  1. As someone who finally managed to get legendary armor after years of playing, I spend a lot of time creating unique looks for each of my characters. Since 2012, I have managed to create a character of almost every race and profession combination. Each character has a unique look, and each look changes based on the activity. Dozens, if not hundreds of hours have been spent painstakingly researching and obtaining the items needed to create these looks for each of my characters. The fact that someone can just run up to me, click inspect, and instantly copy my looks is not only infuriating, but a serious breach of my privacy. How is it fair that I spend hours making my characters look decent, and someone can just come along and copy how they look? I also DEFINITELY do not feel comfortable running around in the open world and potentially having people closely inspect my characters - it's incredibly disturbing to think about. It is similar to going out in public and having random people record you with their phones.
  2. This has been a weekly/biweekly thread for the past like 5 years. Either participate in raids, pvp, or wvw, or just give up already. Clearly, Anet does not feel that adding an OW version is necessary. If you guys so desperately want a set of legendary armor, then you would have put up the initiative to get a set by now. If you only like to participate in OW content, then that is on you and no one else. You have to take the pros and cons with your decision.
  3. I mean...DE proved that most OW players are nothing without meta builds. lmao But yeah, for the most part OW is brain-dead easy. I'm not sure why you took my comment to mean that most of OW requires meta builds. I am saying that the raiding community is full of the most passionate players in the entire game. The players that make the profession guides and encounter guides for people like you.
  4. They are played and loved by the community. Albeit a small section of the community. A small section that is very passionate and gives the rest of the PvE playerbase their meta builds.
  5. Very true. For many people, I think this must be their first video game. They do not realize how common it is for developers to put rewards behind different types of content to incentivize people to do said content.
  6. Okay, then don't get the turtle. Some people here will never be happy until you can literally buy every reward in-game from the trading post. There is a streamer who is disabled and can barely even move. He is only able to play the game with 1 hand. Compared to that, most of the excuses as to why you people cannot muster up the will to get the turtle are pathetic.
  7. Pros: - Decent story - Beautiful Maps (during the night) Cons: - The maps actually hurt my eyes during the day. The lighting seems...off? It looks like hardly any shadows were used in the process of creating these maps. Not only that, but during the day you can see just how washed out all the colors are. - 7/9 elite specs excluding Bladesworn and Spectre are very boring and uninspired. It's obvious the talent that helped create the previous elite specs are no longer with the company. These ones feel like a conglomerate of different ideas that just don't work. For example: Harbinger. Is it supposed to be an alchemist, witch-hunter, or martial artist? Pick a theme and stick with it. Even the names are terrible with this round. With Reaper, you can immediately imagine what the elite spec is. Harbinger? Not quite. This is why the HoT specs are still #1. - The maps are completely empty (part of this is a bug). It takes ages to try to complete any event solo. For example, there was an event where I had to swim underwater around a bunch of eggs and try to find which of the eggs weren't good. You then had to take the bad eggs back to a turtle. This is a simple event, yet I only had 5 minutes and every egg I brought to the turtle contributed maybe 1-3% of the progress bar. What a waste of time. Mixed: - Fishing seems pointless once you complete all the ONE-TIME collections
  8. Schrodinger's Fractal CMs: > The Fractal CM community is a negligible percentage of the community > If the CMs continue to reward Mystic Coins, it will lead to the devaluation of Mystic Coins Ridiculous.
  9. Nobody is locked out of anything. If you want the PvE armor, then join the NA raid training discord. It is a friendly, safe environment to learn all the encounters. You can send out a ping literally any time of the day asking which wing you are interested in then ask for an instructor then you are on your way. Other options are WvW or PvP. WvW takes the longest but is by far the easiest since you can just flip camps and barely do anything. You'll be amazed at what doors will open if you take the initiative and get out of your comfort zone.
  10. No matter the stat type, this class goes down so easily. It makes it very difficult, if not impossible to solo certain events in expansion maps. Even certain story instances can be rough. I've gotten map completion on every released map up to SandSwept Isles and it's really starting to wear on me how fragile I am.
  11. This practice is honestly making me consider quitting gaming as a whole. They are literally having their customers gamble without gambling laws applying to their systems. I can't believe I've spent hundreds of dollars on this digital garbage...
  12. Everything is unrewarding with this expansion. We need a complete overhaul with the reward system.
  13. Waste of development time. This is a learn to play issue. The fight is simple. Attack him until you see the circle telegraph under you, and run away from him ASAP so he can't use his health drain. Rinse and repeat. Killed him in less than 2 minutes on my Tempest.
