  1. Make the mobs in those maps level 90, and give them a ton of boons. If they drop decent rewards, be it gold, or mats then it may incentivise competition. Honestly I would be hyped for this. They could even make it an optional map instace you queue for, then uit wouldn't be hurting anyone who wants to do the normal map.
  2. I am at 0. I haven't played any of the lw1 re release, and have no interest in it. I am just waiting for new content in the present timeline.
  3. For me personally the only time I afk is if my team is at like 480 points and we are clearly going to win. I will sometimes just afk on home node that we own and watch for anyone coming to decap. I never afk if we are losing, even when it seems hopeless.
  4. As far as relative balance goes, I don't yet know, I would have to play the patch. I feel like the changes are fun, and am looking forward to playing them. I am most ecited for the soulbeast pet swap. It was always a hard choice for me in pvp on pets.
  5. For me I feel like EOD was too political. I think I actually agree with the devs politics, but I don't want or need the products I consume to confirm or refute my political opinions. For me it is the various opportunities the devs too to insert real world political opinions into the story that I will remember EOD for. The rest of the expansions I think was the weakest of the three expansions, but hits the minimum requirements of a story, 4 maps and new especs.
  6. First MMORPG I played was Shattered Galaxy, but I didn't play it for long. After that I played Anarchy Online until GW2 launched.
  7. For me personally I don't even want perfect balance, I want the meta to be shaken up more often. I like trying to find new builds, and the novelty of fighting new builds.
  8. I haven't played Tempest since not long after EOD launched and I realised that Harbinger shroud ignored magnetic aura. Is that fixed now?
  9. I used to play spvp a ton, I have around 3k matches played. I don't really play it any more, I think I haven't even finished placements this season. For me it is balance and more frequent balance patches that is important, and the reason why I stopped playing. Balance patches barely change anything and happen only 4 times a year. If something needs nerfing of buffing it can be in a bad state for way too long. For me also it isn't just about balance, but changing the meta. Shaking things up with different balance is content for pvp, when new builds emerge. To be completely honest I don't even want the classes to be perfectly balanced. I want things to be shaken up every now and again. Like maybe have core ele, and spellbreaker being op for a season, and necro and herald not being as good?
  10. Honestly I think you may be playingthis game right, and may actually be having more fun than most of the people that take it to seriously.
  11. Catalyst with hammer has a lot going on. There is keeping up the spinny orbs, energy for the sphere, comboing the field from the sphere, keeping track of stacks of empowering auras, trying to get max stacks of elemental empowerment. Coming from playing through the story on Tempest it feels like a lot of work to play.
  12. I just finished the story, and haven't done much else. The story started off really strong. I really enjoyed the first few chapters. It trailed off for me towards the end, and at some point in Echovald I just wanted to get it over with. It is alright, but not amazing. There are more than a few instances of the devs inserting their politics in there which made me roll my eyes, but nothing to get upset about. The maps look really good, and I have a lot more exploring to do. Kaineng feels a bit copy and paste, and empty, I rushed through the last 2 so didn't get a proper look. Music was great. Elites seem to be in the same state as the last beta which isn't good. I played through the story on cele Tempest. I tried Catalyst for maybe 3 hours but switched back to Tempest. Maybe I will play with it more, but playing it feels like work. Elite specs were the main thing for me, and at the moment I don't really want to play them in their current iteration. Mobs seem to have a lot more hp than other expansions. I don't mind this, but thought it worth a mention. After trying skiffs, fishing, and the jade bots I can't say I am motivated to interact with them again. After just finishing the story I would say it is alright, but I feel a little dissapointed. If balance patches improve the elite specs then for me personally all is forgiven.
  13. Been my experience too and it is kind of odd. When I first entered the first map I thought maybe I was still in a story instance, or it was somehow bugged and I was in the map alone. Mayb they were worried about performance and limited the amount of people per map?
  14. I am alright with the changes. Could have been more drastic with nerfs to necro, and buffs to Tempest, but I will take it.
  15. Don't be upset. At least you are giving it a go to come up with builds, nothing wrong with that. I think maybe people are emoting like that because the new elites are so undertuned compared to the previous elites. The catalyst duelist build for example, why would you play that when fire weaver exists? The harbinger build may as well be called grief your team for not playing core or reaper. Based on my own testing I am not sure if any builds from the new specs are going to be any good without buffs we havent seen yet. I didn't think untamed was half as bad as some people thought, but then again soulbeast and core exist. Vindicator hit me for 13k with one of its skills, but then herald and renegade also exist. Build craft is hard for the new specs when the older specs power levels are higher.
  16. I don't want to play in a pre made team in ranked. I like the flexibility and convenience of solo queue. I don't want to form a static team, search for team mates, or have anyone have a preference for what build I will play. I don't want to face pre mades when I am solo queue.
  17. Personally I don't want more game modes, especially not with more than 5 per team. I don't want more modes that takes population or resources from conquest.
  18. Is this tier list with the new elites only? Or taking into account POF, and HOT specs? If it with the new specs in isolation then broadly I can see what you are saying. Personally I would have put vindicator and untamed a bit higher, and catalyst lower, but I don't feel strongly enough about it to argue the point. If it is taking the broader elites from other expansions then personally I would move pretty much all of the specs down a few places at least. From the last beta I didn't think they were competitive with the older specs.
  19. I played since launch and around 3 years ago stopped opening birthday presents, they are still in my mail. I don't have to deal with it.
  20. Feels pretty accurate, apart from core ranger. If you replaced ranger with mirage then I would be happy. I am not saying the valk ranger is bad, it is just I don't see many, and see more mirages.
  21. There is too much cleanse in pvp. Power is really dominant at the moment, and if cleasne was nerfed it would allow condi builds to be more viable. Damage wise I don't think condi necro is a problem, I think the problem is more with how tanky it is. Core necro is another spec with too much cleanse. Normally there is at least is condi transfer on staff, dagger offhand, curses trait, and cleanses on consume conditions, blood magic grandmaster. If you are condi and fighting a core necro they can stay alive way too long with how many cleanses they have. Players should die to condi in a reasonable time frame.
  22. For me getting AP is coincidental. I don't go out of my way to chase it, and don't care when I get it. I suspect those who chase AP get much more out of the game than I do, but I just can't work out a reason to care about AP.
  23. I think it would go the same way because most people want to solo queue, while not being up against pre made teams at the same time.
  24. I played with harbinger a bit and this is first impressions, mostly based on how it felt to play it. In the first beta maybe Harbinger was too powerful, it had good dps, mobility and healing. Now harbinger has mediocre dps, no sustain, and mediocre mobility. I am not advocating for the healing. Dps, and mobility to all be good. I just think the power budget needs to be reevaluated. If harbinger is to have low sustain, and not to have good mobility, then it should have top tier damage. I think there is room for the movement skills to be 900 range if there is no life force to healing. Pvp wise core, scourge, and reaper are much better than harbinger. I am not sure where harbinger could fit in pvp. Sustain is too low to team fight, and I am not sure there is enough mobility to be a roamer. Maybe this just isn't a spec aimed at being viable in pvp. There are already good necro specs for pvp, and this is more of a boon + dps in instanced content? I don't like blight as a mechanic at all. To me it feels like it is purely a negative mechanic just for playing the character. I do know that there is a benefit to blight, but it isn't easily felt. I think this is because the loss of health feels much more noticeable than the increase in damage, and it doesn't feel like a fair trade. I wish traits interacted more with blight. I wish at max blight stacks I felt like an offensive god compared to no blight. I wish getting blight felt good in some way instead of bad. The power harbinger doesn't feel like it is good dps. It either needs a buff, or I would prefer to get rid of the power line and replace it with traits that interact with getting or losing blight. I didn't really check out the elixir changes. The new mechanics feel a bit overcomplicated for low effect. On paper the elite elixir seems amazing but in reality I felt lich or plaguelands have much more effect. I guess the elixirs are much more aimed at instanced content so it is probably fine that I won't use them if they are useful in that mode. For me harbinger felt better in the last beta, but maybe the healing was too much. Right now to me it feels further away from being finished than in the first beta. I think there is room in the game for a complete glass cannon elite, but it needs to feel like one.
  25. I tried it solo. Mechanically it feels alright. I think it is probably good to go without many changes. I am not sure I would even us it for anything, or what it is supposed to be for? Solo obviously I woud be using a different mount. I am not sure why I would invite a friend to use it with me. If we have to go somewhere it is better to be both on individual mounts, if we are in combat it is better and more fun to be on foot. I am assuming that the rason for the mount is some sort of content in EOD that hasn't been announced yet. I am not sure on the need for it in the current game. Maybe just for open world players who like simple combat? That being said I am not against the mount being implemented as it is. If people really like it it is a good addition to the game.
