  1. Cut the events at the start, they're unnecessary padding. If it starts at the labs, then you have a perfectly fine 15-20 minute meta. Improve the rewards too, but that's a common theme across EoD.
  2. Yeah, this is 100% my issue. Those with high success rates have mentioned that they join the same squads daily for this meta, something I'm unable to do, and is likely the case for a large chunk of the playerbase. Personally I don't think this exclusionary approach is what GW2 is about, but that's just my opinion. Was past-due to explore other games anyways.
  3. This sounds melodramatic, but I have quit playing because of this meta. If this was a side meta like TT, I wouldn't care, but DE is front and center in the story, so I take it as an indicator of where this game is headed. If events like this are the future of the game, I see no point in putting more time and money towards it. People can spout all of their nonsense about using a raid build, gear for dps, etc, etc. I do, but that does nothing for the 49 other people around me. For reference, I'm 2 for 9 with this meta; it's rare that I'm able to play during primetime which hasn't been an issue in the past.
  4. The average casual player doesn't have an hour+ to waste on an event that may likely fail, and reward poorly even if it doesn't. This is poor design, especially considering why many of us are playing GW2 over the other more time-consuming options. I love the fight, but will never go back to it. In fact, it's pushed me away from the game.
  5. OP needs to take a breather and ask yourself if you can still enjoy GW2 without Dragon's End. If so, ignore it completely and keep playing; if not, there's other great games out there. I was in the same situation last week, life is too short to be wasting two hours in the hope that the other 49 players in a casual MMO aren't actually casual in their playstyles.
  6. Players will always find something that they can't live without in their group, it's the nature of modern MMOs. These two boons, spread across several fun classes, is a pretty great solution.
  7. After another failed attempt yesterday, I realized it's best to just pretend this map doesn't exist. Horrible meta, and goes against the casual "play your way" mentality that brought many of us to this game. Don't get me wrong, I love the fight and have no personal struggles with the difficulty, but it's not for open world.
  8. That's a big one for me, something like this would make it so much more dynamic.
  9. I really like the jade bot, I just wish the buffs lasted through a map change within Cantha.
  10. Valid questions. A lot of people in my casual guild who may be on the lower end of skill levels have completely avoided this meta since getting their turtles. Hopefully the bite fix helps next week, losing to RNG is never fun.
  11. Once you learn to watch for the trash piles forming from the previous attack, this one is perfectly fine imo. People will still get hit, rez them if you can, either way you have plenty of time to down the boss.
  12. I love doing metas in this game, so I was initially excited when I saw each map had a meta, spread half an hour apart from one another. Turns out they each take at least 35 minutes, with the first half filled with pure tedium (especially Kaineng and Echovald). I do like the jade bots though, nice new resource sink for the community.
  13. I agree with what Gobbla said, especially about Severe Rejuvenation, very boring. Personally, I would like to see the cooldown of Alliance Tactics severely reduced, as it is I find it too punishing to switch.
  14. Long shot, but does the Arborstone rest bonus extend to this area? Would've been a nice tie-in to give it something unique.
  15. For overworld, I run with a celestial set and GS/GS with sigils of energy which basically gives me a dodge every 10 seconds. And of course GS #4 when you need it.
  16. Nah. If that was the case, they would've tossed out a hint before the community ate itself.
  17. Just watched a competent group of 50 fail again this morning at10%, followed by the usual blame game. How is this healthy for the game again?
  18. From the notes...better rewards, 5 stacks of the buff given from the pre-events, and bite adjustments. Let's hope it's enough; as is, this is the best meta I'll never go back to.
  19. I don't understand how they can go from Drizzlewood to this. That map was extremely player-friendly, and you were never punished for hopping in and out based on the time you had. To go from that to the Soo-won meta just blows my mind, in a bad way.
  20. It's a great fight. Here's to hoping they make it rewarding and fair, otherwise this will 100% be a dead meta.
  21. Returning after a long hiatus as well, looking for a casual guild.
