  1. Thousands of us have been wanting this for years. It probably won't happen but one never really knows. Also there is essentially no reason to 'argue' with these pve carebears that frequent the forums. There exists not a more selfish player than one that actively attempts to bar others from their preferred style of play. The good old "how is that different than WvWvW" is a clear sign of either a brainlet sporting a room temp IQ or a bad faith actor. A custom GW2 wpvp server with bracketed larger scale battlegrounds that one could level in as well would bring a ton of pvpers bored of other mmos; the best part being it would be void of these pve carebears while still most likely garnering their tears of rage induced seething disapproval.
  2. Hot take - port warhammer age of reck into gw2 engine - profit 😛
  3. As someone who agrees with this and would also add Wildstar in there, all I can say is GIVE US A REAL WPVP realm, with better class design (imo). Honestly if you just ported Warhammer Age of Reck into GW2 I'd be playing the wpvp and scenarios every day all day haha... As it sits I absolutely hate the sPVP and the class design just feels weird and 'airy', like none of the abilities have any weight. Everything almost feels the same with people just running around with infinite mobility. I too log in and play scenarios on Warhammer even though the game is woefully outdated haha.... Could you imagine a true wpvp gw2 server that had realm vs realm style sections of the map that you could gain experience via pvp while also queing for tiered battlegrounds? Man I'd be in heaven. Wildstar was the last of the wpvp greats; what a truly amazing experience for the first few months imo. The world was ALIVE, constant wpvp, fun zones, great battlegrounds to lvl in when you wanted to take a break. Anyways, I've been waiting for years in the hopes GW2 does something like this but I stopped holding my breathe; don't think it will ever happen.
  4. Exxxxxactly. Also let's face it, a world pvp server would help new players who like pvp quite a bit. Especially if they added a way to queue for bracketed low lvl battlegrounds while one leveled. This allows a very natural and fun way to learn classes as you go. I think back to wildstar pvp servers and man, that was some of the most fun I've had leveling in an mmo in years! I know this will never happen but I honestly can't help but feel like it's egregiously wasted potential for those who love the wpvp server ruleset in games.
  5. I know it 'goes against' the general design but I stated this back in 2012 and still feel the same way today, this game would be so darn epic if it had at least 1 pvp server ruleset. Whether that be something insane like FFA or factions somehow. I know it would require some tweaking to world design but I have a strong feeling quite a few players who love the core principles of pvp in this game but don't feel like PVEing and gearing for wvw or the - in my opinion - mostly awful sPVP metafest. I guess I just really miss my wildstar lvling experience on the pvp servers at launch. I know it will never happen but after reinstalling the other day after not playing since 2012 and having some fun for a little bit but ultimately losing interest, felt like a dream post was warranted =P.
