  1. Oh I'm not talking about the 5v5 PvP arena. It's pretty poorly designed imo and brings mainly frustration because of random teammates. I am advising to focus more on the development of PvP in general and especially 1v1 PvP. 1v1 PvP is true PvP, everything else stems from 1v1.
  2. It was just an assumption I made, because I seen a bunch of people commenting against PvP; because I don't see how anyone in their right mind would be against PvP, unless they straight up don't care because they barely play the game anyway, and are just randomly commenting for the hell of it.
  3. PvP is the one true content that never gets old because every fight is unique. Focus development on PvP and the game will prosper. The combat in this game is absolutely brilliant. 1v1 PvP is the most important, because at the end of the day every human has his own solo consciousness. And whoever is against PvP is probably a casual player who barely plays the game. However casual players aren't the ones who keep the game alive and breathing; and you casual players who are against PvP should really think deeper if you truly love this game and wish long term health for it. I truly hope ArenaNet really thinks this one through because the combat is absolutely brilliant in this game, and I'm personally done playing for now because there is no good PvP system. Best of luck and may intelligence prevail.

  8. Yeah I just realized LMFAO. I completely forgot that dancing dagger is shared with all builds that use offhand dagger. Sorry for being a jerk on the other post to you Ragnar, I thought you just came in to attack me and start arguments. I completely forgot that every build that uses off-hand dagger would get another gap closer too.
  9. Surprised you guys don't see how a gap closer is the missing piece to the puzzle. Maybe you haven't fully read my post? Can't get any more logical or simpler than a gap closer.

  11. That was hella toxic, and I figured it out already. And my suggestion is brilliant, if you took a couple minutes to read it you would think I'm a genius. Now if you're just here to start drama, this forum isn't the place for that, if you haven't learned it yet.
  12. Replacing death blossom with a gap closing skill would make sense. Not only it would buff the extremely weak Dagger/Dagger weapon combo, but it would also combo with cloak and dagger. D/D is super weak, cloak and dagger is super difficult to land without some sort of shadowstep/blink. This makes sense and doesn't sound overpowered, if you compare it to other thief builds. Now as a player who values mobility above all - I would be happiest if the new D/D gapcloser would be ground-targeted, like the shadowstep utility skill from the deception skill tree. This would mean more mobility but at the same time it would make landing cloak and dagger more challenging to land, aka more fun. We can give it a fairly high initiative cost, so people can't abuse the mobility too hard. (Don't forget to make sure that it's enough initiative to be able to cast cloak and dagger + the shadowstep)

I promise that I will provide some EXTREMELY CRUCIAL points in this post, which would GREATLY benefit US PLAYERS and YOU DEVELOPERS (assuming you are interested in bringing this wonderful game to new heights). Note: the CAPS LOCKS in this post are intended for highlighting important information, absolutely no rage or disrespect intended. I heard that you simply don't want to design a 1v1 dueling system because it would take a lot of work, which you don't feel like doing, and I completely respect that. And you don't need too! I have a super simple solution. ************************************************************************************************************************************************* First let me quickly explain why 1v1 PvP is such a crucial aspect of the game, and it brings LITERALLY UNLIMITED NEW CONTENT. (Doesn't unlimited new content sound amazing for a game developer who is interested in making money or simply a great game?) 1v1 PvP LITERALLY NEVER GETS OLD, BECAUSE EVERY SINGLE FIGHT IS UNIQUE! Every fight has completely unexpected turns and events, and you never know what to expect from the enemy, because everybody has their own unique playstyle, build and knowledge of the game. The meta constantly evolves, creating even more and more unlimited content. You see 5v5 PvP is whole different beast. It brings too much frustration and randomness. Solely depending on your own raw skill in a fair fight against a player just like yourself- that is what I call true satisfaction. You see, we come into this world alone, and we leave this world alone. 1v1 is simply the way of nature and how the world was designed. ************************************************************************************************************************************************* I have an amazing solution, that would 100% satisfy myself personally. I assume that most players asked for 1v1s would also be satisfied, since we are of a similar breed. You see, the biggest problem with the current public arena is that it is WAY TOO SMALL. It is basically impossible to 1v1 people there without being bothered, interrupted and distracted by other players. ************************************************************************************************************************************************* The solution is extremely simple and easy to implement: Simply make the public arena A LOT LOT LOT LOT LOT BIGGER. One sentence pretty much sums it up, it's that simple. This would allow for easy 1v1s, without being interrupted or bothered.   14. Honestly dueling would be so easy to implement and it would make so many people happy. You do need need to balance every class to 1v1 pvp. There are many games where some builds are completely unbeatable by other builds and almost nobody is crying.
  15. Well I'm a noob tbh, but nobody wrecks me as hard as mesmer, the burst is crazy.. I play thief and im supposed to be a counter from what I heard, but it feels the other way round..
  16. Dear mods: I only just now noticed that there is a forum for every profession, i apologize if i broke the rules by posting about this here. Please dont hurt me:/ Onto the post: Everybody knows that dagger dagger is the true weapon combo for assassin types, but its by far the weakest weapon combo for thief right now. It loses to most lots of classes, and it loses to every other thief build. I'm not asking to make it the strongest build, but can we at least have it around the same strength as other thief builds? Can we please get some hard buffs? A little bleed damage won't be enough unfortunately..
