Meanwhile revs get Resilient Spirit, which is a trait provides up to 1200 barrier every 3 seconds with the simple requirement of having boons and existing.   3. First, learn to Dodge sword 5. Next, From personal exp, the classes below need to put the least effort to beat a WB. Cele - Rev/harb/Mirage/condi teef (though these can stall out along with other cele classes) Power - Bladesworn and Spell Breaker/Holo/Teef(stealth/port)/Vindi/Weaver/Mesmer There are some unkillable rangers but I don't know the build.
  4. https://imgur.com/ieylDxx So in this gif from a fight I had, both Hammer 4 and 3 don't connect when used. the enemy is targeted, in range but the skills just fire and nothing happens. Why tho? What can i do to prevent my skills from not functioning in the future?
  5. After seeing pistol 5 explode for amazing dmg in pve, i'vd love it to do actual phy dmg in pvp/wvw as well. I'd prefer big dmg to a kitten knockback. Also make it a beam that just fires out like a walmart prime light beam but only at lvl 3. lvl 3 = 900 range beam, unblockable, 1 big dmg hit with some burn.
  6. If anyone is still worried about WBs in the current patch, I dunno what to tell you. I'd say get good, but there is no "good" in the current small scale balance of WvW. Atm it's just various levels of kitten, face roll builds with crazy amounts of sustain via next to infinite ports, aegis, prot, resistance and barrier, all with no cost in the damage the class deals. WB has some of this but isn't the most obnoxious of classes currently running around small scale.

  8. There's a difference between losing a fight, and never being able to meaningfully engage your opponent before you're dead.
  9. I would love to see an ANET dev fight a good thief. Just to watch the utter hopelessness of them trying to fight back. The game they made with next to zero counterplay to the mechanic, zero way to play against the stealth/stun/dmg/port cycle. Same with the current daze mirage as a melee class. It would be a joy to watch them suffer their own balancing.
  10. Level 3 charge should just be a beam imo. Then people may actually use it.
  11. I would love pistol 5 to be a Walmart Prime light beam. That might actually useful. Pistol 5 atm is super clunky and annoying for anything beyond immediately firing level 1 charge.
  12. It's honestly clunky as hell. having to press the 5 key up to 3 times for max charge is terrible. Rather they just redo it without any stupid charging.
  13. Spec Willbender, it doesn't have the default aegis guardians get.
  14. Barrier doesn't need to be timed well to do a lot. if you're not hitting classes when they have barrier that's even better for them. I'm just saying if it's a paltry amount of healing, it won't matter at all, and I'd love for it to be worth so guard can go into full CC builds for it.
  15. In terms of roaming and small scale: Cele is still a problem. - Could be helped by reverting the change they made which added conc/expertise to the stats. Damage avoidance - Some classes have a stupid amount of this, way too many invulns/blocks/evades/conversion or straight up damage prevention methods while also still being able to pressure their opponent. Coupled with the problem above, leads to long boring sustain fights. Or if you're both playing power, the ranged class with more invulns/blocks/evades/prevention/conversion generally gets the W. Infinite Boons: Near perm boons, like 25 stacks of might, prot, resistance make things stupid. Outside of making burst incredibly high, Not every class even has options to deal with boons outside of sigil of absorption. Teleports/Mobility: Just gonna say it, I think 1200 range is too far for instant escapes or engages. Too many easy outs for too many classes. Would love to see all ports/leaps reduced to 900 or even 600 range.
  16. In terms of numbers for the new glacial blow healing, just as a comparison, Rev has a trait called Resilient Spirit, which gives them 1k+ barrier every 3 seconds for simply existing. Scrappers have Impact savant, that converts 15% of all their damage to barrier... forever as well as System Shocker that gives them and allies 700+ barrier whenever they CC someone. For glacial heart healing to be worth it, I'm thinking it's gonna have to be near the same level as monk's focus, at around 1200-1,800ish self healing. Anything less is going to be meaningless. This would make other elites like Dragon's Maw and heaven's Fist add some nice sustain if you land them, perhaps finally giving guardian other goddamn elites that are viable!

  18. It feels like a possible nerf. Chilled is a nice condition to apply when your class has little to no soft cc outside of immobs. I have some silly hammer builds that use Glacial blow. it will be sad if the heal sucks and it ends up being worse.
  19. I don't actually know, but I'd bet gw2 is the only mmo with a target select, that has ranged attacks simply miss because the selected target happened to be pushing a movement key.
  20. Projectile tracking on guardian weapons is basically non-existent and can be dodged by anyone simply pressing any movement key. Torch 4, scepter auto attack and staff auto attack only work in melee range because, and I'll quote: "What can ya do? lol!" - Anet probably.
  21. The Staunch Auras trait is the biggest offender here imo. It basically says they get infinite stab at the drop of a hat by simply doing what they would do anyways. Effectively making them immune to hard cc in small scale fights.
  22. How to beat WBs? Dodge offhand sword 5. That's it, you've done it! As for cele WBs, WB isn't even the stupidest cele spec. If you want to kitten on WB's just play cele harb, vind/rene, cata or mirage. There's even secret cele zerker build that will do it. Or... alternatively, just play any pistol/blind spam thief build.
  23. There can be more than one class that had kitten mobility. At least necro has always had perm swiftness on a good utility skill thanks to spectral walk. Before WB guardian didn't even have any good access swiftness, and had to rely on baked in +25% movement from set bonuses or traits, ensuring any class that had ez access to swiftness would always outrun the melee class with next to no cc... Both guardian and Necro got mobility boosts through Harb and WB.
