It seems like an issue where multiple people that have selected the same guild doesn't get matched together in the WvW beta. Hope it is temporary

There is a specific event that has to spawn where you then can interact with them

Had the same issue. I was lucky and had a friend that was in an instance where the dwarf event had been completed and the ice elemental had spawned. Was lucky with the dwarf event spawning in again, but have also seen the bug of it being stuck. Have you managed to get any of the other events i mentioned? With how it's looking now i'll probably be taking a small break for it to be fixed. Or simply go for other mastery points in the mean time.

For Protector of Droknar's Light Here there are 2 events that has issues, possibly 3. 1. "defend Droknar's Light from the Invasion" doesn not seem to ever spawn. Haven't seen it once since the launch 2. "Pacify Belligerent Dwarves" has an issue where it sometimes doesn't spawn 1 of the enemies you have to defeat, making it soft locked in that instance. 3. "defeat the champion Engrorged Ice Elemental" in some instances, this doesn't seem to ever spawn. For Protector of the Beacon of Ages and Garenhoff. there is only 1 event that never spawns which is the event for "Find garenhoff villagers" Once again, have not seen it spawn once since launch and same for those i've asked. For Protector of the Skyward Marches There are 1 even here i've also never seen spawn which is "help the Astral Ward Drive Back the Forged. And the event to "kill the cmapnion Avatar of Regret" seems quite rare to spawn, only seen it once. But might be tied to the event mentioned above. not sure quite yet.

Towards the end (i think) of part 8, you're suppose to defeat enemies. But no matter how fast or how you kill the enemies you get stuck at around 95% with no additional enemies spawning, making you soft locked until you relog. I've attempted this 4 times, each time taking longer to kill the enemies to make sure every mob counts. Yet it still happens.

So those of us who are crashing from opening the gemshop? already converted gold to gems to buy things on sale but will miss that?
