  1. You need to add 60-70% of flat ground and random no valid path spots to the list. Increasing tendency. No bug fix even planned. Anet probably even like it that way because it hurts mesmer an thief the most.
  2. So you at least notice the power creep but your solution is to add more power creep 👍😂
  3. I was comparing to dmg numbers during core (ofc elites added up too but you still can see dmg increase on core builds even after the feb patch compared to core days). And from a warrior pov i can tell you that everyone cried about hammer being useless right after feb patch and look where it is now. The dmg is insane you can do with it. Just in a different way. Also warrior got shadowbuffed dmg more than once, i recognised that several times in the last years after feb patch. And the feb patch also could not undo what the previous and follow up powercreep did with the dmg. Alone how many traits became baseline in preparation of hot with the traitline rework. So even if a core dmg trait got nerfed from 10 to 3%, the class can now take one trait more than pre hot, so a build will still have 3% more dmg instead 10% more from pre feb patch). As mentioned i don't rly have the data, i am too busy and tbh also too laze to do the research, so i could be wrong but i would bet my both hands that the dmg is still insanely power creeped compared to what it was like 1-2 years after game release. The feb patch just nerfed dmg more than the sustain (and buffed and shadow buffed it back later again in parts) so the game feels less bursty atm. I am not saying they should nerf the dmg as hard as the sustain but the dmg also needs to go down in the process.
  4. In absolute numbers? I doubt. Do you have sources somehow? Since the crazy amount of sustain needs higher dmg, otherwise nothing would die currently. Most op builds i remember right now: - Ele (starting with core dd cele) -Ele -Ele In the end every class had some builds standing out of an overall since years braindead game.
  5. I wanted to say the opposite. Everything is so power creeped and broken. Game needs a full reset in terms of mobility, dmg and sustain. Even weak stuff in comparision is still spammy, often quite facetanky (compared to a balanced amount of sustain) and overall faceroll to play.
  6. Yes agree, as said ele was since game release the most braindead spam and facetank class, even the more squishy builds like lr or fa are not hard to play and have very unhealthy mechanics. There is no other class i feel so bored during playing since it is so easy and spammy. It is the biggest myth that ele ever was hard to play. Ele just has some more buttons you need to learn at start but in the end you just have more buttons to waste in your sleepy rotations with barely any punishment.
  7. I would agree to that part if not everyone and his mother (in particular Ele) would be able to perma spam boons with an ridic amount. Ofc something removing stabi with prio is better than random boon remove you cannot reliable work with. But as long as classes can rando spam boons by simple skill rotation you don't delete boon corrupt from the game where even massive boon remove speced builds can't handle the boon spam. It is just as braindead to spam boons as spamming boon corrupt or remove. So reduce boon uptime to an amount where player need to time them for specific moments (not perma 25 stacks might/ quickness but short might/ quickness applycation before you wanna burst, not perma swiftness/ superspeed but short applications for one escape move every 20- 30 secs instead perma high-speed map rotation on steroids for example). Ele is far away from that. Then you can develop a balanced amount of boon remove that is not random but priorise specific boons so ppl can counterplay timed boon application. Voila both sides of the medal are less spammy now.
  8. Necro is on the against bias list just lately, duo to stuff i just mentioned. I guess Roy and CmC having a blast with removing most of boon corrupt. It helps Ele, so CmC is happy and Roy wanted it for WvW. Rofl for thinking Ele is hard to play. Bit of skill floor due to some more buttons but the moment you got the rotations its just the most braindead spam and facetank class in the game. For the other classes: Yes they all have some braindead builds. CmC balances for noobs, they announced they want average player to be able to compete and that high skill ceiling builds will be obsolete at some point. Don't blame the classes, blame the balance.
  9. I also like how they insta fix mesmer bugs which are good for mesmer and leave every bug that is a pain for the class. As if bias towards ele/ warrior is all to see here. You can also see bias against classes. Mesmer has spot 1 here. Imagine deleting the block from virtuoso f5 instead reducing the braindead aegis spam. And don't come with "no ressouces for good balance, we only can do low effort nonsense" when they can take the time to rework core ele weapons including massive qol improvements and buffs. While Mantra of Distraction still has a los hit-angle around 1 degree. And with Roy we get narrowed biased WvW focused nonsense changes in addition to the PvE focused balance. Stop making ex player devs and get some professionals with clue about balance and the game/classes and an objective mindset.
  10. I play all classes with focus on mesmer, necro, ranger and warrior. I should hate thief the most but from a less subjective PoV ele is the most degen in terms of current power lvl but also general mechanics. The game would be way more fun, more skilled and instantly better balanced without ele in it. I would kinda miss every other class in the game but not ele at all. Most annoying that ele for some weird reasons counts as hard to play because it has more buttons to use. Yes it adds a bit of skill floor (harder to get into as long as you try to learn the skills) but it is overall the most braindead spam and facetank class in the game. Boringly easy to play and annoying to play against. There is not a single build challenging to play imo, not even the squishier ones like fresh air. Too many broken carry mechanics on it.
  11. Your response doesn't hit my points. I am not comparing different metas, this also wasn't the point i particularly disagreed with you. You cannot get old metas back, the game changed too much in every decade. Not only because of elites added, also because of a lot of fundamental reworks (traitsystemrework pre hot, lot of traits became baseline, you can equip 3 major gm traits now. Also condis were changed for pve reasons etc. etc.). I am not one of those blaming the addition of elites for everything, i even think some added interesting new mechanics and additional skill ceiling and i don't want to delete them from the game. So it doesn't rly make sense to compare metas since they are very different and meta in gw2 always was not only the strongest but also always the most braindead to abuse at its time (also there were times where the build disadvantage from skilled off meta stuff to the meta abuse builds were not as high as in all the last years). I am talking about what skill intensity i think would be good for the game, or more what skill intensity i would personally prefer to have. And if you need to know so badly a meta that came the closest to my preferences, than indeed i have to go back to core. Where builds had dedicated roles and were not good at everything and everywhere on the map, where mobility wasn't insanely power creeped that rotation mistakes matter less and less etc. Just everything i mentioned in my previous post. And even tho there were more braindead metas in the past compared to today (because more bunkerish) the skill intensity in the game overall (not only in the meta builds) is clearly decreasing. And the reasons the current meta is less bunkerish and with a bit more ceiling than during bunker wars times are also not better balances but equally power creeped dmg and mobility, means even more power creep. And countering power creep with power creep is only fake good balance in my opinion.
  12. For competitive player in the sense that they wanna just win (tournaments), it is enough when there are more than 3 classes playable at high lvl, when there is some skill ceiling left, so they can distinguish themselves from worse players and that stuff dies in the end. Yes it could be even worse than now but overall the game got dumbed down and more and more braindead over the last years. EOD is just the last example for that. Rotation mistakes have way less impact these days with the power creeped mobility, they deleted skillful core mechanics like shorter leaps. Most builds are too useful everywhere on the map and too good in too many things (roaming, duelling, tf). All this bruiser crap with way too much defense and way too much dmg... Current builds like proc reaper, condi berserker, well spam chrono, untamed, nade spam engi, cata/ weaver etc are far away from being hard to play, no matter if meta or not, even most off meta stuff is pretty braindead these days. Sure we have no bunker meta atm but only because dmg is just as broken power creeped as sustain and mobility. Most good player in particular the ones that are hard comeptitive, are just happy with very little when it comes to skill intensity, what is sad, they should ask for more since they are able to play a more skilled game unlike all the forum heroes crying in hope their own class get buffed even more in a game state that actually would need a full reset in currencies to stop the inflation to have a chance of getting a remarkable amount of skill intensity back into the game again.
  13. Just buff ele so thief doesn't steal the 5th slot from it. Problem solved.
