  1. Make shadow arts great again, i will always be loud for this, that traitline got completelly DESTROYED, removed one of the most important aspect of the class
  2. So after Anet butchered completelly shadow arts, do we have any options of a stealth heavy build? i had SO MUCH fun in wvw staying in permastealth + speed to follow enemy zergs and comunicate their position, i have tested things now it's very very frustrating to have your class most important aspect dumbed down...
  3. I just noticed after some months coming back to the game that a very fun playstile i had in wvw is completelly impossible now, i played rune of the trapper dragonhunter in WvW sometimes just for the sake of having stealth and a fun gameplay escaping. I don't care if that was not optimal for dps or whatever, it's an option for horizontal progression, where Guild Wars 2 is known for, removed, but this kind of stuff is what was happening to wow in 2014 era when spells and effect were pruned for no reason, i wanted to share my personal feedback on this, hoping to get a old rune of the trapper relic, because for me removing something like that makes no sense. Sometimes it's not just about numbers, is about the fun having playing your profession
  4. This feels like Anet just sacrificed the whole shadow art traitline just to make specter work... i mean.. thief is about stealth and using it's tools and combos to get or stay in stealth, wich is a big part of the thief class mechanic choosing when to attack. ANET im gonna be blunt and direct, this feels like when someone removes some of your toys and tells you "that's all right we have other toys" and im worried alot because this is what i have seen wow doing post WOTLK before their decline If i want to play my thief ( as i did from 2012 ) like a super stealth gameplay in wvw expecially, i will probably not being able to, and that's what's feedback in forum is about. #SaveShadowarts don't butcher it..
  5. I absolutelly agree 100%, is boring, sure might be good for pvp with the stun, but the point is that it just seems like another utility skill... and we had one already in POF ( wich for the firebrand playstyle was nice to have ). I think an elite skill should feel special, an elite! , remember tomes pre HOT? , as cluncky as they were, were good elite skills ( still miss tome of wrath big explosion #5 ), the elite is just one of the reason why i think willbender as a concept NEEDS MOBILITY to make it feel special, F2 should have more range for example ( think of the wind walker monk from WOW ) Ideas how to fix the elite? (random possible ideas) Maybe akin to the virtues make it activate some sort of buffs after the impact, Make it deal WAY MORE damage. Change the fundamental gameplay aspect of the skill, make it interesting worthy of being an elite. I really really hope we are not stuck with a broken wheel for the whole expansion lifecycle, yes other elite speccs are still available ( im playing as DH now ) but it just feels bad not having new interesting toys to play with my favourite profession.
  6. I agree, it feels really nice, i am probably switching from guardian to mesmer to play EOD story
  7. Let's start by saying that i have not failed to say anything since.. you know... feedback is personal and you should write that to Anet, not me. it's not who win or loses scenario where the loudest voice wins, Anet decides what to do and how to balance, but people have the right to say what they feel and think freely, if you feel virtuoso sucks GOOD! but its your opinion, my opinion is that its an awesome class gameplay wise as far as i played it. You have the right to write what you want in the willbender topic since again.... ITS PERSONAL OPINIONS After that, i don't want to start flaming so... im out!
  8. Every person experiences the game in different ways... i played pvp (expecially wvw) and pve, how i experienced the virtuoso is that if "feels" really nice to play, where the gameplay and animations of the specc are pretty defined, and has satisfying spells / combos you can do ( blade recharge + F1 for example, or the slow blade plus the "aoe blade rain" spell ), im sure Anet will change traits and numbers to balance, reflecting the general feedback of the topic, But what im experiencing with virtuoso is a class that makes sense gameplay wise ( like the harbringer ), and NOT like the willbender for example, where in the willbender case i tried to enhance the specc by choosing specific traits but also with that felt lacking something "special" or "new" as multiple ppl are saying on that topic , OFC there are numbers to be tweaked but as i see in a broader sense of the specialization, feels nice to have new "toys" and "tools" to play with.
  9. Sooo only people with 300 posts can give feedback? please explain.... I'm playing since 2012.... , never thought ppl need XX AP or something else to give feedback... that's nonsense
  10. Pretty much: GOOD JOB whoever designed the class and animations! The animations: Oh boy i haven't seen animations THAT GOOD in gw2 since the vanilla Guardian sanctuary / tomes, shield #5, or mesmer staff #5, absolutelly a pleasure to see, only dagger #3 seems abit "too much" animations wise haha ( i see many doctor strange nods in the animations and i love that ) Balance: I personally would not worry about "numbers" as that can be tweaked and you know better Gameplay / traits: in general is really fun to play ( reason why i have "merged" all the sections in one) , glass cannon with some options to be defensive in traits, and probably a condition specc available too? ( havent' tried that tho ) No complaints for me really on the class.
  11. Agree on that, would be nice to be able to move with this specific elite spec equipped, since it's so glassy it should not be a problem in pvp also, Sword #3, staff #4, hammer #5 are all skills that are not super aggressive, Sword #3 would benefit the most from this change, bringing something new to the "willbender" plate
  12. Willbender looks really nice on paper, with the mobility assassins vibe, but as i played it i feel there is something wrong with the clunkyness of the class: Virtues: Virtues feels OK, but the F1 has that annoying lock with no target acquired, F2 would be nice to have like warrior's "bull charge" style, not aimed on feets, F3 is good, but the range is ridiculous, its just a small blink, as stated below, the trait "restorative virtues" feels like should be baseline, lets remember that Greatsword 3 has more range than the virtues... if you want to give willbender mobility and less damage with being able to burst only in certain situations is ok, but needs more mobility tbh, OR just reintroduce the vanilla beta 1H sword #2 where you could also target it on ground / teleport with no target , that would help indirectly the willbender, but maybe giving too much power to other specializations. Animations: Animations ( not weapon animations ) are really boring / not guardian themed i guess? (black flames /circles) , ( take a look at the virtuoso animations, the quality there it's night and day compared to willbender), Staff #2 has more "BANG" than the willbender elite skill in my opinion, reversal of fortune is funny when you lose your weapons to get cover lol Traits: I feel like the traits are a mixed bags on the topic on "how do i want to play this class" the first column from left is ok, fits the "what i sacrifice to do more" mentality, Restorative virtues feels like should be baseline for the "flow" of the virtues gameplay and the lethal tempo usage in fights , Phoenix protocol is nice but most of the time you are using F2 virtue to run away or heal, not useful in pvp, maybe more pve oriented, but still, would be nice to have that on F1 maybe, tyrant momentum feels like its just a baseline damage increase, is it really worthy for a grandmaster trait? expected something more special like: Deathless courage, THAT'S a good grandmaster trait style, something that if i choose to invest in this specific thing i can really feel it. Sword offhand and utility skills: Sword is pretty solid, looks good the #5 is really fun, considering is a movement skill too, but would love to get a little bit more range, absolutelly love "flash combo" ( despite animations as mentioned above), is so fun when you chain all the TP guardian has, rolling light could be faster in rolling, no comment on the heal havent used it much, and the elite... oh boy the elite is so boring to use and hard to connect, the animation is underwelming Elite skill: I feel i have to get a section for the elite skill too, I was hoping to get a "dragon maw" kind of elite, doesnt feel like an elite when i have it every 20-40 seconds ( that includes the firebrand too in my opinion, but firebrand works in his specific way so its ok), what i am seeing in the future is to use Renewed focus as the elite for willbender 90% of the time for the reason i state above where the "Restorative virtues" trait feels like should be baseline, i hope we can have a nice elite instead of this, something makes you feel powerful, not just "another glorified utility skill"
