  1. Except EVERYONE can do this without spending ages getting to t4 fractals.
  2. Trade in 1000 memories of otter for another eye, as long as you have one.
  3. As engineers, when did we last "invent" anything?
  4. We all know the source here: op got beaten by an engineer and is all kitten. Rather than spend time getting better, he spent 2 hours digging up old vids.
  5. If that were true, the simplest first step is to eliminate what, about 3/4 of the runes and signets from the game? I mean, I LIKE the Rune of the Privateer, I wish it was optimal in SOME build, SOMEwhere. But it's not. I'd love them to take the high-effort road and give people an incentive for finding a use for some of the bizarre ones out there. If they actually want to avoid people making bad choices, it's pretty much down to offering zerker, viper, their slightly-tougher, slightly-less-dps variants. And then some oddballs for capping crit or boon duration or something.
  6. So "power budget" actually includes intangibles like "when did the nasty engineer hurt you as a child, and did a big green robot save you making everything good again?"
  7. Not sure iif they've 'fixed' it because I tried coming down on it every possible angle and direction, always port ed out.
  8. Delighted to see some of the changes walked back. Nice to know they're listening. I genuinely hope that their proposed changes to Scrapper in wvw bring them to a level comparable to other supports in terms of efficacy.
  9. Unfortunately 95% of the way to Juggernaut. 😐
  10. It may not be blocking progress, but I'd call what, 22+ items sitting in my precious bag space that - can't be sold - can't be salvaged - are worth 100 UM each so I'd really rather not destroy them ....blocking something. I'll take a free extra bag slot on that character and a 24 slot bag in lieu of fixing the issue.
  11. You know there are other game modes than wvw, yes?
  12. Maybe because every other note in the comments said "in wvw and PvP only" BUT NOT THIS ONE? They "missed it"...because there was no such comment. I hoped it was a typo, but I think it's pretty unlikely that make a MECHANICAL change of such magnitude different in PvP than PvE. Is there any other instance where they literally changed how a skill works from one mode to another?
  13. And the people supporting it seem to believe the only game mode that exists is WvW. Your point?
  14. So screw them in every other aspect of the game because they were op in wvw? Sure, makes perfect sense!
  15. Then fix it in wvw, don't roundly screw it in every other place people play it, maybe?
  16. Was WVW overwhelmed with thousands of scrappers? I haven't seen it. Yes, there are some that still remain in wvw you know, unlike PvE where they've been basically purged in favor of the all-better Mech. Jesus. Who is sitting there making these changes saying "yep, this is better for BALANCE"? Wait a second...Eureka! Everyone said they need to revisit turrets so by making scrappers main thing immobile, they're basically now performing like turrets! Both problems solved.
  17. OK so here's what I was missing - the transfer from flow to bullets. I didn't realize (my stupid) that the play-style was (when flow is up) f2 and THEN WAIT while flow converts to bullets before doing a dragon-slash (or whatever). Once I grasped that, all makes sense now. Thanks all for the explanations.
  18. They may not but I will! (I posted this on reddit as well, so pls ignore if you see it there too) ELI5 Bladesworn. This is going to sound like a cataclysmically stupid question, but truly, I've been playing a warrior for 10 years and I simply cannot wrap my head around Bladesworn; either it's so astonishingly easy I'm unwilling to accept, or (more likely) I'm missing the point entirely. IF (big "if") I understand correctly, BS game rhythm is: Go into 'unsheathe gunsaber' mode. At some point once you've accumulated energy from fighting (is there a difference between the bar, and the bullets, or is that literally the same information?) you can kick into Dragon Trigger F2. When F2 is active, you have a different action bar. This consists of Triggerguard (aegis) or Flickerstep (blink) or 3 attacks: Force (most damage), Boost (charge to 750, less damage), Slash (least damage, range to 900) all of which burn whatever energy is built up. Any one of the attacks, or movement other than Flickerstep or Boost, kicks you out of F2. Rinse, repeat. But the wiki on Dragon Trigger is confusing AF to me: "While channeling, you drain flow. Each interval increases the charge level of Dragon Slash." This basically says that as long as you stay in F2 Dragon Trigger (no matter if you're doing anything) you're draining 'flow'. I'd say that this just makes it like garden-variety adrenaline...but it says 'channeling' which (in MMO parlance) generally means DOING SOMETHING OVER TIME....none of these abilities is CHANNELED, is it? You don't HOLD Dragon-Slash Force (1) for bigger hits or do you? And then it says each interval increases the charge level...but it just said it's DRAINING the energy too, no? If it really is just 'build energy, go into f2, do a thing, repeat' I mean, I get that, it's pretty simple albeit ...weird?... that a game fundamentally based on MOVEMENT AND DODGING DAMAGE basically designed a *warrior* class that is required to just sit there and not even twitch or it loses massive amounts of dps? Great against Octovine, I guess but everything else...? It also seems...a little frustrating that one can't really even SEE the Dragon-Slash abilities in game unless they're in Dragon-Slash mode, ie in combat. Or am I missing something there too? (Sure, we all can go to target dummies, but I'm talking about browsing ones abilities and such while, say, waiting for a meta to pop or in a lobby.) THANKS! Sorry for the dumb question.
