  1. It worked fine until the update from a couple of days ago. That update is was caused the bug/glitch. Right, it can be completed "blind," but this is a big miss by Anet.......
  2. YES! I just tried it 3 times and it happened every time once Peitha arrives - the skills bar disappears and it is impossible to get him below 75% health. I reported the bug. Anyone else who has this issue, please report it too. I tried both watching and skipping the cutscene but the result was the same - skills bar disappears and can't continue the fight below 75%. By the way, I did not have this issue any time I did the episode before today's update.
  3. The character is not parked there - it is usually in Divinity's Reach, and I use it to farm my home instance every day and usually some other farming runs and/or events. Having said that, I have settled into a routine of traveling to Iron Marches every day at the same time to do LLA, but that doesn't seem like enough to trigger diminishing returns. Anyway, thank you for the reply. Interesting. I'll keep an eye on that. Anyone else have this issue?
  4. Five times over the last two weeks, I have completed the Ley-Line Anomaly event, I usually get gold level participation, but I have not received the reward chest with the Mystic Coin. I do this event only once a day, so that is not the issue. I submitted a ticket, but their only response was to submit an in-game bug report, which I have done. Has this happened to anyone else? More reports of this problem may help them resolve it. Thank you.
  5. I also have this same problem. Fished it over 50 times across 3 characters and always only junk. Just reported as a bug.
  6. It looks like that is it. Yes, I have that trait in my build. Mystery solved. Many thanks.
  7. I haven't played engineer in a long time, but when I recently picked it up again, I noticed that "Deactivate Photon Forge" no longer decreases the heat level. The heat level stops increasing, but it stays at that same level. The only way to get the heat level to reduce is to re-activate Photon Forge and let it overheat - then it decreases. Did I miss an update somewhere along the line? Is this how it is supposed to work these days? It seems like a bug to me. Does this happen to anyone else?
  8. I have also had this same issue many times - random disconnects at the very end of certain story instances, after all the fighting is done and only dialogue or cutscenes are left. I don't disconnect in any other circumstances, only those. Frozen Out, Hearts and Minds, etc. The usual suspects that are mentioned above. Most recently, I have disconnected 8 times in the last 24 hours while playing Heart of the Volcano (LWS3). I finish all the fighting, then the dialogue with Taimi, then the cutscene, and when the cutscene ends and nothing more is left other than more lengthy dialogue with Taimi, I get disconnected. 8 times. When I reconnect, I get no credit for having completed the instance and have to restart and play through it all again. The problem is widespread enough that Anet surely knows about it. If they can't fix it, at the very least they can give credit for completing the story instance once all the fighting is done. Listening to painfully long dialogue that most of us have already heard many times should not be a reason to make us replay the entire episode yet again. Anet please fix.
  9. That's very helpful. And it explains what went wrong this time, as I was switching between melee and range. Many thanks.
  10. That sounds like that's it. Trying to get distance from him seems to make it worse - crossing the outer line must be what causes the pull and knockdown. Thanks for pointing that out - I had never noticed that skill before.
  11. I realize that playing through the HOT storyline is probably not very popular/common these days, especially the final episode Hearts and Minds, the fight against Mordremoth. In years past, I have completed it solo around five times, with various classes from warrior to elementalist, so I know it can be done solo. This question is just for the sake of curiosity, because I've never seen it addressed anywhere. Just for fun, I tried playing the episode today with my mesmer, with a power Chrono build, which easily completes any other content in GW2 solo. I failed in the same place I expected I would. I've seen plenty of other discussions of Hearts and Minds, that it's hard, etc., etc. In my opinion, the hardest part of the episode is something that I have never seen mentioned anywhere, whether in discussion forums or on the GW2 wiki or anywhere else. In particular, the hardest part, to me, and where I failed today, happens immediately after the first time you have to take to the air and glide around. When you land back on the platform that time, Mordremoth uses a skill that he doesn't use before, and that I don't think he uses afterwards in the instance - it's a skill where he pulls you from just about anywhere on the platform and then knocks you down, when he then DPS's you a lot. Assuming you can get up and try to heal, before long, he pulls you again and repeats the knockdown and DPS, then repeats it again, etc. until you are dead. Sometimes the NPCs can rez you, and sometimes they can't, resulting in the "retry" area, where Mordremoth starts with full health. If I remember correctly when I completed it solo in the past, if you can somehow DPS Mordremoth at that time, despite the pulls/knockdowns, he eventually will stop using that skill, and you can proceed with the fight, and it goes fairly smoothly through the end. But I've found surviving that section to be hit-or-miss. That pull/knockdown skill isn't mentioned on the wiki or anywhere else that I have seen. Like I said, I've completed it around five times solo, but that part always seems to be the crux. After that section, if you survive it, the instance goes fairly smoothly (except for the not-uncommon disconnect during the final dialogue with Trahearne...grrrrr..). How do you all deal with that part with the pull and knockdown? Is there something I am missing, that makes surviving it more likely? Thanks for any thoughts.
  12. I have the same problem, in this story instance as well as others - disconnect after the fighting is finished and just dialogue remains. Very frustrating. This happens often throughout GW2. Please fix.
  13. As usual with many GW2 story instances, The Mystery Cave regularly disconnects at the very end, when all the fighting is done and all that is left is dialogue. Would you please look into that recurring issue - which is clearly on your side - and fix it? Thank you.
