  1. thats the thing. I would like to dicuss the disagreement. Henchmen mechanics in story instances could be a fun thing so solo play to be able to have some control and build control of the NPC units in the story,
  2. people not leaving because its easy. No totally opposite seen by how EoD Turtle Mount outcry. People leaving because the expansion was bad and not much new interesting features were added and now we have to wait a unknown amount of time for new content to come.
  3. I rather rely on the direct potential of a player buying skins when they have access to said object to unlock skins for. Much higher potential than somebody staring at a skin that they cant use...
  4. Yeah I played the game when everybody was trying to unlock those mounts and I had lots of players along the way to help with difficulties in that task. New players doing these goals dont have that massive amount of players to play with to get these goals done or to get help with task. Its not as enjoyable when less people are doing it. I play MMOs for the Massively multiplayer. Starting these task now after the rush is long gone, is more like a single player experience.
  5. well I sure didnt buy Skyscale and Griffin skins until I unlocked the mounts... so Yeah I think that logic checks out pal...
  6. yeah it does. More people with Skyscales mean more Skyscale Skin Sale potential. Thats Money
  7. in that art the mesmer is big like the Norn Warrior, compared to the female human Ele. So clearly she Norn.
  8. I wouldnt mind the henchman system added to Story Instances for controlling the squad in the Living Story. That could be cool
  9. Not optional in a Cosmetic Progression game like GW2 in which gaining skins is the endgame.
  10. I mean its a grind and is a worst grind for new players that have to do all that content while its not populated like it was on the skyscale release. I would hate to be doing that stuff now with less people around to help with the task. I persoanlly hate jumping puzzles, but I got help with the skyscale jumping puzzle. Imagine now with less people around to help with the JP, you all on your own. If you also hate JP that would be enough for a rage quit after grinding all that out and coming to this end that you cant pass.
  11. even WoW has ways to skip the grind now. So even they realize forcing new players to do pointless grind to get to the fun stuff isnt always best. So why have that structure here in GW2?
  12. GW1 was not a MMO. Its a Coop based hub game. Thats why that works in that game. This would not work well in a MMO like GW2. As of now in WvW the cap already disables Minis when population is too full, now imagine this with each player in that group with 4 other henchmen in the fight. Would totally crash the game. Again stuff like that works in non MMOs because they dont have lots of players potentially running around in the same space. Games that do it have a hard cap on the number of players in the area, like Coop games or SWTOR/Fallout 76, etc
