  1. A few little things that came to my mind over the past week: 1. Let us buy more otter infusions. It's just a shame that we can only earn one ingame. Either sell it for Laurels, or, even better, for Otter Memories, once the collection has been done. 2. I really like the idea of having a cosmetic/equipment slot for unlocked legendary weapon effects. By that I mean, for example, once you unlock Juggernaut, you could select the corresponding cosmetic effect in a seperate slot to be active whenever your weapon is drawn, regardless of weapon type or skin. 3. Let us unlock the Skins from the legendary raid armor, once another armor piece of the same weight class has been unlocked as legendary. For example: You crafted the light legendary PvP armor. It would be silly to craft another legendary armor just for the skin. So, you could just pay some gold (like 100 per piece) and some LI to unlock the skin for the legendary raid light armor. 4. Let the wall in the tangled depths meta be destroyed 1 minute after the final chak dies. Having to wait for 10 minutes, doing nothing, in order to loot, is kinda silly. That's all for now. Dunno if this resonates with anyone, but I consider those things to be worthwhile implementations.
  2. I could get behind Devona, but Mai Trin? She was brought back for about 3 hours, before having a rushed redemption and getting killed off. And for that we now have to settle with a very bored "Horrik. Unleach the cannons. If you please. Whatever." in fractals.
  3. I honestly had a big abundance of Shards. Until I started crafting legendaries. Now I struggle with gaining them.
  4. Staff 4 has always been a rather "meh" skill to me, and my impression of it got worse over the years. Swiftness wasn't hard to come by then, and it certainly isn't now. It really is a waste of a slot imho. You have mounts in open world, and some form of swiftness wil generally be created by someone in group content. It`s pretty much a dead slot.
  5. I just played around with hammer a bit in Fractals. Certainly not saying much, but I easily kept 21-23k dps up, without switching weapons, basically just using Hammer 2 and 4 as well as test of faith and possession of blades off cooldown, while smacking symbols into the ground with hammer auto attack chain. It seems at least viable enough for some variety. Also you can greatly help with protection uptime. You are quite dependant on quickness though, playing hammer in OW feels a bit clunky still.
  6. I played Guard since release, so naturally, I played alot of HFB. But since the rework of the tome mechanics, it just doesn't feel that almighty anymore, wich, in terms of balance, is probably for the best, but still stings a little bit for me. I recently tried heal-alac druid, and I don't know if it's just the sensation of something new, but I kinda dig it. It's not exactly complicated, but it feels good. Same with heal ele, although ele is probably hit or miss, since, as a healer, you are very dependant on your water attunement and need urility skills that can throw out a quick heal if you tuned into something else. Also, many people do not like the gameplay of tempest alac-healer, but I am personally fine with it. The coming update will probably take some of the pressure away. Last but not least, Healscourge is amazingly fun, although a double edged sword. It's a good healer to carry inexperienced groups, but it offers very little in terms of boons. I just wish they'd add 10-man barriers again. Because having two healscourges is not worth 2 teamslots, while a single healscourge does not cover a 10-man squad, wich makes the class fall flat in many but some special situations.
  7. To be fair, at this point I don't even know if I want Zojja to come back. Anet has a terrible track-record of continuing loose plot threats: Lazarus, Joko, Magdaer, IBS finale, Mai Trin, Devona.... To me, it seems like the writers really wanna do new and shiny stuff, but keep having to go back to old stuff, probably written by different people, because that stuff isn't resolved. And what comes from a lack of motivation? You try to get it over with quickly. Whole EOD felt like both of that combined: Getting rid of the dragon storyline (although I fully agree that it went on for way too long), and diving into yet another fantasy-void-theme storyline. To be, the concept of a Void is very similar to Godwins law: The longer the story goes on, the more likely it's gonna get a Void-treatment.
  8. Going against the tides here, but i really like Lazarus. Yes, he is a cheesy saturday morning cartoon villain, but he was also a Mursaat. And since Mursaat are automatically superior to everything else, he takes the crown, despite the story doing him dirty.
  9. As much as I like the Bifröst, having every single projectile be a rather poorly animated rainbow just made me change skins. I would very much welcome a way to disable custom legendary projectile effects, while keeping the skin.
  10. I'm just posting here to get notified if Anet truly removes this joke. I honestly laughed a bit. A bit morbid, a bit plump but also kind cleverly tied to the speakers. Funny I'd consider one throwaway joke one of the better writing decisions in this expac 😄
  11. You may wanna ask a specific question you want answered. Because if you already read the forum, you know what people consider bad about the expansion, thus I really struggle to see what additional information you need.
  12. I really hope thats the case. But I somehow doubt it. The moment the void becomes an entity, it's not the void as described ingame anymore. Becaue what was described was basically matter without order. Like many dead particles that together form a living thing by simply acting by the laws of nature, but not being able to come tohgether in that way because of chaos. Thus, the void is the antithesis of conscience.
  13. Considering those come from a position thats a.) of rather questionable ethical worldviews and b.) a huge minority of the playerbase, I think we will survive those complaints.
  14. They alredy did with that weird void-concept. Going on long enough, I feel like every fantasy-universe will get a "void" as part of it's world. Pretty worn out tbh.
  15. Your Braham example has nothing to do with what you described Kasmeer and Majory to be. You throw around "virtue vs vice" quite alot. And from the context of this conversation (as you clearly avoided to be more precise with your words), I guess that you consider homosexuality to be a vice, by reason of it being "unnatural", and it being "turned into a a virtue". Did I get that wrong? Please tell me if I got that wrong. I really hope that I got that wrong, because if not, then the words I would like to adress to you would result in me probably getting a ban from this forum.
  16. Most of the people putting real effort in still didn't get the turtle. The fairytale of effort being the one and only key to success most stop.
  17. I would have liked to argue that not everyone who dislikes a homosexual character does so because he or she is against homosexuality. I mean, I find them both incredibly boring, but I actually like the way GW2 handles homosexuality, like a completely normal thing in a fantasy world. That wouldn't work in a world thats moreakin to the real world, as there would be alot more people actually having issues with homosexuality. It`s one of the few thing I actually think Anet handles rather well, despite me going on a rant about almost everything else, and characters suddenly being non-binary without that EVER being established in the GW2-universe is one of the thing I really do not like, as it breaks consistency. But sadly, the commenter you were refering to already established a simple dislike for homosexuality. My argument still stands though: Don't immediatly assume people to be homophobic, because they don't wave around rainbow-flags when homosexuality is displayed in characters. I know, we are few, but some people actually are capable of critizising characters for more than their fictional preferance for a certain type of genitalia.
  18. Thats my main gripe with the game as well. But it will never be able to go back on that. Race-diversity has been established, and even if for better storytelling, taking that away would kitten so many people off. Understandably so though.
  19. Joon is just boring. She only very narrowly avoided the "strong women" trope by being written kinda stubbborn, but in the end she of course helps to save the day. My bigger problem is how Mai Trin and Ankka were just wasted characters. Mai Trin could have been an awesome grain of salt to the main cast of characters, with her not just being a goodie.two-shoes, and Ankka would have been an excellent vessel for nihilistic world views and a truly philosophical angle to the story. Both wasted. Poof. Here, have moar Dragon drama. And more Aurene talking in her constant gasping voice. Have fun. I'd like to say that the B-team wrote this story. But that would imply hope for a shred of quality left somewhere. A hope I do not have left at this point. Unless of course they announce GW3 in a year of so, basically confirming they have been working on that simultaneously alongside EoD. Edit: Also Taimis line about "You do know women have children? It's normal" seemed thrown in so incredibly into your face.
  20. Add a que feature to join other instances of a map. I neither have the time nor do i enjoy trying to join a nother full map for minutes.
  21. I never had it ignoring commands, but I also observed it sometimes just sitting around, doing nothing. Good to know it`s not just me. Also, unless an enemy stands still, the turtle will never hit anything with it's shots - the projectile sqeed ist too low.
  22. Cool. So everyone who was just lucky to get carried, while doing 2k dps also earned it? Your logic is beyond flawed. And bragging about this is the cherry on top of the cake. You contribute NOTHING with this behavior, except to look back in a few years and feel the cringe of your life.
  23. Rushed storytelling. Basically nonexistant character development. And the characters that had some development got the Lazarus-, i mean Joko treatment: Getting killed of before they did anything with them. Soo-Won was boring, and I was just annoyed by how brutally the game wanted me to feel sad about her. She just got thrown into the story and then we killed her. Thats all. And the more Aurene talked with or about her with that Freaking. Annoying. Gasping. Voice. (I swear, I am so tired of this VA by now), the more my resentment against Soo-Won, Aurene and the Story grew even further. Icebrood Sagas ending was bad. Like really, really bad. But this whole expansion was underwhelming through and through. It never reached to low points of IBS, but overall just underwhelming.
  24. This is the kind of elitist toxicity this meta has bred. And all of that just because he was lucky enough to get into a squad with enough people who know what they were doing. Everyone who pulled their weight basically earned the turtle.
  25. I assumed the same thing. Especially, after considering that you need to play the story for ascended weapons collections. I mean, I think those skins are ugly, so I do not care as much personally. Weird decision nontheless.
