I mean, you already have warriors with insane boon range so why not just expand it to others, right? But that’s asking for a lot when it comes to aNet.

Which can easily be fixed/bypassed with an increase range of all boons (and/or heals). The lazy route is the easiest tho.

We’ve so many “should not exist in current state” with ele across all specs it’s kinda pointless to list them all. Eventually you’ll find a way around them, even if highly frustrating. I’ve been trying to switch main for years but I keep coming back to ele despite having a blast on other classes. 🤣

Best suggest I can give ya is to go with the "one build, all modes" celestial tempest/cata. 😂 You'll not push out insane damage (45kish) but at least you'll be able to tank more than 3 hits. 😚

I honestly find the heavy focus on melee across all its e-specs, and also core, to be the biggest turnoff. Staff is available but it's a dreadfully slow, and boring, weapon. Scepter is just.. whatever, dagger is better. And now we've 1h sword across all specs. I've mained staff ele (tempest & cata) for years now but I still get turned off by the forced "Battle Mage" class fantasy, yet I always come back to my ele. 'Tis a toxic relationship we share. 🫡 Also I didn't quite catch what game mode you've issues with, but honestly Celestial on Ele (pretty much all specs) work wonder in (almost) all GMs - I can't speak for PvP/WvW.

If you push away the BIG DEEPS mentality to the side you'll have more fun exploring and finding your main. I personally hate weapon swapping classes (altho mesmer is/was my main- pain!) and tend to stick with Elementalist or Engineers while also avoiding conjure and toolbelt weapon BS. :c I'm a-OK with giving up X amount of pewpew if I can avoid that horrid mechanic.

Ah yes, gotta love how healers has gone from healing to baby dps with buffs the past few years. GW2 ain’t even the one starting that trend. The healers here are the best example tho only because our DPS powercreep so hard. /sincerely, a “bored of playing as a poor man’s DPS” healer.

Celestial works wonders on everything OW, but especially the floortank class #1! I usually roll basic core ele staff full minion build whenever I cba to play at my "best". It's nice havin meatshields soaking up the damage that would (almost) otherwise obliterate you. 😁 Otherwise it's a staff minion catalyst for some spice of life. Or specter if you want more oomph.

*firmly grasps my staff and stares at y'all* let my necro-staff be, kitten you! 😱 It's one of very few staves in game that isn't utter "sUpPoRt" only, and multi-functional/versatile at that too! Go and suffer druid/ele staff if you want moar supportive stick. 🙂

Melee pistols yes pls! Bashing your face in with the butt of my gun = very painful! 🤭
