  1. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Barrier u recall wrong, healing power scales barrier, vitality scales targets max bcap. If your barrier last 1s u playing some other game. Barrier reaplication/duration and boon reaplication frequency is what creates this cheese boonballs and destroys game mode turning it into blob shitfest. Obv we cant increase damage more, because then it just gonna be worse.. strip buffing in way anet would be comfortable to buff aint gonna lead nowhere. Only way to fix this mess is reduce reaplication frequencies to reasonable levels, can rise durations for boons, lower frequency of reaplication would reintroduce strips back to game on its own.
  2. Sample small: like 100 attempts, but not once people used my portal from rifle, even when they was getting ganked and it was right in front of them. Might need further visual overhoul, maybe instead of ball some vertical thingy resembling breach? Idfk. I like the idea of skill but people at other end of it for some reason is just not using it. Also i think duration of portal is bit too low, either it or range of 5th skill placing need to be increased as u cant really cover enough ground for it to be really that useful.
  3. Reduce barrier uptime by ~33%, just straight up cut it in wvw so it be strategically placed to soften incoming pressure, make it require minimal amount of braincells to rotate. Reduce boon application frequency while increasing durations, make more strip skills prioritize stab/resistance(instead of removing those, like u did with dune cloak.. that was only reliable stab strip priority aoe that was able to bust the boonball) All it takes imo. Currently lads running with perma max barrier and every boon under the sun, its not even game, its farming simulator, cloud or non meta comps simply cant do anything to it, and blams is on boon reaplication freaquency and barrier application frequency imo.. those two mitigates all old strats and make it purely number game, no skill involved. There is no need for strip buffing or target cap rises (tho later would be fun), the mess is from boon spam+handicapped barrier(the amount of barrier spam is just surreal last weeks), remove those and there be end to horror.

  5. Boon support generates boons faster than u can possibly strip with full sub of strippers. Strip in current meta...it is folly.....whoever still think its viable is probably only roaming, yet even there its kinda silly venture going for strip traits. Only thing that is worth using was sand shards that prioritized stab strip(which they remove on march 19) and thief steal trait thingy that also prioritizes stab, like any other trait or utility is lowkey wasted now, meta don't care about strips, its a joke.
  6. U guys seem to not understand that original devs are gone, look at team turnover. I keep repeating this accross forums as people seem to forget that founders are long gone and current people indeed does not know the game.

Gw2 is only game where major hype is around balance changes and combat related stuff, just look guys, how community accross modes react, wait, and hype the combat related things, u can't find anything of this magnitude in any other mmorpg. It's why we play this game, it's what makes it different from other mmos...or made it different. Current team is rekting it, no miracles that skin guys can pull will salvage this when it reaches critical mass, players just leak to other games and gw2 enters maintenance mode.
  9. Its not mesmers causing lag, clones/phantasms is not surviving in blob fights, its not event. The skill lag started spiking up in between start of the disco ball and holo meta's Mesmers is not the issue, their boons might be impactful bot the meat of problem is elsewhere.
  10. It increases in exponential progression last few months. Was playable before, spikes of few second skill lag every second reset or so.
  11. Devs that created a game and risen it up is no longer with the anet, turnover there is huge. Current ones is being carried by work, idea, and engine done of their predecessors while at same time killing the interest in game and engine with their own ideas. The state of wvw now is absolute mind killer, wvw require no skill whatsoever now (just numbers matters, if ~ equal then chinese gvg war of attrition) used to be that u could outplay way bigger targets with proper positioning and skill use. Also the game engine itself is dying, skill lag makes this unplayable, 10s skill que's, maybe just convert to turn based and call it a day? I login less and less, losing interest in wvw, state of it makes me annoyed, it feels like chore, its not fun. Already abandoned pve because of trivial content + completion of pretty much everything, only thing keeping me coming to gw2 is wvw and community, yet wvw becomes worse each day so lol... Anyways i digress back to original point that nu-anet rides on combat engine and dynamic that was done by people before their time, current course is basically reworking whole combat system, soon it wont at all resemble the game we loved, im packing up as soon as alternative to what combat used to be appears in mmorpg market as i have no hope that these devs will do anything productive, game state just gonna continue going downhill and power creep continue to go uphilll... Complaining is pointless

  13. I want this. I simply must match skill/class color with wardrobe, it must match, if it doesnt match: *autistic noises*. Never gonna happen, nu-gen dev wishes first, players second. Maybe original devs would have given it to us, i doubt ones that inherited game knows how to entangle code for proper skill dye channel. Never gonna happen, lock the thread mods, its done.

  15. Obv is not healthy, people here playing just with ones class and game failing to point out that changing class is part of game is also unhealthy. Gw2 should learn from warframe in this regard.
  16. Lfg moves very fast, it loses traction hour post daily resets tho, dead for 5-6h after that, then moves fast again during the day. Lfg is annoying tab tho, open it, refresh, then it bugs out so u need to close and re open, u cant really do anything asides tracking the list during day as it moves fast, can see people spending 2h in that if they not sitting glued to it and doing smtg else while checking Y every 5mins.

Anyway i want to remind you, that as a rule in mmorpg, the most vocal "elites" using /squad to write about "noobs" and complain about "inexperienced players" or bad builds are as a rule an mediocre themselfs. Dont be that guy, maybe one day the guy u carried will carry you. I feel like attacked by hornets here, is this kp gatekeeper mental support subforum i stumbled?

Im not complaining about anything, im saying i would love the matching mode of some sort where i could get into trivial daily or weekly content with easy without camping lfg.. with following posts i just pointed out that lfg currently can be abused too and in my experience kp isnt really shielding u from newbs, it often just add toxicity alongside infrequent events where u end up with people who clearly doing content for first time and die more than no kp group would. Idc if this changes or not, i spend too much time on this game to still care, i like it how it is, if anything devs should stop doing things as they end up messing with my gameplay. Have 10k ufe, refuse to join ufe req groups, u cant force me to join them. I skimmed thru text about alac and such because with current state of game in most content, esp older one u can go without dedicared boon support at all still skipping mechanics by dps output. But yeah for u grinders it is important to grind faster, i understand that, i dont judge... i just wanted faster and less annoying way to do daily fractals, icb strikes, and w1-w4 there is no need to attack me for it now, if u need turbo optimized group for that its fine for what i care lol
  19. Read this blob babby: WvW degrading, game becomes more generic in combat aspect each update, wvw loses the hook it had.
  20. Goal for me for a while now is to git gud, i found fun in that, its what hooked me, muh horizontal progression. Sadly its kinda being pushed out, new content difficulty is trivial farming in pve, wvw turned into pure number game, no more u see 10 leets winning against 60 person blob by using their superior skill/knowledge in game/class mechanics. Im still kinda in denial that skill matters less with each month here, till i accept it my goal still be to git gud.

Its cuz devs streamline all class into one removing class identity and homogenizing it all, working on that like on steroids for last two years, deleting rp element and attempting to make every class able to produce healing, adps,qdps,cdps,immo spam, have sustains etc, its streamlined in obvious way post 2020 feb apocalypse patch. Htcm guys just bored, probably entertained and challanged by playing unoptimal classess, or speedrun with new chaos trait and condi mirrage cuz its faster, idfk, muh hcdps maybe. Edit: U guys can add as much kittening confused emojis as u want, ingame descriptions is strict a f, traitlines is also strict a f for most part. U can play whatever u like but if your untamed healer will be doing such abysmal healing that arcdps bar for it would be inverted. Current devs waging jihad against role descriptions and class identity gonna be a long one, so will be your denial until eventually u end up right and can act like u been right all along.
  22. People hating on mobility would love if gw2 turn to tab action or straight up mobile game..maybe turn based?? 😒 Ramp up mobility for all classess so these people stop complaining, mobility is fun, fun is good.
