  1. I have discovered additional source for the crash at start up. Running the game with parameter "-mapLoadinfo" causes crash on launch with this error and log: Assertion: bgfx::isValid(m_handle) 22:58:06Z More than one view in the "ui_LoadingInfo" addon have the id ""; ids must be unique. This happens if you run the game with parameter directly or if you have it in "%appdata%\Guild Wars 2\Settings.json". Removing this flag and disabling feature of map info when loading fixes the crash. Edit: Disregard that, seems it was a fluke, it still crashes. Edit2: No more crashes for me after last character selection related update.
  2. 70 Character slots here. Can confirm I was using windowed mode (not windowed fullscreen, just windowed) and enabling dx11 caused bgfx::isValid(m_handle) crash. Swapping the game into full on fullscreen and enabling dx11 again solved the issue, so while playing fullscreen is not ideal, it did stop this crash for me.
