Just for clarity my game doesn't crash in case there ends up being separate issues. I've narrowed the problem down using the -maploadinfo argument in that when changing maps it just never starts the process of loading. It stays at 0% indefinitely; it seems to never receive a response from the server to begin loading in the first place. Using alt+f4 and trying again is something I've had to do constantly anytime I try to switch maps. Largely this makes the game unplayable since I'm primarily a WvW player and switching maps is a very common occurrence. My only hope is that maybe it'll get fixed before the Steam launch so I can participate in the community building events I had planned to bring in new players.

Problem started for me Thursday as well. Tried the fixes listed above and didn't help. ISP said it isn't on their end and to contact the game company. Hope there's a fix coming soon because I can't command wvw if I can't change maps.

Same for me. Cannot open gem store or game instantly crashes. Sent reports to Anet hopefully they can fix whatever is wrong.

The Tie Dye text bug on Windows 7 persists even after latest update. Hoping somehow it can be fixed!

Problem unresolved with latest patch - same text color blobs appear as evidenced by the pics in the thread. I too noticed when trying again after patch that although all the text was jacked the feeling of smoothness increased - especially noticeable when panning the camera in a crowded large area. I really want to try this Dx11 beta out looks like it might really improve performance!

I too want to play with Dx11 but unfortunately nobody has a solution yet. I assuming it has something to do with Windows 7 maybe. We all seem to be using that. Hope Anet can help us!

I use no add ons so I think it may be something else QuickFox - I just don't know what.
