  1. I'm missing my Pack runes too. My Traveler set got straight nerfed. And (should I be embarrassed about this?) some of my off-meta builds are really struggling without the Vampirism heals. Quite a few of my characters are going to be waiting for better relics cause playing them right now is not feeling great.
  2. I wonder if this was a design choice, or if they just kind of forgot how many options for completing the daily there were before. Rewards not auto-accepting is also a pain.
  3. I'm a wvw potato and in my only solo fight on Virtuoso I forgot I had an F5 and lost turns out I was actually way ahead of the game
  4. Well at least I know that it's not just me. Also interesting that blast works but leap doesn't. I only Thief in PvE so it's really only a minor annoyance, sounds like a nightmare in WvW though.

I had thought that finishers were supposed to preferentially trigger effects off your own combo fields, but whenever I try to Black Powder + leap into stealth during a meta event or world boss or something, I almost always end up with a fire or light aura instead. Is this user error, or is the priority not working?
  6. It's obvious that many thief players feel the Acrobatics trait line is in dire need of some attention. As of the most recent patch it seems to be on the balance team's radar as well, and we've seen tweaks to a couple of overtuned autocast traits. I expect more good news is on the way; changes which will, I hope, help evolve Acrobatics from its current niche of "like Daredevil, sorta", into a distinctive, coherent, and compelling specialization that will redefine how we look at Thief. With that in mind, here are some of the changes I think we'll see in the coming months or years: Swindler's Equilibrium: Replaced with "Sword skills recharge faster." Steal recharge when evading is moved to adept minor in Trickery. Endless Stamina: Concentration bonus removed. Replaced with "Gain 2 seconds of Swiftness when you gain Vigor." Hard to Catch: Endurance gain reduced to 4. What are your predictions?

  8. ah yeah a round 10 endurance would have been overpowered, clearly at least they remembered Acrobatics exists…
  9. Still happening. A friend and I both picked "Let an innocent die", and when we completed Forging the Pact as a party, the next mission was The Battle for Fort Trinity. The three missions between were lost to the Mists. I've completed the "Dishonor my allies" and "Make another suffer" storylines before without any major issues.

    Nerfs already

    I don't disagree, but at the same time I've landed on groups of mobs with my staff 5 for a total of about 50k damage, which is more in healing off an offensive skill than my actual heal provides. I know that's an edge case in open world, but it still seems questionable. Maybe that's the problem with heals based on a flat % of outgoing damage. 6% feels like a joke to me as a mostly solo player with an off-meta build, but in a raid group with all boons it's probably still an enormous amount of healing. It would have been nice if they'd found a more creative way of addressing that imbalance than this.
  11. I guess I'll chime in on this. Over the past year I've lost quite a lot of function in one of my hands due to a neuromuscular disorder. I haven't been mouse-only for a while, thankfully, but in longer fights and particularly long metas I start having to choose between moving my character and using my skills, because my shaky, rigid claw can't do both. So yes, I certainly appreciated Invigorating Precision for helping to take the pressure off, and I do think the nerfs were excessive and largely unwarranted. But after making a few adjustments to my build (which I should have made ages ago anyway), I suspect my worst case scenario for solo play might be... simply having to put Shadow Refuge onto my skill bar instead of Fist Flurry. So, for me, the sky's not actually falling, it's just kinda rainy.

    Nerfs already

    Realistically 20% was too high, but nerfing it down to 6% seems comical for a trait that wasn't part of any meta build to begin with. I guess I'll console myself that at least this hits staff a lot harder than s/p. In theory, anyway.
  13. I wish they had slapped an interval on confusion in pve rather than water it down its unique effect with another generic dot. Not really a benchmarks person though, I just miss Backfire.

I'm guessing that what actually happened is that the writing staff recently agreed to always use the Merriam-Webster spelling everywhere (except proper nouns, presumably) to make sure that spellings would be consistent between writers. They probably didn't debate offline vs off-line specifically. At least, I hope they didn't.
  15. Putting a hyphen in something is a matter of orthography, not grammar. If they're going to be pedantic, they can at least be correctly pedantic.
