother" was actually Aurene?During the fight, Kralk says : But you are of me. And soon I will be of you.Basically he says that once Aurene absorbs his power, he will be part of her, as much as she, as his grand daughter, his part of him. Maybe this line is the opening of the plot of S5: how will Aurene cope with having three Elder dragon within her, without the torment that should come along with this cocktail, and some foreign magic (from Balthazar). Will she have to fight against the thirst of magic brought by those personalities and succeed in sharing this magic with the world?
  8. I am puzzled by the fact that Kralk did not brand Aurene... she would have been a very strong ally for him. Also something that I do not understand correctly: Aurene and Kralk share the same "crystalline vibration" and using branded crystals to kill her, means he used his own weakness...which should have killed him. Right now I wonder if Aurene could not have become a "parasite" in Kralk. Her last shot could have been a way to "transfer" into the Elder dragon and once this latter will be weak enough, she will gain control of it, "Blue-branded" from the inside. She has some mind abilities (maybe more than Kralk since she was one of the first target of Mordremoth's lost power) which could help her and some unknown magic from Joko that Kralk did not touch yet which are death related.What if her mind would be in Kralk's broken/half-branded eye waiting the right time to invade the host?
  9. I have nothing against the licence per say but the quality of the skin is wayyyyy too spread. My first two skins were the most unnoticeable skimmer skins you can imagine. While some are really cool, some ok, there are still skins that are not warranting being different skins. Channel colour is cool sure but not enough to be a skin by itself.On top of this I wish one could at least say which mount should be selected. Two skimmers in a row for me was really a disappointment.... and the first raptor I got was maybe the 10th skin... and of course was the crappiest one.
  10. Pros: great story, nice Especs (with 2 per class one feel the choice now), maps are beautiful, mounts are original, make sense in the game and have each their own flair, Forged on surf! Cons: too many mobs are glass canon in design, maps feel like there won't be too much reason to keep them alive and are a bit too much directed (compared to jungle), only branded Forgotten !, too many collections at once and no sub categories for POF collections, too much T6 nodes everywhere
