Just the fact we have a spec dedicated to the manipulation of time and somehow mirage is the one that ended up being the alacrity is so aggravating to me. Starting to feel like anet wants people playing only two of the available classes and its so draining wanting to play anything else, knowing that nothing ever gets fixed or changed.

No need to be so negative people. I sure am excited to try out virtuoso after about 3 years worth of reworks when its actually usable.

No-one is trying to argue that virt is a terrible concept or what the purpose of elite specs is, but what is the point in acting like virt is implemented as well as it could be. Just the fact they thematically tried to mash together 3 difference concept that could easily be their own specs shows they weren't really sure how to go about virtuoso and realistically beta is enough time to go over the numbers and some of the talents, not the entire spec. According to some statistics available online mesmer already is the 5th popular spec, in this case maybe its worth to go over for whom this spec really is for, since it looks that the class is already popular with casual audiences and somehow i doubt it will truly be easier than gs power mirage.

I feel like by people you mean just one person who goes from thread to thread to argue with everyone and you are just better off ignoring. Most of people are just trying to argue their perspective in a reasnoable way, no need to get worked up.

Not sure why people seem so stuck up on the blade retension thing. If little annoying, clone generation is pretty much never an issue, except you have to shatter the blades to get any value out of them so chances are you are not going to be starting combat with 5 blades anyway. Honestly i dont see the way virt is supposed to deal with harder ow content without the meatshields, unless somehow new maps are fundamentally different.

What are the chances the rumours of mesmer rework are true and virt is just a placeholder spec? Everything including the weapon just seems uninspired and it doesn't really even do a good job of being a simpler spec since you have to deal with all the issues core mesmer has. The lack of depth is what sticks out to me the most, at least from what we have seen so far. Without any room to experiment and adapt to different situations, pressing the same couple of buttons over and over again will get boring fast.

It looks like a perfect spec for non-mesmer players so I guess it's not surprising, the aesthetics of it are great even if it doesn't really fix any issues mesmer has.

From my experience power mirage definitely seems the most fun and the fastest way to deal with ow content. Thought you might want to keep condi gear for bosses and such since they offer more damage and survivality, where power variant quickly turns into down-state mesmer. Wish chrono was more competitive, dealing with phantasms is just too much work for what seems like little reward.

Wouldn't it be more interesting if you could, for example, fire one blade at the time and then shatter them for different effects based on the types of blades fired? Doesn't have to be anything too complex but as it virtuoso seems rather lackluster, which sucks cause the concept is interesting.
