Armor skin advantages: - variable and its more cooler disadvantages: - need transmutation charges Outfits advantages: - free to change disadvantages: - boring after a time - expensive if you want more (you want) If you have legendary armors, armor skins are the best option (no transmutation charges needed to change the skin), otherwise (like me) just mix outfits and armors for different characters.
  2. You are wrong. The first 80 levels are just the tutorial of the game. Endgame is FAR AWAY. Endgame starts at tier 3-4 fractals, raids, 100+ rank WvW. But even with fractals you can't just join any group, you need to know what it is, which fractal, which build needed, what the group want. Healer? DPS? Boonstrip? Shield? At lvl80 you should only do fractals or any mentioned instanced contents if you know your class well and/or you finished at least one elite specialization.

This page describe the main features of the game but nowhere mention that even thought you buy all expansions, the story is not complete. This information should be on the actual buy page to make it obvious.
  5. Yes I'm aware that the story of this game is skippable, doesn't matter if you target endgame content and stuffs. But... the story tells you the core history of the characters, why they are there, why they look like this, etc. A lot events involve characters and dialogues which are connected to the main story line. You need to play the complete story at least once to live with the world anet made. This adds an another level of enjoyment and IMO if they are connected to the expansions ANet should at least inform the players about it.

  7. The GW2Radial is awesome and is accepted by the ANet staff. It makes the mounting a lot easier. I binded it to Q to easily access the mounts.
  8. Living World season 2 and 3 are crucial parts of the story which needed for HoT and PoF, not just random gemstore skins.
  9. Yes I'm know it very well that some of the expansions and living world seasons depends on the previous one. I'm just thinking, my ideas aren't the best, just giving starting points to let the brainstorming begin. One thing is sure, the buy page of End of Dragons is totally hide the living world series. Zero information that this is not the full content. Even the Collection Deluxe edition lacks all of the living world series, anet should warn people about this and/or make other packages that include these and call this COMPLETE EDITION. There will be an another angry train before/after EoD will be released.
  10. When it's not prime time, the enemy will lack players too, so you can just avoid them (if there any) and capture random things, escort, etc. and you will have tier 6.
  11. These prices and packages I wrote are just examples. I know that if they won't fix this issue more and more newbies will be upset, this is an ongoing problem.
  12. I said $15-20, but the price and the content of the packages are just an example. You need to own the living world seasons to understand the full story. In an other thread I suggested an alternative that let everybody play the episodes but without any rewards (map currencies, new mounts, event rewards, etc.). ANet should figure it out, it's their business afterall. Everybody agree that the current business model is a trap for newcomers, because nowhere anet tells you that there are plotholes between the bought expansions if you don't buy the "extras".
  13. WvW can also be played any time whenever you want. Big scale is just an option, you are not forced to do that. You can roam whenever you like without a squad. You get a lot of other things too, like mystic clovers, bags, ascended items, etc... I don't understand why you complain about Gift of Battle which is just like 1-5% of the total grind.
  14. I agree that anet should inform the players, but the OP clearly stated that the $100 is expensive and not worth for these contents (which is absolutely ridiciolus). For anet: - separate HoT from PoF - HoT should include LW2 - PoF should include LW3 - Complete package should include LW2 and LW3 The price should be like $15-20 / expansion

  16. I read that, which is totally nonsense. The montly fee for both games are over $25. (without counting the initial purchase) And he complains about that onetime $100 is expensive for lifetime content? The logic is epic there.
  17. You must be a troll or simply doesn't (want to) understand what people trying to tell you. $100 (EoD ultimate collection) for this much of content is ridicilously cheap. I mean really. A lot of: - new maps - legendary items - materials - new mechanics - skins - hours to play This is not a single player / story game. This is an MMO. If you want to play a single player game let me recommend you some: - Assassin's Creed series - Grand Theft Auto series - All playstation exclusives If you want to play an MMO you don't do it just for the story... And this is a lot more cheaper than any other MMO... I let you calculate 9 years of WoW subs price, or 6 years, lets calculate it with a 3 years break... tell me how much it is.

I have ~400 hours and: - unlocked every mounts (including the Skyscale) - 99 mastery points - all available areas unlocked (not 100% tho because of hearts) - 2 crafting at lvl400 - 4 characters at lvl80 (2 will be 80 soon) And this is only with: - Path of Fire - Living World 4 I'm not even touched these yet: - Living World 2 - Heart of Thorns - Living World 3 - Raids - Fractals - Dungeons You doing something very very wrong. And I'm a casual player too.
  20. Making it instanced is not easy I guess. But ANet could fix this issue with some limitations: - when there is a commander, only let commanders open the doors - OR when there are a lot (15-20+?) players on the map, more people needed to open the doors (like 2-5) These would limit trolls by a lot
  21. But... but here everybody are smarter than anybody else and they knows everything about the new expansion ! I wish they would focus their superhuman powers of seeing the future to give me the next week's lottery numbers.
  22. The two things are the same. Doesn't matter how you call it, either taxed or the current value (which is actively manipulated by an algorithm (to withdraw gold and/or gem from the market)) is different on buy and sell. The point is that it's a gold sink, because you get less gold back after buy&sell (or sell&buy). But I'm glad you finally understood it.
  23. No people to do the event? Activate the people gather skill and summon players! (a.k.a commander mode) 😁 If you didn't unlock the commander tag yet, you are a beginner I guess, and the legendary items are not really an important thing to do
