  1. On the whole I didn't like it. Compared to the previous two it feels like a letdown. It might be because I wasn't bothered by any of the selling points, which may have skewed my view about it somewhat. - Not interested in fishing and even if I was the actual mini game is not condusive to a peaceful time fishing. - Skiff is pointless because I don't fish. - The Turtle doesn't seem to do much compared to the other mounts. - Strikes don't appeal to me. They just seem like a lazy filler for actual dungeons/fractals/content etc. - The story is mediocre at best. - The maps range from decent to dreadful. Kaineng City is easily the worst map in the game. Empty, difficult to navigate and very, very, very dull. Seitung Province is a pretty map, but it's nothing special otherwise. Echovald is ok but again it doesn't do anything for me. Dragon's End is green. The only thing that appealed to me were the Elite Specs and even they turned out to be a mixed bag. Vindicator and Virtuoso I like. Harbinger, Bladesworn and Mechanist with it's gigantic cockroach can all breed and travel. Especially Mechanist. The others are not interesting. I only ever go to EoD maps to do the occasional daily for currency and then forget it exists.
  2. Same here, put a bug report in yesterday but so far I've seen 5 reports of it on the forums. And one of them was mine. Nice to see bladesworn is well represented in the game.
  3. Likewise. It either instantly goes into cooldown or builds charge and swaps weapon skills to my second weapon.
  4. I've had the same error. I've been getting the red build invalid error in the chat box for a few days. Logged back in once to find my shiro/kalla legends had changed to demon/nothing and the utlities slots were empty. I just tried to change the traits and got the serious crash message.
  5. Somehow managing to target the mob behind me or out of sight behind a mountain rather than the thing hitting me in the face repeatedly. The fact that the Binding of Ipos floats in front of my characters head while riding. Not being able to use any renegade utilities because of "no valid path to target" despite being on the level ground (I'm looking at you, Specimen Chamber). Weapons that float 6 inches from my characters hips. Hammers that are "sheathed" head side up. The weapon skins that would do more harm to the wielder than their foe. Give me the stretch animation back. The seam across the back of some characters. I'm going to stop now...
  6. Yup, had issues for the last hour or so. Spoke to a few guildies and they're having issues too, apart from one in wvw. Constant DC's all morning for them. It appears to be linked to zone transition for us.
  7. You did ask for a challenge. I have solo'd a few champions with a thief. I'm pretty casual and even I find it is doable. Plus you also want to explore. Fighting every mob can get boring.
  8. I actually tried something similar a little while ago. I set myself some limits like no mounts and only using dropped loot and karma items. I also used Mesmer as I remembered back at the start of gw2 it was by miles and away the slowest class to level. If I did it again, I would probably use thief. More mobile, more able to get through the 'difficult' areas and much, much more fun than core mesmer. Good luck.
  9. I'm not that bothered by horses, but my little girl took one look at it and went 'eww'. If she disapproves, I know it's an ugly nag. Even if I won this from a BLC, I'd not use it.
  10. Adding my voice to this debacle. Yeah, I'm not happy with this. Like most people I salvaged the weapons. This is a poor reason to replay the map.
  11. Mostly evade spamming mobs like branded griffons or sand lions but the one that triggers me most are the bandit archers in dungeons that can block for days. With a bow.
  12. Astralaria because I went through the heck of making it and I still love it.Binding of iPods. Looks amazing, I just wish the footprints were eyes looking out from the void.I love my Moot, Dreamer and Quip because my friends loathe them. I want Exordium, I just wish it was slightly smaller. And I'm not sure I can face the grind for gold again.
  13. I'm not sure why people are getting mad at what is essentially free new content. It's an announcement showing the game is still growing, that there is still a fair bit of life in the old girl and it's still worth playing. I imagine the style of announcement was to promote GW2 as a whole against the launch (in the same week) as wow classic.
  14. As a filthy casual, I'm not as deeply invested in the game as some, or as overly sensitive as others so the way the updates were announced is fine to me. I'm just happy for more content. Not that it matters, but I was under the impression that the style of announcement was different this time to garner a bit more attention as wow classic launched and reminded the mmo community of the joy of queueing for a space on a server.
  15. At 80th it's mostly down to finding a build I like for each profession. Even so, the easiest to play is either my staff Daredevil or my Scourge. Hardest is by miles and away the weaver. I seem to have a continuous brainfart every time I log on with it. Leveling back in gw2 before the expansions, the easiest to learn was Ranger for the meat shield pewpew playstyle. Hardest was probably the mesmer as it took forever to get anywhere in anything.
