Worse, I just did the exact same hydra on chrono in 7s. For solo content Chrono is just far superior because of the high boon uptime :(

I completely aggree. My only point was that the bleeding trait is actually the best of the 3 for PvE content^^ More feedback regarding Bleeding-Virtuoso: Dagger feels surprisingly good on condi virtuoso. The whole skillset seems to be designed with this build in mind. I loved playing it and I will definetly try it out when EOD gets released. However there's a number of problems with the idea behind a bleeding focused spec on mesmer. First of all and this is the most important: All of mesmer's bleeding comes from 3 traits! These beeing Duelist's Discipline, Sharper Images and Jagged Mind. Aside from this there is NO bleeding application on mesmer. None! In addition to this, Duelist's Discipline shares a tier with Phantasmal Fury which has extremely good synergy on virtuoso but you can never take it since Duelist's Discipline is taking this spot. (A problem that mesmers have been complaining about since Anet turned Traitlines into Core-Specializations.) Then there's the problem of good stat combinations for condition virtuoso. Essentially we'd need a [Precision=Condition Damage>Power=Expertise] Stat Combination which is just Viper's with power and precision switched. I've played some bleeding virtuoso running full rampager's gear with the rune of the krait. The build felt extremely good to play (by pattern and gameplay) but was inferior to the power variant by far. The changes I would suggest to make bleeding virtuoso a thing would be: Merge Jagged Mind into Sharper Images. Yes the trait becomes really powerful if you do that but the bleeding virtuoso focused on critical hits as much as a power variant. Create a new trait that somehow interacts with bleeding in the spot where Jagged Mind was. We already have a trait that rewards us for applying bleeds so this spot should be focused around applying them. An example that many here have requested would be a trait that interacts with our Psyonics or the Dagger. I'd love to be able to trait these. Especially since they are already highly focused on power damage switching them up to interact with our bleeds would be fun! Make more Weapons have the blade tooltip. Especially Scepter and Sword (MH & OH). Make F2 a bleeding skill by default many people have called this and I think so too! The bug that's currently in the beta allows us to see how well it plays out if you make this skill apply bleeding. Either move Duelist's Discipline to the Master Tier of Dueling or make the Pistol a bleeding weapon by default. I never understood why the pistol had to be traited to become a condition weapon.

Actually this is untrue. The main reason being that this in PvE generates blades more quickly than Infinite Forge due to the amount of bleeding the phantasms cause. The real potential of this trait obviously only unfolds at 100% crit on your phantasms when also running sharper images. Making your Swordsman Stock 2.8 blades, your Warden 3.4 blades and the Pistoliero 2.9 blades. Obviously this is dependant on the number of hits a phantasm fires! Off topic: Running Bloodsong on a bleeding focused Virtuoso feels AMAZING. You stock blades faster than you can shatter them. A single Phantasmal Duelist applies 16.6 stacks of bleeding at a critchance of 70% which translates to 3.32 blades from bleeding and 1 blade from the phantasm despawning. It feels extremely rewarding to use and I cannot stress enough how great it would be to make condition virtuoso all about shattering ALL DAY LONG! :D

Some feedback after playing a lot of Condition Virtuoso and Power Virtuoso in Open World: The spec feels like you can generate a LOT of blades really fast. It would be great if the spec would focus more on using the shatter skills. For the bleeding focused Virtuoso the cooldowns (Especially F2) are far too high. The blades skillfact should eother be more focused on or just replace interaction with clones. Traits like Sharper Images that get their most value out of clones should be adjusted to blades instead of introducing essentially duplicates like Jagged Mind. My main concern is F2 still beeing confusion focused. I like that virtuoso focuses on bleeding and I would really enjoy having more Bleeding on this trsit as well as the traits that affect Cry of Frustration to be adjusted accordingly to boost bleeding. Dagger 2 very often throws the daggers into the sky. I think I'd rather have the skill float like Mirage's Staff Ambush. Blade Renewal feels underwhelming. Only reason to use this in PvE is prestacking blades. The animation on F4 is extremely misleading. The block duration should always be the same duration as the blades around the character. It always looks like you're protected but you are not. I don't care if this reduces the damage duration but it's a major feelsbad if you believe you're still blocking because the skill's animation still lingers. Virtuoso currently has 3 ways to apply bleeding (+ one underwater) which is extremely low for a spec that focuses on this condition. Sharper Images, Jagged Mind and Duelists Discipline. Two of these ways are reliant on crits and the third one is competing with Phantasmal Fury (Which is needed for Sharper Image's full potential) Aside from that there should be a lot more options to apply bleeding since virtuoso is focused on that very much on bleeding.

When hovering the purple dots over your skillbar the tooptip says "n Illusions" instead of Blades. Literally unplayable. Using F1 deals more damage when using shatter storm. It uses a different coefficient. Greatsword Autoattack Crits will apply Vulnerability but not Bleeds with the Virtuoso Traits. Phase retreat will not generate a blade if used above 1200 range. Bladestorm Sorrow can sometimes hit targets above the maximum distance with only the middle blade.

@Levetty.1279 It's weird. I agree with you on almost anything regarding the virtuoso but I don't ubderstand how you can't see that blades are replacing clones. Clones have turned into blades. That's not a new mechanic true, but it is a replacement not a cut. It's not that I'm happy with how clones are treated on virtuoso I've listed the major impacts of losing clones already on these forums. However I think that giving up on clones has its pros and cons which is why I see it as a replacement, not a cut. In my opinion a cut would be to completely lose the ability to stock up on shatter fodder. Now while writing this I think I've realised what your point is: It's not about the fact that we have an ammunition for the shatters. It's about the fact that we lose out on clones and their utility, damage and other important features they provide. However there's always things that work less because of the spec you've chosen. Honestly I can only think of 2 very important clone features (for PvE): Attacking, which includes Sharper Images and stuff like staff AA, and body blocking projectiles. I wonder if staff gets any attention for virtuoso but I doubt it... Anyways I can now see where you're coming from. I still disagree though :P I think at this point it's a matter on how you'd define a replacement and a cut. Imo blades replace clones.

Since we had one Spec that focuses on phantasms and one spec that focuses on clones I had hoped for a spec that focuses on shattering all day. Virtuoso could be that spec but in the state that we saw it is not :(

I think he's referring to Sharper Images(?), and I have to give him that point. Sharper Images is way weaker without clones.

What I dislike: Bladesongs being shatters in projectile form is just uninspiring they could've done much more with these. The only one that's somewhat original is F4. Traits seem to be effective but unfun. The whole bleeding line is completely wasted. On Virtuoso we have 3 ways to apply bleeding, Jagged Mind, Sharper Images (which is less effective due to missing clones) and Duelist's Discipline. I especially dislike that Jagged Mind only works on Virtuoso abilities, which means it almost forces us into dagger. Dagger Skills are all just plain damage abilities. There's no utility and no condition support in these. I don't really like that. However I like the way they "move" and the fact that they're 1200 units. What I like: Heal, Utility and Elite. I like these. They also could use some condition support but I like how they're designed.

Nah the Blade tooltip actually does affect the 2 on crit traits meaning only skills with "Blade" can proc these which makes them much worse meaning only virtuoso skills apply to them. Sword doesn't count as blade. Mirror Blade doesn't count as blade. Hype. But yeah. Nothing for Psionics, sadly. Where other classes get cool traits for their abilities we get nothing.

You know as much as I that I am referring to Reaper and Harbinger here. That's the majority of necro's specs. And no. That's not how it is if you were to compare SB with Virtuoso you'd have a ranger without pet that can use skills that previously affected the pet to generate an adrenaline like ammunition for their profession skills. I'm not saying that I love the way Virtuoso is done but it does have a different mechanic. That's just a fact. Not a great one, I give you that but you can't say it doesn't have a replacement.
-
You're stating things without a trade off. Are you saying that Replacing F1-F4 is not a mechanical replacement? That's all necros got for ages. They always just get "another shroud". And on top we got our ammunition replaced to be less clunky and more reliable and bursty.
-
Keep in mind that to reliably inflict bleeds we'll need a lot of precision. Our only ways to inflicting bleeds is the Jagged Mind, Sharper Images and Duelist's Discipline that means 2/3 ways need crits. And guess what, there's no viable condi gear with lots of precision :D

There was no insult in my post however there just was one in yours. Let's not derail that any further and get back to topic. Clones not being a thing IS the replacement. I just gave you an overview of what we miss out on and what we get. Again this is the tradeoff that we get from getting a mechanic that is different to clones: Pros: Blades do not disappear. Blades are not bound to a Target Blades can not be killed Blades don't have to walk up to our target Cons: Blades can not body block Blades do not attack Blades can not distract Tell me how this is not a mechanical change to clones.

They work differently. That's what the replacement is: Clones: will perform autoattacks can be attacked and die die when the target dies are used as primary resource Blades: can not attack can not be attacked will stick around forever are used as primary resource At this point you're just being salty that we didn't get cool stuff but look at it this way: When was the last time we got cool stuff? iirc it was when they changed phantasms to not be bad minions (2018). If you stick to mesmer long enough you'll get used to not getting what the others get. Additionally you'll get used to others stealing your uniqueness :) However why project this all into negativity?
