  2. Just 2 years? It's been my main since the I began 6 months after release... It's been mostly down hill and I've taken the last 1.5+ years off of doing anything other than logging in for dailies and occasional world boss runs because Im just tired of my favorite class getting the raw end of the stick. well, prev 2y i enjoyed)

  6. What is the trade off for Deadeye? What is the trade off for FB? What is the trade off for the supertank regen and barrier weaver? What is the trade off for the renegade condi build, with 2 weapons, 2 heals, 2 sets of slot skills... that pumps out more condi damage in pvp modes? Hmmm? And we have a ton of trade offs already. Most of everything on Ranger stinks and our forced mechanic has had the same issues since alpha... You need me to find the interview with the devs about pet issues from 10 years ago? Want me to list all the junk stuff and skills and traits and builds for pvp modes? Deadeye: Replacing the core F1 ability (Steal) with the Deadeye's Mark, losing access to a gap closer this way as well as it's unique stolen skills. Firebrand: Replacing all their instant cast core virtues (F1-F3) with the tomes. Weaver: Replacing all of their mainhand #3 weapon skills and losing immediate access to their offhand attunements (need to cycle through 2 attunements to get access to the offhand weapon skills instead of just 1). Renegade: Losing access to the core F2 ability (Ancient Echo) and replacing it with Citadel Order skills.rifleman - gap closer)fb -15 skills instead 3renegade - 3 skills instead 1
  7. Also a strong chance they nerf both pets and MM and not just one or the other, tbh. This was exactly my thinking when I made the post about SB adjustments, https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/discussion/101069/last-balance-chances-good-reasoning-bad-implementation#latest, I knew that the followup will be core ranger. If MM or pets will get nerfed now, it will be a double deep nerf for SB in terms of potential damage. Nerfing pets directly is not a good solution in general as pets don't scale so well in WvW as it is. The main issue with core ranger is not the damage and not MM, it is how beefy the class is for what should have been a "glass cannon", setup. The reason is ofc WS and the ranger's stun breaks utilities. Core ranger can take advantage of the crazy value synergy between WS/BM/MM. WS utilities proc fury that proc remorseless and BM will give you the WK benefits on pet swap. Also, WS is the only trait-line to offer two stun breaks tied to a very strong utility effects and trait synergy . Protect me is also an issue, Why give the barrier to already a loaded skill? Why make the barrier so high without any regard to healing power? The combination of GS block+the new protect me+2 WS stun breaks, make the core ranger way too tanky in this low damage meta which relied on CC+immob to lock targets down. Core ranger has the perfect counter kit for it. The free access to fury by a defensive line is also an issue. Possible solutions:Protect me - if the barrier stays , lower the base barrier by 50%, make it scale with healing power.QZ - Remove the stun break from the skill - Making this utility 40 sec, just made this skill better and a defensive tool(which was supposed to be a nerf in the first place)WK-remove the fury from the trait. - It funny that brutish seals do only that(give fury), WK give it on top of ranger's best condi removal trait.Child of earth - Increase CD to 35(as it was 30 sec when TU was 25 sec, before patch) If still over preformingIncrease CB to 20 secIncrease ZS to 20 sec.(making it more likely to proc any other swap) I think the above will solve most issue without taking away potential damage from high risk high reward builds.This is only the nerf side, there are tons of things that should be buffed/adjusted. I also think they should re-do the last SB changes and implement ,my suggested adjustments in the link above. why ranger topic always want to nerf its own profession:D

  13. You know, Soulbeasts kept saying that their trade off was not having their pet out all the time and look at what happened :wink: I try to play everything, mostly to know what I'm talking about. Reaper Shroud absolutely does not feel like a trade off and a straight upgrade. Ditto with DH virtues and Tomes. What would be a true trade off? Given Anet's solutions the options typically include stat reductions, increased CD's, or adding something to the Core class. Would a 4th virtue be cool? Sure! Make it strong, something like an AoE power based attack on active, but on passive grants 1 stack of might (5s) every fifth attack for 10 targets, 2 stacks if traited. But seriously, what would be a better trade off for FB would for Tomes to share the weapon swap CD, but once you use all your pages you go back to your last equipped weapon. DH might get a stat hit instead frankly. Soulbeasts can have their pets out the entire time if they chose to, tho. This is not really a trade off. Before the removal of pet swap, Soulbeast was simply an add on on top. You can have your pet out all the time just like the ranger, but you get the CHOICE to fuse with your pet additionally, if you desire to. @draxynnic.3719 said:Soulbeast could, until this week, always choose to play identically to a core ranger.   14. Wish sword would be totally redesigned.Lets be honest: it have no use in pve because dagger/axe and gs outplay it in pvp.
