I've submitted a ticket, but fancied some input, wondering if it's happened to anyone else here.
This morning I went to buy 4,000 gems for £42.50 and went to pay via PayPal. I got an error message on the GW2 end of things saying "there was a problem". No payment had been taken, there was no email confirmation, the gems were not in my account and it simply hadn't gone through. So I did the purchase again using my debit card and that worked no problem.
HOWEVER - hours and hours later... the PayPal purchase suddenly goes through. So now ANOTHER £42.50 is gone, another 4,000 gems are on my account and I don't want them, I want my money back.
As I say I've submitted a ticket, but I am fuming about this, because it's a lot of money to lose on a stupid website error like this. Has anyone ever had this, and if so did you have any luck getting your money back? I haven't touched the excess gems and won't even login to the game until it's sorted just to prevent anything from happening. Guh, I'm so mad.
