Please hire a team to work on annual releases of SAB
Azure Prower.8701 replied to Icethorn.6570's topic in Festivals
I would come back if SAB and WvW actually got some love. -
If you are not a new or returning player, you had the opportunity to unlock them for free. That's fine and dandy. This isn't an immediate issue for you. Yet if you wish for your beloved game to grow, it will be. But expecting some one to pay for the expansions and then shell out more for the Living World - just to complete the expansion they already purchased - is silly. Sure there is the option of the obscene grind for gold to gems transfer. But that is neither fun nor fair in the amount of effort needed to even unlock one chapter of the story. Cosmetics and Convenience is one thing. Micro-transactions for story and game play relevant to the expansion you have already purchased is another. Guild Wars 2 is going to continue hemorrhaging players and not gain any new blood this way.

Don't expect any sympathy on these forums. You either log in when you're demanded to, and praise the developers for giving you the opportunity to even get the chance to unlock it for free. At least what some will lead you to believe. It's a very predatory monetary system used. That preys upon impulse with time limited purchases or incentives. It's quite deceptive when new or returning players purchase expansions, and yet unknown to them that they're only paying for half an expansion. Because if the living world wasn't the other half of the expansion, you could purchase and play it with out purchasing the expansion it is tied to.

Not really a fair comparison when Shadowlands is pretty bad and lacks content. Any other WoW expansion had GW2 beat content wise for time and money spent. You're even comparing content you're not even playing (EoD), and saying you've got your money's worth out of it. The bias is pretty strong there.

Not if you have HoT.
-
Anet would get a lot more EoD pre orders if they bundled PoF and HoT with it for free. Making HoT free after 2 years, where as PoF has been out for over 4 years. Expecting people to pay for it and EoD isn't going to fly. Especially with how lackluster EoD seems so far.

In-Game Housing [Merged]
Azure Prower.8701 replied to uberkingkong.8041's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
If player housing is any thing like how guild halls were done. I don't want it. Because I know that's the route Anet would take. The above idea would probably never happen as it kinda takes away from their 'VIP' areas. -
9th Birthday Disappointment [Merged]
Azure Prower.8701 replied to Zephire.8049's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Got my birthday title this week. Now I can pretend I did some raiding. -
9th Birthday Title already exists in-game
Azure Prower.8701 replied to Konjo.4981's topic in Guild Wars 2 Discussion
Isn't Anet the king of recycling old content for current content? Always going back to old zones and not for nostalgia reasons. You know that thing you did at the beginning of the game? Bam, there's a mastery/achievement for it now. Do it again. -
EoD is a $30 Patch.....

Looks like Dante outed themselves in not playing GW1 pre-GW2. -
Oof. Many people have left and Guild Wars 2 hasn't been as good as it was before the first expansion. May be setting yourself up for disappointment. But if you're looking for content, the expansions and living world seasons are there. Provided you're willing to shell out for the expansion and a boat load of gems for the living world seasons. In short, TwoGhosts summed it up pretty well. If you have nothing better to do. You've nothing to lose but your time... and money.

WvW is a thing. Last time PoF was discounted, was back in November. -

Oh, I'm well aware. It's just nice to see how far they're willing to go to defend insanity. Then let every one be the judge. Reason why 'the masses' agree with them, is because more than likely, those that don't, have quit.
