I recently put a lot of effort into getting myself a winter's heart infusion for my Norn (I know, how original). Unfortunately, I found out that once I applied the infusion, it also affected the colour of the Raven Mantle that I use on my character as well, which seems to indicate that it acts more like character skin in response to light sources and infusions than other armour pieces do.
To illustrate my point, here is an image of the skin without the infusion
And here is an image of the skin with the infusion
This is all the more frustrating, because the Raven Mantle is a gemstore piece, which I looked forward to getting, and then combining with this infusion for quite some time! I've noticed there are a few topics on this issue floating around, but no real response as to whether this is intentional or not. I've tested it out and it seems to happen on DX 11 and DX 9, so it doesn't seem to be a bug per se, more of an oversight in how the pauldron skin interacts with light and infusions. Is there anything that can be done to fix this, or is this a side-effect of an intentional work around to get the skin to behave properly? I recognise that it's quite a unique shoulder piece due to all the layers of feathers, but surely there's a way to fix it so that it doesn't continue to have this interaction.
