I tested all engi weapons, including the mace and this issue appears on all weapons, on both hands - except for the shield - as well as raptor reins. Looks like it's the gloves as there's no issue when I remove them or when I switch to another template with different gloves. I recently switched the skin on these gloves, before this I had Mist Shard Bracers and they had the same issue, or at least used to have (didn't check before switching if the issue remained). I'm in the same boat as well. But, I was able to buy my bag slots and bank tabs directly from my character's inventory and bank so that's something.
