  1. Guys... I see your point, but only handful of players were able to do that. Also, players who faced against Untamed in 1v1 before were able to dodge that combo easily. It wasn't as broken as OWP>LB 4>Rapid Fire>Smoke Assault combo that anyone can do without any game experience. I still believe that that wasn't proper way to nerf it. Thanks to this change, Untamed in WvW almost non-existent right now.
  2. I came back to game after 6 months of break, and I just saw that Anet gave cast time to Unnatural Traversal skill. This skill was the whole fun point of sPvP/WvW combos, because of this skill, Untamed was a viable spec for small scale fights. Whose idea was that and why did you do that? Probably this is the only teleport skill that has cast time in this game.

  4. If they really care about state of Mystic Coins, they need to make daily login rewards only obtainable for players who at least have PoF or HoT. There are tons of players who abused Twitch Prime reward, and got lots of alt accounts with that Heroic Edition. I don't think that completely removing MC drop from cms is a solution for this issue, instead only the final boss can drop 0-3 Mystic Coins or 1 MC for making it consistent.

  6. I’m currently using Lord Hizen’s pve build, it’s so fun, tanky and it has pretty high dps. Lastly, you’re running d/d, d/t on that build. You can check it on his YouTube channel.
  7. I think that equipment template cap can be increased to 9 or 10. If you're playing Wvw and pve both with your character, probably 6 templates won't be enough. It can be a good option for those like me who mostly play with one or two characters, don't want to pay for extra character slots everytime. Also in Wvw, there are some situations that you need to swap your gear immediately, being able to do that would be so convenient.
  8. Sure, but I don't think my opinions are going to change your negative perception. First of all, lets check what Spb has as dps/support: - You can be either dps or support for your team, both are viable builds. - Shake it Off , even though it has a long cd, you can cleanse your party when needed as dps/support. - Self stab with Balanced Stance, Winds of Disenchantment which is a really strong skill that can make you win fights when it's placed correctly, Endure Pain either from Defence trait line as support or as utility skill for surviving as frontliner. - Constant cc with hammer and F2, also immob if No Escape is picked. %21 damage boost with Berserker's Power, that means even though you're tanky with Dura runes as dps, you can still hit a lot. - You remove boons everytime you cc, thanks to Dispelling Force. Boon removal increased with Enchantment Collapse. - Small stab every 10 seconds with Brave Stride, if it's picked. - Lastly you can use your Break Enchantments utility every 15 seconds as long as you survive. What you can do as Untamed in small scale (15v15): - You can suprise enemy with going in with Forest's Fortification> precasting Nature's Binding> Unnatural Traversal> Rending Vines and rest is dps/cc with team. - Immob with Muddy Terrain or stun break for your party, if you take Protect Me instead of Muddy Terrain. I think what Untamed lacks: - A stun break like Dolyak Stance which allow you to go in as frontliner and survive. - Your boon removal is pet dependant. Maybe you can dodge enemy cc and damage but your pet can't do that. Probably it'll die to first rev spike or going to be cc'ed when you're trying to use Rending Vines. - Selfish. Ranger still doesn't have any utility that can bring anything to team. With Soulbeast you can share your stances, at least can give big stab with Dolyak Stance and heal conditions with Bear Stance. Untamed doesn't have anything like that. Even with Rev, you can provide constant boons without doing anything. - Because it lacks self stab, a good stun break, you can't go in as much as Spb. Forest's Fortification looks good on paper, let's say you went in with that, reduced it's cd to 50. That means you have to wait for like 50 SECONDS which is so long for small fights. You can still be stacked with your team, get your stab from fb and go in with your team but, as a Immobbeast/dps Spb player and a frontliner, I refuse to play like that. With Spb, you can go deep for focusing a low life person or securing a kill without dying. - Cc skills have long cd, Against good players, hard to get benefit from Fervent Force. - Probably won't be suitable for blobs. I might be missing few points but these are my thoughts. If nothing changes with incoming "big" balance patch, I don't think that Untamed will be useful in anything. Probably it'll end end up like Druid, which isn't used much except in raids. Untamed is just a good duelist spec atm, nothing more.
  9. Can Untamed really replace Spellbreaker in Wvw?? I didn't want to share my opinion since it's a poll. I wonder what you think about Untamed as a frontliner in Wvw.
  10. I believe you're mostly talking about pve. I mean in pve, all core classes don't have any identity. You can't see any core class in raids/fractals and strikes. Also core Ranger is one of the best duelist in spvp right now. I agree with controlling pet skills idea. It would give us more control over pet. Some pets are already op enough to one shot people in spvp, if that kind of change happened, I can't imagine "nerf" posts on forum. I'm also not sure about which trait made you think like that. Lastly, we haven't tried it yet. I can't say much about how it's going to be in pve/raids.
  11. I personally learned a lot about Ranger by watching Boycerino and Blindside_TV on Twitch. Both are top tier Ranger players.
  12. Some Ranger "mains" can't even control one pet properly and asking for two at the same time... This new spec looks like Bunnythumper people were talking about, cc heavy melee spec. I really liked it though. Seems like when you swap bounds, you/pet going to have a finisher blow. In video, when character shared bound with tiger, some kind of pods appeared and exploded. I'll be so nice, if it's an unique ability for each pet families. Also, because it's cc heavy spec, with Absorption/Severance sigils, it can be useful in Wvw zergs/blobs, but we'll see. It can be pog if pet becomes immune to damage when we share bound.
  13. Imo, in that way Fc and Tether are going to be a spammy op skills. Not triggering Fc in fights is the counterplay of that skill, it also requires decent 1v1 experience. Same for Tether, staying in range, not letting enemy to pull you also counterplay of it. For me, these counterplays are the things that making duels fun. I don't think they need to be changed, also don't think that Anet will bring cc damage back.
  14. Hey, I used to use this trait a lot before resistance change against condi matchups. But after the change, it became more useless and I think that it has to be changed. "%20 damage boost" for full-counter, which is a non damaging skill, completely irrelevant for Spvp/Wvw, only way you can get benefit from current resistance is using it against classes that have too many blind skills but the value that you're getting from Tether pull and reveal is way more worth. Imo, if resistance changed with Resolution (20-30 secs) and "%20 damage boost" replaced with a kind of damage boost like Peak Performance which gives around %5 damage boost for all skills (4-5 secs), can make this trait more viable in Spvp/Wvw.
  15. I'll be mostly talking about Spvp/Wvw. The reason I started to play Gw2 was Vaanss's montages. I loved Warrior's smooth pvp style, it was so simple, effective and fluid. I loved core Warrior, Spellbreaker and Berserker and played a lot even though they have been nerfed many times (same for Ranger). I was hyped, trusted you for spec design by looking what you did before but... Ngl, I personally found this new spec so clunky, it's pvp style totally a mess for me. I'm so disappointed. Even if you buff it's damage, probably I'm not going to play it again in beta. I hope that next 3 specs are going to be fine and you're going to polish this spec until actual release.
  16. I was watching old Wvw/Pvp Soulbeast videos on YouTube, and realized that we were able to do pet swap in combat before. I understand why Anet nerfed Soulbeast's base damage but can't really understand why they nerfed pet swap. I feel like they killed versatility and fun of this class by doing that. Why Anet really nerfed pet swap for Soulbeast? For balance wise, were you happy about this change?

  18. I'm a WvW player so I'll write mostly about it. For zerging, Soulbeast (immobeast build, axe-axe/gs variant), in squads isn't performing pretty well unless your squad has enough boonstips. Soulbeast can be replaced by a boonstrip class, support and damage classes. Because in terms of damage, there are better damage classes, even though immobilize is really powerful condition, if squad doesn't have strips, your immo not going to work on enemy (or it's going to be cleansed by good enemy supports). Because of tons of projectile reflects and barriers, your damage always be limited and even though Barrage is a skill that not effected by projectile block barriers, it's damage isn't that punishing. I haven't tried Druid support in squads yet but I'm guessing because of the Celestial Form cooldown, it's support not that available and there is no need to talk about core, when it comes to team play, it's just awful. For roaming, imo except Power Druid, all ranger builds performing pretty well. Ranger itself a pretty strong class for roaming but there is a bug that irritates me so much. When you use Maul and if you sheath your weapon before animation ends, Maul is going to be on cooldown. It can be so annoying while doing 1v1 against a Spellbreaker. My expectation from patch was a rework on Druid for making it more viable specialisation but it didn't happen. I feel like they spent their time on reworking other classes so much, there wasn't enough time to touch ranger. At the end of the day, Anet isn't filled with robots at all, I think they'll reconsider Ranger's situation in future. Personally, I just want them to fix bugs instead of fully focusing on nerfs or buffs.
  19. As a said in another thread in the section ranger, a berserker pew-pew is not viable in pvp or wvw, I die always because all other classes have access to blockages, barrier, and evasions. The only way to win is marauder with sword/dagger immobeast, or condi druid. You should avoid 1v1 with spvp roamer build but you can help your side noders with that build. While they're doing 1v1, they're inevitably using their stun breaks, blocks or barries which help you to melt enemy. All you need with that build is timing/good kiting skills (which depends on you). Personally, I'm using it while roaming in wvw too. I generally hunt enemy zerg's tail (people who wasn't able to catch squad).

  21. Probably they were using condi soulbeast builds or core axe ranger. Sic’em soulbeast, decap druid and core ranger builds (all of them using lb) always been a thing on spvp. You know because spvp population isn’t that big, you maybe matched with same players. Vallun, Cro Tiger and Zynvo are playing with condi/Sic’em soulbeast builds on YouTube.

Oh yes, its to the point with spell effects and item particle effects I cant see the bad on the ground heck with so many spells going off in a group sometimes you cant even see the mob your hitting lol. Please add a slider or switch in EoD to turn down particle effects from other players. Actually, "standart enemy/friendly models" in options doing that switch job. If you're a wvw player, maybe you can try to set "character model limit" to "lowest". I think these options are going to help you. "Postprocessing" to "none" also would be good touch for these settings for clearer view.

Also, in Gw2 almost all skins have trail and swing effects, as you read earlier (I assume you read it), that was a problem about the my specialization which prevented me to see swing effects. If you buy anything (not just in GW2) without inquire about the item you are buying, you have 0 rights to complain about its missing properties that only you expected. Yes, you do. Sometimes items that you bought can't be as same as shown on it's site or sometimes you can't access every information about that item, that's why a term "refund" invented but this is a game and that problem was about the my specialization and I still think trail effects would be so nice on these skins. Only if you did everything in your power to inquire about the item.If you were just lazy to watch a video, you can't expect any refund, not everyone is Amazon.However this is only my own opinion of course. If you ask nicely to support maybe they could refund you.As I said, I just bought them because I liked them. I still like them, not going to refund and if I'm going to watch a video every item that I'm going to buy, then I should spend my time on YouTube than the actual game. Adding trail/swing effects (even though it was my misconception about dagger skin doesn't have swing effects because of soulbeast specialization) to these skins was the idea that I wanted to share on forum. Of course Anet isn't going to do it because I said that but maybe there are people want it too.
