  1. I play these games for pve & story. I find the story quests on my thief to near impossible. I'll never be an uber player but I enjoy playing the pve & stories of mmos. The stories here are more like dungeons on the low end or raids at the higher end. The latest has crystals that are impossible to see, 5+mobs attacking you while you're trying to find those crystals. It would be great if they had a story level, doesn't have to be boringly easy just doing solo w/o making your forgot or ignore the story just to get thru the fighting. At least make it so people can see the what they have to get to weaken the mobs to kill them.
  2. I'm a returning player. I am a PVE player and the reason I play MMO's is the fun of discovery and the stories.. I've always had issues trying to get involved in the GW2 storylines, the way they are presented many having to read small print conversations makes it hard for me to care about the NPC's or the story line which impacts immersion. I don't feel what I say or do really matters. I wanted to check out the latest stories but I like to do things in order so I have some sort of history to build a connection with the characters in the story. I started on Living World 1 & then got most of 2 done before I was presented with a episode that was locked requiring that I pay to play it. I get your a "free" mmo but this is STORY. I also play ESO there you can sub or buy a DLC (in its entirety) giving you access to a new land, new story quests. Here I have to pay per episode and it's not access to new land with other quests, its the same lands with no other quests included. So as a returning player or even a new player, I have to pay to play or hope that they'll allow free access sometime in the future. I came back thinking of buying the expansion but there are times I can't play due to work or health so not sure it's a good investment to buy another expansion to a came that will lock me out of the stories if I don't complete them in a certain window. I know you need to get money but I'd rather pay a sub or if you had homes, & real mounts to buy, giving you money for them. Or crates like SWTOR & ESO have with a chance to get mounts, pets, & other items. I have a house full of music boxes in ESO. Love them, now I can collect w/o dusting. Wish you had that here to make money & allow the stories to be open if you own the expansion they came in.
  3. I'm a returning player. I've found the changes hard to follow & think tooltips or in game guide would be helpful. Now for the stories. I've played & play several MMO's, I'm a pve player who solo's alot. In most games I can do the story modes w/o dying alot since they're about the story. In this game I feel like I'm in a dungeon by myself at best or a full blown raid at worst in some of the stories. I find the tiny print of most of the quests & the inability to see the faces of the NPC's make it so I care less for the characters and therefore experience less immersion. It would be great if you can enjoy the story more & die less. Also why do I have to pay 200 per episode for the story lines. I get your a "free" mmo but I'd be more inclined to by for an entire season like a DLC or even like ESO pay a sub to get access to those seasons w/o separate purchase. If that's not possible how about including previous seasons with new expansions. I'm pay more to have Living World Episodes in the expansions than having to buy gems to catch up on the story lines I missed. At this rate there really isn't much of a reason for me to play the game since I can neither afford to pay to catch up in the story line.
