I'm newish and have a lot of questions. This is for open world mostly. I plan and using it to gather hero points, do world boss events, do the story, gather some better gear in verdent brink, etc. I have to do this on the cheap, so I was thinking condi firebrand with dire and maybe rabid gear? I like firebrand because it's used most everywhere and I could get some experience with the profession. I won't have any expertise so i'm hoping balthazar runes and the weapon sigils that give longer burning will help? What weapons should I use? What utilities?

Follow up question. I see that runes have six features you unlock by affixing six runes. Say 6 Superior Runes of the Nightmare. What do you do with the slots on jewelry and accessories? Or should you affix more than six of Superior Rune of the Nightmare?

So I'm collecting exotic gear and I have two sets. One set is vipers for my condi renegade and will be used for fractals and raids. The other set is berserkers for WvW, renegade roaming and herald hammer I'm having trouble finding runes recommended on metabattle on the trading post. Could you recommend runes for my vipers and runes for my berserkers? Something found on the trading post and hopefully cheap? thx

I picked the guard to do zergs eventually. I'm not even sure if I can join a zerg with exotic armor. I'm not sure how far I can get in fractals with exotic armor, or raids for that matter. But the goal is to get ascended armor from one of these play modes. If I got marauder gear would my dps take a huge hit compared to a berserker set?

So I have a new 80 guardian. I plan on doing wvw as power dragon slayer build and on metabattle they say to use marauders. I also want to do open world and marauders would be good for that. But I want to to do raid and fractrals. It says I'll need berserkers for that. Again the power dragon slayer guardian build. I'm gathering exotic armor from the verdant banks vendor. the one where you gather airplane parts. I think it's called "blade" armor. Then I'm hoping season 3 of living world comes out so I can get some ascended trinkets. My question is: what to go for first? Would it be better to get berserkers and do raids and fractals to get ascended gear? Or get marauders and get ascended gear through wvw?

But is this all the traits that affect bombs? What about the Chemical Rounds trait that increases conditional damage. Wouldn't it help with your fire bomb?
