They call them hotfixes but they are really cold fixes, no game dev has done a true hotfix since 2002. Its a patch, plain and simple, hotfix would be done while everything is live and everyone is on. In other words if it isn't making the server shut down, it will be at normal maintenace time at the earliest.

Should be fixed somehow, but in the meantime sadly best option is to log out and back in to get you out of the scenario, youll have to restart it.

You mean like buy all of the expansions and use your instant 80 and do the first missions of hot and pof so you have gliding and a raptor in your first hour or two of play?

I could agree with that, Gliding only in Hots and associated season maps, gliding + mounts in PoF and associated seaon maps and anything in the future where mounts were considered, and disable both in core tyria where mounts and gliding were not a thought at all, I could get behind this.

Alpha is when systems are not all in place and still being put into place, beta is when all systems are in place and they are being tested, fixed, polished and tweaked. Everyone trying to describe what they are here has been wrong. This was most certainly a beta, the systems are in place, they just didn't work, so they have to be fixed. When you are testing with a hundred or so internal people it is easy to think things are ready, when you unleash it to tens of thousands things pop up.

If I wanted to play a crappy profession like whatever the heck caithe is with crappy skills and crappy weapons i would play it, don't take my character choices and skills and familiarity from me and make me fight a boss, all for a memory, make a cinematic for memories!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sure, guild wars 2 when you use the dx12 proxy, runs way better.

Upgrading to DX12 would make a huge difference in minimum requirements, due to requiring a dx12 compatable video card, more older cards are compatable with dx11. Namely the bottom one on the requirement list the 8600GT can only use up to dx11.1. However why they can't just give us a choice is the weird part. Many games offer the ability to switch, even indie games....
