  1. That would kill condi specs. You won't be able to do any kind of damage when your conditions only counter boons and vice versa. This will just be a neverending loop of application and re-application.
  2. Talking about "unfair treatment of different professions" is funny from a guardian point of view. Guardian works in all game modes, and even in zerg with 2 elite specs. What about Ranger, Elementalist, Thief? I understand your point, but first of all Retaliation was way too strong and second a passive applied spell bound to heals and other things. This is terrible game design and it's good that it's gone. Next step should be to change the meta in FB having to do more than now. May be using your damage tome and not switching between the other two.
  3. Based on all his posts here in the wvw forum his only content is GvG and everyone else is a pleb that just cause him to have queues. That's exactly the behaviour of so many of those self-proclaimed pro guilds that can't even be bothered to attack a sieged up tier 3 tower but complain for days when the "pugs lost smc/garrison" and now they have to run from spawn to windmill to get back to the fights. I'm ok with people who want a different game mode, but WvW isn't for GvG only but a complex mix as someone tried to explain to him before already. The best times of WvW was, in my opinion, the three-way fights around and inside an enemy garrison, sieged up to the roof, walls looking like swiss cheese and everyone fighting each other for hours - not that 50v50 on a flat area running into each other for hours.
  4. Playing the format is: Getting camps, upgrade them, getting supplies, sieging towers and keeps, taking those and defending it until they are T3. And yes, dear Deso, RS does exactly what you did. They spawncamp you, as you did with your WSR buddies for all the weeks in tier 1.
  5. In that case you have it as a file on your pc. e: btw your "but if they close" is as good as an argument as "when your house burns down your CD are lost". Music that is already digital will never cease to exist as long as our civilisation exists.
  6. The big issue I have with this isn't giving a legendary for "free". My big issue is that we get, compared to the rest of the game, utterly kitten rewards in WvW. We are at the bottom of the game in gold per hour, wvw legendaries take forever to make and for the normal legendaries we have to do additional pve. It takes five times the effort for a single piece it takes pve'rs and now you basically give them a legendary for "login in" and doing achievements that take not even 10 minutes of your time? Sorry, I can't and won't understand how this is justified after you ignored all the ideas to make WvW a bit more rewarding. It's like you are one of three children and have to beg for shoes so you don't have to walk barefoot anymore, while you give the other two children a new car, daily cake and fulfill their desires on a daily basis.
  7. The problem is that: Standing on a wall should be the advantage position. In GW2 it isn't. That's a real kitten design for a game that is about sieging and fighting for structures. And pulls are a problem, because they often ignore walls
  8. The carrying is done by the ppt'ers and always was. A fight guild that refuses to fight for a sieged up hills or flipping it is a bad thing for every server. So is fighting in closed squads for "prestige" somewhere on the map. That's why the WSR guilds transfer every re-link. They can't carry a server. They rely heavily on their link that keeps stuff upgraded, flip camps, save yaks, siege up structure so the ppk zerg can go where they want. And of course it's true. I was linked to WSR more than once and most commanders run their closed squads and fight other closed squads on the southern alpine sentry. And when this is your content, you end up in tier 5 if you don't have a link that does all the "dirty work". And yes, YOU as a player are the #1 part of the problem. Everyone with enough experience told you WSR guys that's a stupid decision to recruit all the "veteran" fight players. And of course people transfer where more content is, but why don't you just stay on your server? Right, you need the bandwagon to survive. Without that bandwagon you create your server is dead, because you can run a 50 man blob and fight a 50 man blob, but you can't play the game, you can't siege up a castle, you can't siege a castle or refuse to do it. Everyone that transfers is a huge part of the problem because it creates inequalities in numbers and strength. The re-link is to create a balance. What you do is killing that balance directly after the link Underworld to FoW: 68 Players Dzagonur to WSR: 136 Players RoS to WSR: 27 RoS to BT: 92 RoS to Vabbi: 47 All after the relink. It's you that created the abomination Deso/WSR link. It's other transfers that created the failed AG/RoS link. If FoW hadn't become a small bandwagon itself it would be another dead link, because Dzago lost 2/3 of it's population. So, tell me again what is it that you "do for the game" besides making it terrible and not logging in when there is no blob fights? I haven't seen any of those WSR guys streaming WvW in days or for longer than an hour. Why when there is enough content in the game and the server relies so heavily on your carry.
  9. Ok, let's think this through for a moment. What will happen? Exactly the same that happened on NA some years ago. "GvG" players start a server, more GvG players join the server, because it's easier to join than to stick to what they have and improve, until there is no one left to fight and they start complaining about "they only cloud", "they sit in siege", "nobody wants to fight us". The whole thing gets boring, the guilds leave, the server dies. Same goes on EU for some years now. Vabbi > WSR. No, don't make the game for a small percentage of people that just play for steamrolling over people and quit when they don't. These are always the first people to leave, because they always destroy their own precious content. Instead of splitting or "not accepting" new veteran players in their ranks, they merge into a huge blob absorbing everyone, causing bandwagons and are a huge part of the sad state of EU wvw and suddenly there is no one to fight and they play something else.
