Was stuck in the same area, and read a tip. Bought a couple of Uncommon Kryptis Motivation -- which appears to be useful only in one map. Started in Amnytus, used the Uncommon Kryptis Motivation, seen a red text "You have begun tracking for tier 2 rifts." Then scanned, got character speak, used the Heart to scan for a rift (J). Threw up catmander and called out in map chat Tier 2 Rift on Green. Was able to continue the story and not on chapter 9.

Got the same response this evening too. And I have been actively buying gems every month , unless something really interesting showed up on BLTP. Been using the same card, plenty of cash in the bank, weird. Went to send an item to my alt account and noticed I did not have enough gems. Looked in email and got that dumb message. Never had it before either. Was going to get the moon chairs for both accounts. 😕

Have spent many hours searching for names of a "theme" online. Although I used the Friends Lists to check the names are not take. I have over 50 characters. A lot of common names are taken. An ex-GW1 guildy has a name I thought of, Taylor Skritt, and he took it. Sadly I've not seen him back in many years, and have sent in-game emails asking if he still plays her. I should of nabbed the name, but at the time I did not have the income to buy another slot. Do strongly suggested making 12 characters total, one for each month. Those birthday rewards are worth if if you plan to stay in the game. 😉 Oh, and make a simple spreadsheet to keep tracks of who is what, where they are at in crafting, story, race, base profession, elite profession, creation date, birthdays (for yearly goodies), etc. Across two accounts there is no way I can remember all that without a spreadsheet. I also add in names I had/have in Everquest 2 that I have yet to use here, namely because Anet has no Lizard race, and was hoping maybe Tengu would been a playable race. Most of my base names came from GW1, a few from Aion. Have a friend named Rosie.... and she has an alt with Rosie in there. What I do miss from EQ2 is that one could use a ' in the name. i.e. Karla De Veng'Nce There are times when you want a name and are a character or two over. So a ' can help shorten the name without it looking stupid. And was going to use an example, and found the name was not taken, so, yeah, there are available names out there, Virginia. 😉

Use extended characters. Don't get crazy with them. Like if I wanted Carman Camelion, which is no doubt taken, try: Cãrman Cãmelion Carman Camælion But, do not go how wild there... Cārmãn Cāmãlion Another way is to use alternative spellings, or shorten them up. But, let us say you got this name, Iksar Beastlord, and you want to know if it is taken. Copy the name, Iksar Beastlord, and paste into friends list. If it says the name does not exist it's free to be taken. If an account shows up, you can remove that player and try something else.

We, a bunch of us, sat outside Mori Village for over 3 hours and Saya never once started the Avian Sharpshooter event. Checked back after another hour, players will still there waiting. Can one of you developers, please have a talk with Saya. I know she doesn't want Tateo to lose, and they need more practice... but can we players have some practice at the Mastery point there too, please?

Lately I noticed if I take a long fall, perform a jump shot, glide then drop, or some mounts like raptor or jackal (then dismount), the mech vanishes. Even other players verified it was not just on my end. And it is notoriously occurring using Jump Shot. can only see the X (F4) and pressing that does nothing. No recall, recycle, nothing. The only work around I found is quite silly. Jump. Player does a simple jump and the mech returns with the mech command window.

Am enjoying the Mechanist. I don't use grenades as have to keep pressing, and I'm always moving. Flkamethrower is great for lots of mobs grouped together. The mace is good for a few on one, but the offhand is shield or pistol.... if was a torch (hehe). Miss the Scrppper builds, those were rather intimidating and players whined about those, especially in WvW. Problem is other players see that a basic class that did not offer much now has a semi-starring role. And we can contribute to groups. Mine I use the group buff on F2, and the F8 helps to heal the mech, others, and me if I am close in with mace. So do not seeing this as OP, I see it as being wanted in groups and metas whereas other Engineer builds not so much. Not everyone has the best sigils that can really expand upon the DPS on ANY CLASS. As for AFK stuff, I do not see it - nor would I want to. See far too many players in one spot as a minion necro farming spots, probably AFK. Seems any class with a pet does that and quite frankly that is irritating to see your own class pet-botting. Mechanist has a momentary stability. Have to dodge a lot, teleport player & mech, or jump shot. See far other classes out performing the Mechs. But who's complaining about Mechs being OP? Other classes that would rather not see an Engy in groups. And I have seen groups fall when the mechanist goes down. They are not full heals or buffs, it's all skills and sigil effects. Sigials are available to those that have access to the better one from Strike from the Aerodome or crafted (account bound). Am glad to see the Engineer/Mechanist being more self-sustaining for a change. Scrapper was really good too.

Luckily there was an angel out there on a EU server that donated a BIG chuck of Essences. So I no longer need them. Thanks to that exceptional player that came to my (our) rescue!! Who knew a EU player could visit a US Guild Hall. Could not see them, but added them as a friend, sent a temporary guild invite, and they said they had donated. Sure enough more than what I was wanting was there!! Just was not able to see them. If only we could see one another across the realms. Guess Guild Wars 2 is not that far advanced yet.

What is the going rate of exchange to have 400 Essence of Luck [Exotic] to be donated to a Guild Hall for Further Exploration? Since surviving a bad case of co-vid last December I decided to put my nose to the grind stone and got our Vabbi guild hall to almost 49 [so close]. Further Exploration wants 777 Exotic Essences of Luck. Am 405 away. Just do not know what to advertise for a stack, or per Essence, or what. Want to offer as a fair exchange. Any ideas?

Seen lots of guilds run Guild Rushes once to only get their guild commendations, then leave the guild rush open. Trying to get others to take advantage of this is the biggest issue. The Dragon Bash event does not help much either. Frog Council [FROG] came by later in the early morning hours and we got Bear Lope done, then went on a short bounty run.

Was looking for a shoulder item for an alt, and seen a Golden Racing Scarf there on the Trading Post. When clicking it, the purchase options in the bottom of the pop-up box displays nothing bu a rotating circle. Canceled. Clicked on other "racing" items, same issue. However when searching for Scarf and click on a non-racing scarf that works normally. Don't understand why anything Racing is not purchasable if it is listed for sale.

Vabbi Guild Halls should have their own Vabbi styled music theme(s).

Been noticing this today in WvW. A group in Henge of Denravi came in the weirdest lag happened. Not sure if it is a syncing issue, or if they was doing some DOS thing. And could tell when they were coming as the game would start acting up again. In massive fights is was difficult to do anything, and tried texting alerts and they were posted like 30 seconds later. Checked the ping and was only 695 regularly 340. It felt more like 4.5 K latency. Only happened with that one group. Probably a sync issue.
