  1. Surprising and sad to hear, complete opposite of all my experiences.
  2. Had a quick look and I don't see any specific number of people required but it sounds like the process is a lot easier with other people helping you: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Guild_hall#Claiming_a_guild_hall
  3. I gave you the perfect out, where you could have easily said "Yeah all game modes should have different options".....Instead you decided to respond with "The content I want to play is fine, everyone should be cool with that - it's this game mode that's a problem because that's what I feel". Feelsbad.jpg, no hope.
  4. What about the Gifts required to make a Legendary that require PvE/Open World? Should there be other ways to obtain those? I don't necessarily think so, in the sense that the Gifts do what they attempt to: they get people to do multiple types of content. Yeah you might do some random solo activity, join a Zerg, or even AFK...how you participate in WvW and obtain the GoB is ultimately your choice.
  5. The only time I've ever been invited to a guild is when I messaged the leader of a guild I wanted to join. I guess people just love you. Or it says something about me. Oh well either way, rep a guild and problem should go away.
  6. As an AU player, I can't fathom WHY we would want Australian servers. Do we really think there are enough of us to populate them? People in our region (Asia Pacific) MAY choose to play on an AU server or they may not. Even if they do, I feel like there still wouldn't be enough to justify many worlds at all....which would lead to things being stale fast - especially in WvW. At this stage, I think Australians would have better luck lobbying their local MP to push through better internet infrastructure....instead of this copper mess that they've spent bagillions on and was obsolete before the project even really got off the ground.
  7. Well you see, us SoS users are only really used to attacking walls and K Training. We love to avoid fights, of course, so when it became a 3 way, we chose the path of least resistance and let those bags pour in. /s In all seriousness, though....an enemy is an enemy. While there may be some people that will organize 2 servers vs 1, in general it's not that complex.
  8. Regardless of ingame resources, in my opinion, there's always more fruitful resources online elsewhere for any game I've played. You can get by in GW2 without looking things up on the wiki, for example (stuff is added to the wiki by players, after all, so people did it without that), but in general why would you want to?
  9. You joined a WvW guild that isn't on your server and someone else is punishing you? Is this satire? Sounds like you have the best of both situations. You're on a server that you see as your team/guild, so nothing changes for you until the Alliances button is pressed for good. When that happens, you've already set yourself up in a WvW guild so you're good to go then, too. I don't see an issue.
  10. Free accounts that have upgraded by buying an expansion/expansions get a free transfer, if I understand correctly. People that owned the game before this came into effect (i.e. paid copies of the base game) get no free transfer, even if they own the expansions. I looked into this when I wanted to transfer to my guild's server for WvW...unfortunately as I had bought my copy of the base game, I did not have a free transfer available to me.
  11. Seems like this is something that'd be solved with less QQ and more Pew Pew
  12. Siege tortoise won't be in WvW on release...they haven't ruled out adding it in at a later time, though. I feel like I'd avoid a water based map if people tend to gravitate toward underwater combat hehe....I have a hard enough time fighting on land. I guess I could pew pew from a skiff though!
  13. That's kind of silly to think about....I guess the logic works if you're living off funds you already have and don't work, since the money you already have goes further in some nations than it does in others. In the circumstance of a working person, though, a poorly paying job is most likely going to pay just as poorly in another country - the only difference being you possibly living in a country with poorer conditions and social welfare in general. Come to think of it, I can think of at least 1 country where even high profile jobs earn poorly - Venezuela. People go from respected professions like accountants etc to full time gold farmers and account trainers in online games because it earns them a lot more LOL.
