  1. This gamemode is now entirely decided on how many people can stack mistrel builds and their ping
  2. nades are absolutely overtuned, always has been, especially the power dmge on #2
  3. announcing this in a bug thread when there is a cut off for selection is really weird, also how come we can see which alliances to pick from in the wvw panel now?

  5. vindi had nearly 100% evade frame uptime while dishing out 25k hps if including barrier and they only had to press dodge
  6. Do we know if this is caused by a bug or just an oversight by devs? hopefully a quick fix is in order
  7. Its okay anet has tons of new amulets, sigils, runes, maps, and modes in the works! Just look at how much pvp has been talked about by devs outside of patch notes since a few months before eod launch /s ...pvp has not been mentioned IN ANY WAY aside from patch notes in about a year now, Im not joking
  8. personally I think superspeed should be able to be stripped, especially since its affected by concentration, but id love to see way more access to it (and strips/reveals!)
  9. theres three points I think haven't been brought up yet about staff ele in wvw 1. Has to be 100% dps traits and gear 2. Doesnt work well in small fights 3. Doesnt work well against comped groups in open field, chokes and inside structures its well enough Theres no room for anything other than fire/air/x (weaver or Catalyst) traits, and have to run zerk/scholar/force/x (bloodlust or Absorption) If its a fight smaller than 15v15, staff ele just doesnt preform well in 99% of likely scenarios. Peram stab/prot/high resistance uptime comped groups in open field are not gonna take much damage in true open field fights unless your group is significantly larger and or their driver is terrible, your also the #1 pick target and enemies have so much space to gank/kite you. For defending lords room etc staff ele is the easiest way to get top damage though, it really does well in the right encounters. Dont use marauder, bad people use marauder for staff ele, zerk/scholar/force/air/fire all the dmge modifiers and might possible

  11. virtuoso and soulbeast are going to be stupid op now, virtuoso already kinda is against things that lack unblockable druid changes seem hype for wvw support please remove trapper runes!

I feel like after waiting in queue for 3-5 mins, then another 2 mins of pre game count downs, to the moment combat finally starts is way too long considering how most games are more or less decided in the first 3 minutes many games are not of course but the majority really are imo then there is the static nature of build diversity, nothing new gets brought up through balance changes more than a couple times a year, so even when there is great build diversity it gets rather stale after a month or two if we had more frequent real balance patches that actually brought up entirely new builds, not just changing a trait or utility slot every couple of months then I wouldn't really mind the long waits followed by short competitive minutes.
  13. I feel like if cele concentration and expertise were removed then it would be in a great spot theres no precedence for it so I could be wrong....lol (there was nothing wrong w cele before they buffed the kitten out of it)
  14. Would be so nice for something, anything, to be on the horizon for pvp, but at least WvW is getting attention, fingers crossed for balance updates soon!
  15. Funny enough power virtuoso is the only thing that I feel good with when going against cele harbs, theres soooo much aegis and disengage to counter their random animation less traits that strip boons etc the f1 hitting like a truck is always nice too

  17. lots of weakness, low cds to apply it > long duration i know its a meme but energy sigils and remeber to dodge into their slash, not away from it, also their stab is gone after 3s so a low cast time daze right after it ends screws them over, when the enter dragon stance my fingers are already covering dodge/quick cast daze abilities you need reflects to shut down their gunblade, 90% of its dmge is projectiles its challenging as kitten,l for most builds but ele and untamed (with weakness/prot trait) are kinda hard counters since weakness, vigor, and dazes are so accessible
  18. this isnt new but the person going home cant die, and the person going far must kill or return to mid quickly if either of the above fails then ur quickly down 100 points op you are getting unlucky w the matchmaking, we also tend to quickly analyze whats going wrong when down in score, vs when winning your really just focused on the fight in front of you I do agree that way too many duelists spend over 2 mins far without getting a kill, and far too many supports try to start home without realizing that without ally pressure they melt quickly to any decent dps
  19. anyone who argues that fb stab uptime for their entire party hasnt been busted for years is not the brightest, or very insincere this is a brilliant targeted nerf, and we really need way more access to strips, but still a step in the right direction give tiefs hella strips and some real self stab give rangers all the aoe reveal, and reliable self stab outside of soulbeast that isnt 120s cd etc, revert the signet change! there could be a reveal added to hammer autos or something and it wouldnt be enough plz dont be shy anet these bait/invis push dances that drag on are stale and fbs will still be pumping out so much stab, but now its not something that is almost a rotation to maximize uptime that only required timing it as your zerg was about to hit or be hit (a wvw zerg hit is like the most telegraphed thing in any game mode) now they actually gotta be sure a significant burst will land on them or be missed and not just listen to comms for when their driver finally stops baiting more lowish cd self stab with reasonable stacks, way more strips/reveal, and finally if melee dmge is significantly buffed then we will have the best meta possible imo, anet is really close to something perfect and they seem to be testing the waters and heading in the right direction boonball was great for a time, and we dont wanna return to pirate ship, but its time to shake things up a bit

Most new players will not spend more than a few games in pvp, theres no easing into it with how the queue system matches players to make "even" matches rather than grouping all players from a similar division blame it on the lack of player pool, which is fair, but it precludes new players from enjoying pvp
  21. we need more strips and reveals for almost every spec, no more 1 every 10s here, 2 every 30s if you counter there, give us access to real strips and reveal anet!

Everyone needs to learn that for vs you must dodge into the attack, sideways or backwards doesnt work, think of it like a wave at the beach The healing from might is a bit overtuned for wvw but compared to other things there its fine, it was already addressed in pvp like 4 or 5 months ago with some tweaks. Lots of people just are not well versed in bs duels but weakness application is a pretty hard counter, things like elixir autos, ranger traits etc shut down bs really easily
