  1. There's probably still time to get a refund. Mass refund requests will likely be the only thing to make Anet reconsider where the kitten are they going with all these 'balance' changes 🤣
  2. There are some enemies that have a 'locked' defiance bar which can be broken only at certain times or not at all. Those are defiant foes. Before the patch non of the bonuses that required a broken bar worked on them.
  3. I guess I was lucky with the Badge. Less so with Trinket. While I was farming Aetherblades in Old Kaineng for the trinket, after around an hour, Purist champ spawned a few meters away. So I called it out on the map chat for others, killed it and got the Badge. Getting the trinket took me around 2 more hours of killing Aetherblades. Also - WTF Anet. It's been 3 months since release and you still did not manage to correct that "hint" for the collection? I mean, before I went to Old Kaineng, I spent nearly 2 hours killing Aetherlades in Echovald - because of the "hint". Then I got frustrated and went to forums and wiki to find out the "hint" is wrong and I should be hunting Old Kaineng Aetherblades. Ridiculous.
  4. As a new player you are probably better off just leveling your characters so you know their capabilities better. You unlock skills gradually and have more time to see what they do. Keep in mind also, that you can use the boost on a 80 lvl toon. Apart from the exp boost it will also give you 4 bags, an exotic set of gear which might be useful for a new player and some other less useful stuff. As for the mounts. I'm just as baffled as the guy above. Can't think of any reason you should 'be careful' unlocking them ;] They are account-bound. Maybe someone wrote it because mounts were introduced in PoF expansion. So if you first unlock the mounts and then go to previous expansion, it will be easier to get around the maps, which were designed first with no mounts in mind. For me though this is a good thing as otherwise the maps are, for me, horrible and frustrating to navigate. I started playiong last year and I know I would not have played this game for long without mounts. Expecially HoT maps. If I was playing when it released, I would quit, lol. HoT maps look nice, but are a nightmare to navigate through when you don't know them and don't have mounts.
  5. There's also this for casuals: "Tier 3 upgrades for jade bot modules can now be purchased from Myung-Hee in Seitung Province and Zazzl in Arborstone." - this was in the March 29th update. EDIT: reading is hard... sorry, misread the post. You meant the thing for turtle not the upgrades for jade bot modules. My bad.
  6. I got all xpacs and in WvW roaming I use core necro almost exclusively. It's perfectly viable. Also, I completely disagree that buiyng xpacs with a lot of content in it should be considered p2w. You need to consider as well that if the developer doesn't earn any money then the game will stop beeing developed. People need to get paid for their work. Otherwise they go look for a new job...
  7. The timer starts, yes. But it doesn't matter really... Like others mentioned, you will not loose the buff unless the skiff despawns. And it despawns when you get too far away, not when timer runs out. There is more than enough range to kill nearby mobs, pick chests or seaweed.
  8. Wow, I wish I had enough free time to be able to handle over 100 accounts on a daily basis. Then again, if I had so much spare time I probably wouldn't spend it all playing a video game. Having just 1 account keeps me busy enough for now ;]
  9. When you are at the inn you start 'resting'. If you rest for 4 hours you will get a 4 hour long buff to exp. If you leave the inn earlier than 4 hours, you will have another timer - 5 minutes. You got 5 minutes to return to the Inn in order to not loose progress on any 'resting' you done so far. Example - you rested for 2h35m minutes and left the inn. Now, if you return withing five minutes, the resting will resume from 2h35m, untill 4h is reached and then you get the well rested bonus re-set for 4h. If you do not return within 5 minutes, the resting time accumulated so far is gone. When you go to the inn it starts from 0 all over. Maximum well rested bonus is 4h. It resets to 4h after every 4h spent resting.
  10. I had it unlocked. It was at the time one of two things I still needed from collection. Got it the next day, after second run. I did not 'loot the chest' after the first run. I do have auto-loot enabled and got some rewards for first run without manually looting chest. Including an ascended longbow. Living Water or something. Rest assured, I pay more attention to checking if I can manually loot chests after strike. Did the turtle one twice and then a run of all except the last one. Our group made like 5 attempts at the last strike, one was pretty close, but we ultimately failed.
  11. Try lowering 'Character model limit' and 'Character model quality'. It will not change anything about your character model. You will however see less other people and less details about them. It might help a bit.
  12. Less than zero experience in raids? Should we understand it as 'negative' experience? 😂 Just joking ;] Turtle strike is really not hard.
  13. I have autoloot and got the other rewards. But yea, that was my thought as well after a little research. Figured there maybe was more than one chest and the autoloot didnt get the other. But when I did the strike for the second time, I got the item straight after the win. Before I went near the chest, which I could not open because aparently autoloot got it already. This might have something to do with daily rewards. I had a similar issue with an item for one of the new spec weapons collections. I did the Seitung meta on a char that did not need it for collection and got the daily reward from it. Then I decided to do it with another char who needed it for collection and did not get the item after it finished. It turned out the collection item dropped from the daily chest. So I had to do it again the next day to get the collection item from daily chest.
