It's so bad I don't want to mention the model name. No one suggested AMD processors for gaming PCs before the Ryzen brand arrived in 2017, and I built this PC a couple of years before that. The sockets are different now. The frame rate plummets in cities, I'm intrigued by WvW but a slideshow isn't exactly my definition of fun.

Thanks for the detailed responses. The 11400f and 11600k are $190~$225 and $325 in my country if they're not out of stock, so I don't think the (relatively) tiny bump in performance is worth the extra $100+ in my budget for a new computer.

This isn't "flexing". I'm genuinely curious is that one is good enough for WvW. I'm not familiar with everything related to single and multi-core processing, it always confuses me. Edit: A friend suggested i7 or greater to play this game, so that's why I made this thread.

Long story short, I love this game and my rig is due for an update. I have a pre-Ryzen AMD CPU and the game's performance leaves much to be desired (even with the Dx9x12 proxy or the Dx11 beta enabled). Two questions: Should I wait for the Alder Lake i5-12600K, and does this game perform better on Windows 11?
