  1. Hey, thank you for clarification. However do you mean specific boon/condi duration. like burning duration on Flame Legion runes, or only the general effects saying explicitly "+x% Boon Duration" or "+y% Condition Duration"? Or in other words, do I understand correctly that both effects: "+10% Burning Duration" and "+10% Condition Duration" and all variations of those are to stay on runes? 🙂 xoxo Antina
  2. The same for guardian profession skills, and other classes: https://i.imgur.com/atLY5XS.png
  3. It's 30 seconds right now, what do you mean? 😮 "Advance" has no pvp/wvw/pve split and with Pure of Voice if went from 30seconds to 24sec, so why this change claims to reduce recharge when for the past 7 years it WAS NOT 40 seconds recharge... https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/"Advance!"
  4. Please make cooldowns on Mantras reduced with Wighty Terms change, so we dont have to run 80% boon duration...
  5. Where are the alac Willbender changes? 😞
  6. Also when I turned off all allied effects the "Greens" on Aetherblade Hideout and Kaineng Overlook didn't render for me.
  7. I do all types of PvE content, and I think mantras are in a good spot. There is some weight/tradeoff to using last charge and a depth if you want to min max it based on a fight. Looking on a class just through benchmarks is just unrealistic point of view. Let's just take qcFB for example - almost nobody managed to pull that of in fights with sad 5% base crit chance the torch 4 RNG just griefs you. But sure, on golem, full ritualist gear, dps traits and renegade runes work. What bothers me about the changes it that the reward for cleaving (Permeating Wrath) got nerfed, the reward for swapping weapons and playing something that is not an axe got double nerfed (Unrelenting Criticism trat + aforementioned F1/Permeating Wrath nerfs). It's just straight up garbage changes, I can't call it balance. It did tune down bench numbers with introduction of putrid gameplay. Meanwhile the scourge of every condi guardian build - torch - remains unchanged, the kitten awful trait Radiant Fire untouched. Also for Dwayna's sake, don't make a Emobrand of Firebrand, there is Fire in the name, in the lore of the spec, it should do scoriching fire damage... the addition of more bleeds is just so disconnected.
  8. I'm excited about the patch, but this section is also my favourite by far, finally we will be able to "see" bosses in encounters 😄
  9. I'm disappointed that a cool ability to cleave multiple targets and something that rewards using abilities correct is getting nerfed by half. How is that a quickFB fix, if it hits hard into DPS FB and especially the open world FunBrand builds? Please reconsider touching this trait, maybe just move it to something else if abandon the change entirely.
  10. I love the ideas in general, however for Guardian i need to throw in my cents 😉 I don't think void-anything either suits guard or the situation we're in where, the void problems are more or less this expansion. If we look at the quote from gw2 book https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sea_of_Sorrows_(book) Which is something I absolutely adore, especially as a big fan of GW1 Monks and Ritualists. I'd push this frontier more, rather then invent a new wheel. Embrace what Guardians are, the crazy hoo-ha! The Anthems and Chants could absolutely fit this.
  11. The changes to FB are awful, sure with current numbers quick FB was to be nerfed for sure, but why again at the cost of dps FB? At the same time you state that other specs that hit similar numbers to dps FB are in a good spot, like the top of the charts thief. Why do we promote axe camping and uninteresting gameplay now (Unrelenting Criticism). Why the middle column of traits in Firebrand spec has to be uninteresting garbage for non-suport builds? If you intend firebrand to be only support spec then at least give us back some options to pick up. Ashes of the Just nerf? That is already a pain of a skill to use as you can't control on what target those stacks are used, and now you take more from us. Are we going to run quickness mantra now to proc Quickfire every 7ish seconds on dps FB? Also why can't we have at least a balance patch cycle of rest after all those tome, mantra, and other changes?
  12. Okay, thanks for debunking that! 😄 I really appreciate her voice acting, so I'm happy to hear it's just a bit different delivery maybe.
  13. Did the voice for female human change in the newest story chapter (EoD, What Lies Beneath) or is it just recorded in a slightly different way? It seemed of for me.
  14. I'll admit I fell in love in firebrand because of mantras (the pre may 2021 ones), and making them insta casts without channel nor last charge was both boring and in a way insanely OP. They were powerful insta-cast and now there is at least some weight to pressing last charge, and if you wanna squeeze more DPS you have to plan around those channels as well. And for those throwing numbers around, it's pretty easy to just swap a few numbers around for lower ones, we all know that. It's not easy to make a spec feel good or a mechanic feel worth playing with.
  15. Might be Harvest Temple Jormag too
  16. Awesome mantra changes, thank you so much!
  17. Fact that other MMOs have it this and that is poor argument. Yes, blue is in general a code for healing skills but consider this - tome which cannot be used is gray (as in now no pages, so the âš¡ appears also), but tome which has an active on cooldown screams RED RED RED ALERT ABORT MISSION.
  18. Please make it gray or something more cooled down. Red feels like somebody slapped pink on a reaper, it's just as anticlimactic as you can get.
  19. This is a step in right direction for sure, altho I'm still waiting for some changes like visual indication of page recharge state and making it possible to track at least one skill in a tome, maybe similar to auto-cast selected skills, we could mark one in tome/kit and that would be shown as visual recharge border outside of tome, you know the typical recharge animation border. Also Renewed Justice giving a page for killing enemies would be QoL in open world.
  20. To be honest, this change was pretty good, not perfect, but baby steps. Playing as DPS you can do sort of tome rotation, if you do exactly what you did before rework (25412 or alike) you can still do that, and even end with one page, next time you enter tome, you have to be more conservative on pages, but it's perfectly fine to do sth like 245 in tome, which uses 3 pages, and refunds one from Swift Scholar. You have a bit more leeway to use some of the tomes utility. There are some problems like Renewed Justice which in the past either refunded tome or one page, this doesn't do anything interesting now and a few more. However in my opinion that's not the main issue here. When we look at details, from a more UX perspective, we see that, we... don't see. internal cooldowns of traits like Quickfire unknown recharge of page (no indication if we get new page) the old tome CD number is gone, now it's just blue/red(what an un-guardian colour to use! make it gray plis) cooldowns of skills in tome are hard to track Let's start from top to bottom: 1 - Internal cool-down of trait's like Quickfire is a problem across all specs and professions, so probably the most clear one. Before the rework it was a bit easier since this trait was not used in almost any build, so we didn't feel that toll. 2 - Recharge rate of pages - now let's skip the point if 8/6 seconds is enough, I wanna focus on the UX/UI. With thief we get it much faster, but with 8 seconds it's a while, especially in a fight. Some sort of visual indicator what "what point" is the page regen would be beneficial. Also maybe just make the newly refreshed page pip pop and glow brighter blue for a second, so we have a visual indication we got a new page? This would help because in some cases it's fairly easy to track cooldown of skills in tome by counting pages we get. 2 pages = 16 seconds, so with perfect alacrity in a strike/raid we should have a 20sec skill offCD, like Ashes of the Just, which matters for us on DPS roles. 3 - What we had before was a CD number on tome saying how much time is left, not the button is red (which is just awfully unGuardian colour, but let's just pretend it's gray or other shade of blue. I know accessibility is important, but red on guardian is like making reaper skills pink). So we lost the easy to access information on when tome's activation effect is offCD. It is accessible by hovering with mouse over effect, but that's just way worse than straight up number on skill. This is an easy fix, let's just bring the number back on Tome skills at least for now. 4 - The biggest issue in my opinion, skill CDs in tomes. We don't know at what point our Epilogue is, we could try tracking pages we got, but as mentioned in point 2 it's rather hard. We could use a skill with similar cooldown and try to pair those assuming we don't need e.g. Unbroken Lines as situational thing. It's bad or awful either way. We become blue engineers, but books be our kits. Maybe gime us an option to mark our "important skill in tome" as in track one. The way it would work is, we all know that we can mark a skill to be autocasted, recently this was also added to pet skills. In a similar way we could just mark a skill in a kit and then use some typical cooldown indicator - the filling border around edges of Tome/Kit to indicate the state that skill is at. Easy to use for all that want it, should be fairly okay to implement (?) and stays optional, we don't force it on anyone. Or let us optionally turn on debuff icons like the dormant tome indicator and just have 20 more icons on buff bar, if we choose to. This is probably fine assuming as some point we get a UI rework to buffs, so maybe let's not do it. While I don't think either of those are a perfect solution it might be universal for all kits (as in Tomes and Engi Kits).
  21. This is a bug, and probably happens when you use Tome1-skill4 as last skill in tome while having leftover pages. So either use something else before quiting tome or change order of used skills for the time being and :prayge: for fixes...
  22. we used to have this on a trait for last half a year or so, the Renewed Justice trait in Radiance.
  23. I think 8 seconds per page is insanely slow in all game modes, it certainly feels so in PvE. In competitive which is even faster paced in my mind I can't imagine this being useful with costly skills also gated by CDs.
