  1. Was thinking about this the other day and wanted to know what others thought. I for one would love a new class to sink my teeth into. For me, I'd love to see a priest class introduced with light yellow spell animations with hints of light pink/white. I think it'd fit well in the game, especially for humans being the obvious. I get its a common class in rpgs but I think a priest would feel new to gw2 and I have been craving a more range focussed magic/support user. Its potential elite specs would could also be interesting and offer variety like an offensive water user called a 'tidecaller' or a spec that worships the void. Here are some more classes I thought would be cool: Shaman Swashbuckler Warden Gunslinger Looking forward to reading others interests 🙂
  2. I liked what lies beneath, the meta and I find the map pretty cool too with how diverse the areas are. The Jade pools and the deep are my fav areas. Also, I really want to know what those serpent things are sucking the leg energy! Other than that the lastest two episodes after are quite boring if I'm honest. It felt a bit like a chore completing them which is never good. Also the whole emotions thing reminded me of MoP which I've experienced before so it didn't feel new to me. I hope this theme doesn't become the main focus going forward unless they do something really interesting and unique with it. Overall I'd probably rate the latest episode 4 or 5 out of 10.
  3. Overall it has been pleasantly fun. So what aspects do I really enjoy and look for in a game? Maps - I find that all the maps are very well designed and each brings something different and new to gw2. I also love the Canthan appearance and the new assets. The Jade tech I also find interesting but it something I prefer in small doses personally. Overall id say maps are a solid 8/10. Story- The story is great. I am enjoying the new characters and the VA alot. I also like the conclusion to the dragon saga which makes me think what new suprises await us for the story. Overall a 7.5/10. I also really like the idea of making some of the boss encounters in the story a strike mission (I thought this was smart) . However, I don't like how I have to replay the story for collections unless its made easier after fully completing it on one character. Replayability can be good but only when done right 😉 Music- The music is BEEAUTIFUL period. Definitely a 10/10. Keep it up. Specs- Okay, so I think specs are a really important feature for a new expansion. Especially since PoF was years ago now so most players are likely getting tired and bored of the existing ones, me included. I've played virtuoso the most. It has great animations, interesting new blade spells to replace the shatters, and it isn't overly complicated or finger snapping like catalyst. Its fairly simple to play but is still appealing because it feels new and somewhat flashy for a mesmer. Some of the other specs however have something that completely puts me off from playing them personally, but this is subjective. Improvement wise, maybe do more research in what type of specs and weapons players are interested in the most and work from there with the ideas. My score is 6/10. Definitely room for improvement. Gameplay- Gameplay is pretty much the same as before. I think the jade bots add a few interesting utilities which are always nice. Events are pretty decent too, however some events I never see anyone try to complete like the gathering ones (ngl not a big fan of these aha). Not sure if this is because of map populations, not too sure. Maybe adding a further incentive for EoD map currencies could help with this, like making it somewhat profitable, or tieing it to a mastery/crafting etc. Metas on the other hand theres usually always a lfg and I do enjoy all of them! I give gameplay 7/10. Whats missing? Dungeons - I actually miss this aspec. Whilst strike missions are similar to some degree with its boss fights. I do enjoy fighting my way through a dungeon which can have different difficulties for replayability/rewards. New fractal- I really enjoy fractals too so I'm a tad sad we didn't get a new one. Pvp/wvw- no new battleground or game mode. Developers need to remember some of the audience might prefer pvp over pve so it would be beneficial to appeal to them somehow. My score for EoD overall - 7/10.
  4. Not sure if its a bug or previously mentioned but sometimes when I use the elite skill, if the enemy is either higher up on the ground than my mech (e.g. due to a hill), or lower, the mech skill wont hit it.
  5. Thought I'd share my thoughts on the untamed. Overall, I really like the idea. The hammer skills are great and really fun, but the mechanic leashed/unleashed needs a bit of work. The unleashed pets gaining cool new abilities is brilliant but I think more of a variety would be better considering we have range based pets, melee pets and maybe a heal pet (jacaranda? Idk lol). The main concern for me is the unleashed mode for the hammer. It needs to either somehow work with other weapons or be reworked. For example, I really like the idea of it enhancing its user either through our abilities or even boons .It doesn't necessarily need to have new flashy skills or animations. It just needs some sort of pay off when changing away from your pet to make it work with any weapon you use. Thanks for reading 🙂
  6. Only played it briefly but overall mechanist is pretty darn fun to play. Definitely the star of the specs for me. The mech animations are really cool. The mech skills are equally awesome. The signets and active abilities are brilliant too. Also love the mega death lazer beam. Makes me wish catalyst got the same amount of love but oh well. Engi here I come. Good job. In regards to changes, I agree that bringing tool belt skills back would be a welcome. Mech ai needs a bit of work too but thats understandable. Overall, I'm not sure what could be improved. Being able to change the mech color would be sick but obviously not an issue and is more of a request.
  7. This spec is my second favourite in beta 2, with elementalist being least. The spec is different to some degree but changes can definitely make it feel more fun and smooth. For example, dragon trigger could be used outside of using the gun blade when using your actual weapons. Another is the stationery charging of the dragon trigger which I think takes a lot of fun out of this. I understand that it rewards you with more dmg in response, but it would feel so much more fluid being able to move around with it and not being stuck in one spot. Heck, nerf the dmg if you must, I'd still take the ability to move freely with it just because it would be so much more fun. Pistol I have no issues with, potential idea could be to increase skill 5 range but not fussed. Thank you!
  8. I really enjoy vindicator. I think a few changes could make it more fun, like the alliance button should let you pick and stay permenantly in either legends, but thats just my opinion. Also, can I just say the GS skills and animations are spot on, good work! Skill 5 could have been slightly different in terms of movement as its used from reaper but this is minor. Overall, I find it really fun and I don't play rev much. Best spec of beta 2 for me.
  9. Considering how slow and clunky it is, 1200 range is fair, unless they give better survivability/dmg on the class. 600 does feel awful though, especially with no decent gap closers from what I can remember.
  10. I think catalyst could be a really fun spec, but like others have said, it seems to be having an identity crisis. I think, like with all the other classes, you should focus more on what makes the spec flow and more fun to play at this point, or no one will play it regardless of the damage output etc. Catalyst has the most work needed. It feels too clunky and slow. Skill 3 disappears too fast and the f5 skill is just not fun to use currently. Maybe instead of the f5 skill, make the utilities the gyro 'wells' which could then work well with staff!!! (Maybe add 2h traits to buff dmg). F5 could be a finisher relating to what you are attuned to, similar to the tempest's overload fields but not fields or id just play tempest. Oh, and fire skill 5 really needs to be range, along with an overall range increase for fire and air because 600 feels really awful. Hope you take on board the feedback! Keep up the good work regardless :)
