Speaking of miscommunication, the Returning this Week section of the latest post peaked my interest as the Maguuma skin (why only the treads skin though? 😕) was available almost exactly a year ago. None of the mentioned skins were on sale Friday...

I got the tonic because it shows (still!) a human model in the preview, oh boy I was really disappointed, the second disappointment came from support that they cannot do anything about it, no refund as they cannot re-lock already unlocked items etc. The only thing you can do is report the bug (over and over.. and over? is that count?) and hope for the best. A partial quote from my exchange: "The only way these are dealt with is our QA department which we ask players to submit bug reports in game. These reports send all the information to that department so they can investigate and help the developers fix the bug. However they don't respond to bug reports and Customer Support does not know if the bug is the tonic is previewing the wrong model or if the model it transform you into is the wrong model."

The recycler works on looted / harvested junk only. If you have it from previously or got it from containers, you have to carry it around in your inventory and will be recycled when you get a looted one. It could get annoying that you finally free up some space, and you get 2-3 different junk from a container like the Fluctuating Mass. I checked the tested ones on Jade Sliver page with the junk from Fluctuating Mass, and it seem that Bottle of Rum and Broken Lockpick can only be acquired from container, while the rest is recyclable. I consider this as a bug over a bad design choice, so feel free to report as I have done it.

Thanks for the info, I updated the wiki page. The worst is that Toilet Paper is gone... (start your panic for various reasons 😄) ... because it is an account bound, achievement related item. Yes, Wintersday Gift is effected too, probably update that as well.

It is like Khan-Ur, you must place them on the stone pedestals beside the chest. I missed that too for the first time 🙂

I just experienced it, and I observed the moa race too, so it is good guess that causes the issue. Logging out to character selection and back again solves this.

Yes, it is fixed. I'm updating the Jade Sliver wiki page which junk is recycled. I'm not sure if it is a design oversight or just a simple bug that junk from containers is not recycled, so you have to keep it in the inventory and get it as a drop to be recycled, like Shocking Crystal or Spike.

Good news that multiple stacks are salvaged. Bad news is that junk received from the reward track (WvW - Heart of Maguuma track, not sure if this matters) version of Thorned Cache and Chak Crown Cache are not recycled, they go into inventory.

It works on new drops, but if you have already that type of junk in your inventory, it will salvage all of it. I had 76 Dandelion Blossoms and got one new, and whole stack is gone. Not sure about how will it work with 250+85 Spikes. Will it salvage only the 85 or all of them? I will give new info, when I know.

Support gives a standard message of various authorized retailers, but that list is really outdated, as most of them do not even sell gems anymore. If you go through the various official retailers, you can find good alternative for the ingame gem purchase.

Maybe you are right, it does looks like a blank popup (which would ask for the additional authentication), I didn't thought about that, so I'm going to add that info to my support ticket. The weird thing is so far it worked without it, and usually new authentication method is released at a start of the month/year as I experienced.

I did not find anything related to this, so I share the info I have. With the End of Dragons pre-purchase, the end of credit card purchase came as well, which is still going strong (yes, I tried deleting and/or re-adding billing and card info, which does not help). After pressing Confirm button a small white square covers the "Re" words of the "Review Your Order" text and no transaction happens. Support gave the following answer: "The screen you've reported is now a known issue and we're still currently investigating into how to resolve this. That being said, there have been reports that using another payment method, such as PayPal®, works. If you are able to try PayPal, we recommend trying to make your purchase using this payment method. If not, we will let you know as soon as the issue preventing credit card purchases in your region has been resolved." If anyone experiences this, please report it, so that maybe helps them to solve this issue. Regarding the region, mine is Central Europe if that has any relevance.

Too many people to quote 🙂, so I'm not sure if this should be instantly unlocked or not, but a map change is definitely needed for it to appear.
