  1. Only mount related ones ive seen are turtle and beetle so far, i think they should deff add griffon races for at least the maps with good verticality like kaineng and echovald.
  2. I understand this isnt everyone's favourite content but that doesn't mean it existing is bad, on the contrary i think it really hurt eod that it didnt have adventures at all. Some of the new adventures are fairly simple and boring mind you but thats always been a thing with some of the adventures.
  3. I really enjoyed the slice of life stuff, appropriate dialogue and some fun and varied interactions based on choice, the serious stuff im abit more iffy on. The tunnel segment especially felt weirdly paced almost like it was bugged at times. The character choices for commanders trauma, some of them felt like the devs were grasping at straws but ehh. Also im disappointed there was no real tease in the story for where things might go next. One thing i took away from this is that anet can do smaller moments and lighthearted stuff well if they place them and pace them appropriately, they just need to balance the serious moments and the more lighthearted moments better, same goes for big and small moments within the story.
  4. Especially the coop adventure is stupid fun. Edit: since you guys also added adventures to base eod, could you also add mount races too? Griffon echovald race when?
  5. Thats not a mindset i subscribe to but if say fb did the same dmg as condi willbender while also has acess to 3 tomes then that puts condi willbender at a massive disadvantage. That being said fb rn is delegated in the same niche as scourge which is a pug carry with mediocre dmg but some awesome utility (imo). Personally i wouldnt mind if it had the ability to forgo acess to the utility for better dmg but as i said above my main issues with fb is the untagling of cfb and qfb and the gameplay being a downgrade compared to pre rework.
  6. You have the ability for a revatively small loss of dmg to give syg without taking it, giving out aegis, some good healing modifiers with tome 2, pulls, reflects etc. Not all together ofc but you can clutch some of these when other classes have to change utilities for the entire encounter. I dont think our dmg rn is particularly good but honestly my main issue is with the gameplay because i dont like the new tome 1 rotation, the numbers are kinda secondary to gameplay. As for the later comments, i disagree, yes condi builds need to be higher and in some cases are but most encounter favour power anyways and with power being competitive that means power will automatically be favoured, personally as someone who enjoyed power more i like this over the pre eod meta (esp in fractals).
  7. I dont like that torch 5s burning is locked behind the entire channel and also the trait interaction with torch 4 autoflipping it on a crit, i dont think anyone actually likes that interaction honestly.
  8. I do raid and i like the current mantras, they are more interactive/have more going on than the previous itteration. I like the old tome 1 rotation more but that being said the utility of having access at tome skills whenever i want is a very big pro over the last itteration, in some way new tomes make fb better than it was before.
  9. If they rework scepter to be a better option then thats gonna happen regardless, i dont particularly care how they do it so long as they do smth about it.
  10. Doesnt healbrand give 100% regen just from spamming tome 2 2s off cd?
  11. You must have missed the part where the person you quoted said healbender can be better because it doesnt have to take mantras. The person bellow just pointed out that you only have to take 1 utility mantra and the heal mantra (which the heal mantra is really kittening good so why wouldnt you take it?).
  12. You always have a couple of free pages and if you dont use 2 tome 1 2s you can have even more pages which basically gives you free reflect bubbles or free syg/advance on the same cd and then the healing modifiers from tome 3. Theres alot of built in group utility that this spec can give and in way its even more available now since the rework. Plus afaik condi fb now benches around 38k, that respectable.
  13. For the utility it bring cfb does aight dmg.
  14. These are subjective of course (and pve focused) but i think the guardian specs are reaching the point where dmg isnt that big of a problem and we should instead start looking at making guardian more intuitive and fun to play (fb is abit less fine than the rest imo but its also a trickier spec to address inherently). Off the top of my head some changes as per elite spec: Dragonhunter: Longbow root, imo it would be a big qol upgrade if it was at the very least half movement or smth akin to how gs2 was, the self root is fairly annoying. F1 cast time, imo it would help the flow of the spec if you could use it snd get on with your rotation abit more quickly. Overall dh is in a very solid spot otherwise (bar some core guardian issues i will get into later. Willbender: Willy still has imo a bunch of issues concerning balance, primarily their utility skills being mostly underwhelming and sword offhand being kinda dead. Another issue which is abit more niche is that theres a bit of downtime to f1 assuming perma alacrity between the effect running out and it coming back off cd, for condi builds especially this leaves a dead space where any hit will not proc flames and it genuinely feels bad to hit your abilities during that small window. Alacrity application and uptime is another hot topic but im not sure of a possible solution to this primarily because its not a spammy boon provider which is good but i also like the form of application being via auto attacks, it would be alot less of an issue if willy gave quickness instead of alac because its value is alot lower during downtime but oh well fb got that covered. Dealing dmg as alac was also finicky before but since anet allowed willy to weave f skills its been alot nicer so thanks for that. Firebrand: Fb is tricky primarily because its a pain to balance its dmg and the power budget of its kit, i think dealing less dmg than most pure dps is fine because it brings amazing utility that being said the gameplay has degraded over time. Mainly f1 being less satisfying imo compared to the old f1 rotation as well as the rise of value of axe over scepter as of recent changes pushing us closer to axe camping which isnt fun. Traits are iffy because condi and quickness fb are fairly tangled and thats a balance hazard because nerfing one can very easily hurt the other, the mid tier traits specifically suffer from this. Mantras for a number of ppl are less satisfying but for me personally i prefer this iteration over the last, my concerns with them are mainly in terms of numbers. Rf is also fairly dead as an elite for fb since the rework. Bonus: Core guardian: Theres a number of things i really dislike about core guardian but 3 main things come to mind which also affect the elite specs negatively. Weapon skills aftercasts and weird queueing for some skills (gs3), great sword in general is a big offender but this extends to other weapons as well like sword mh, to play some of these builds at their hight requires extensive cancelling of aftercasts for substantial gains in dps (all the benchmarks assume you are cancelling aftercasts esp benchmarks with great sword. If the dmg gain was minimal so you didnt feel bad for not doing it or the aftercasts were axed it would address this pain point to the enjoyment of many guardian mains. (Preferably the second) Torch: there are 2 issues with torch, 1 is radiant fire, its genuinely an awful trait gameplay wise and it creates alot of friction during combat gameplay. this trait needs to by default increase the charges of zealot's fire to 2 at all times and the zealot's flame proc on crit needs to not trigger the flip skill. This one is a huge pain point across the guardian community and would go along way making condi builds using torch more fun, i hope when you tackle the recharge part of this trait you guys will also address the proc part of the trait as well. The second issue is torch 5 giving its burning condi at the end of the channel, this is a very 2012 designed skill and it creates an unpleasant feeling when you accidentally interrupt it right before it finishes channeling. If the burning was more evenly spaced throughout the channel that would solve this issue. Scepter: my main problem is that this weapon imo should be a hybrid if not a condi weapon with some power scaling in there, it mainly propped by traits to its condi state and that struggles to keep up with axe on firebrand. Also i have to mention the aa because alot of ppl hate it. These are my main qol wishes for the profession, theres naturally more i haven't mentioned im sure so others can feel free to add to this. I will say if these were addressed the guardian main would be alot more happy with the class. Cheers Edit: wall of text so have a tl;dr: Dh: longbow 2 root, F1 cast time. Willy: F1 cd (100% alac uptime and its buff dont line up perfectly and that leaves dead space for condi builds, the utilities are not well balanced and off hand sword is bad. Alacrity aplication is iffy but i personally like it. Fb: F1 rotation not as fun as the previous version, middle column traits are problematic for untangling qfb and cfb. Mantras are allegedly not as fun (i disagree), have number issues and renewed focus is dead on this spec because it doesnt recharge pages. Axe camping Core guardian: weapon aftercasts, mainly great sword but also other weapons like sword too, torch 5 applying burning at the end of the channel and torch 4 and radiant fire interaction. Scepter would benefit by being a hybrid weapon, auto attack also disliked by the community.
  15. Its easily 12 to 18 more stacks of confusion or some other condition depending the comp and fields placed, wouldnt call that hardly but sure if ppl dont utilize it it they will miss out on most of it.
  16. Narrator: He didnt keep it short. I will say that i agree with the concerns over aftercasts, if they can shave them from engi pistol then they also can from guardian's weapons (primarily gs) without any dmg buff concerns because benchmarks are stowing and queueing these aftercasts properly (smth that most ppl dont or cant do). As for that being a willbender issue, idk im not sure i agree, you can get more boon duration like with any boon support and compensate. Chrono pre quickness rework iirc could upkeep quickness without boon durr but only the best chronos would manage, for the rest it was extra boon duration. Willbender fits there just fine, can you not upkeep at the sc recommended? Take more boon duration.
  17. What i imagine they could do when they say lift restrictions is allow elite spec weapons to be used freely for core builds and elite specs, think axe willybender or hammer druid.
  18. Necro-ing this for more attention because its really annoying when a big part of your dps just doesnt target the boss.
  19. Bumping this for more attention, pls fix.
  20. It will shave 25seconds off of a skill's cd at most, if a skill doesnt have a cd of 25seconds it will just reset it cd. As far as i understand (mind you im not familiar with elementalist) is that they dont want this ability to instantly reset the cd of abilities with a cd above 25 seconds.
  21. Its pretty underwhelming for fb but for cwilly who wants multihits its nice. Making it at the very least a hybrid weapon would help the weapon majorly in pve while retaining alot of its value in competitive.
  22. You would take it as support tempest and it promoted bunker playstyles.
  23. 600 is the range of the alac and the dash is 450, you still give alac just fine.
  24. Doubt we will get new especs but id love if they added new core weapon options and id like for guardian to get rifle for that inquisitor vibe.
