  1. I'm hoping for hybrid weapons with a block/reflect, a teleport/leap with a finisher and a spin attack with condis. Oh, and fancy visuals.
  2. I am getting annoyed by the auto attack sound on hammer 😞 Will a legendary weapon or another skin change the sound effects?
  3. Traits suggestions: "Well timed": Cuts casting speed and interval time of wells down to half the original amount. - This will make the wells feel more responsive and faster, which is more fitting for a thief. Could be implemented to baseline. "Tether burst": Increase number of tethered targets to 4 for 5 seconds at reduced efficiency(?). - Improve aoe supporting capability and make tether feel more impactful in a group setting. Thoughts?
  4. Specter is my favourite elite specialization even though it feels unpolished. There are so many suggestions here that would make it way smoother and more fun. Here are a couple more suggestions: Well of gloom to give regen instead of cripple. Change Shadowsquall into an attack/heal similar to chain lightning/chain heal from WoW/Warcraft. This would improve Specter's aoe dmg, as well as healing, and increase the usefulness of personal stealth in group combat. Now it feels like a silly mirage scepter copy pasta. Turn Shadow Sap into a ground targeted aoe like necro's Grasping Dead and give it a damaging condition. Adjust initiative cost and potency for balance. Give us a trait to increase the number of tethered targets for more support. Move alac application to damaging wells or something else. Let us be able to use utility wells reactively and not off cooldown. Reduce aftercast/improve animation speed on scepter dual skills to improve smoothness. Thief feels reactive and fast. Dual skills and some wells on Specter does imo not match the feel of the thief class.
  5. I really love the theme of this spec, but in addition to many of the points you've already mentioned I would like: Well of gloom to give regen instead of cripple. Change Shadowsquall into an attack/heal similar to chain lightning/chain heal from WoW/Warcraft. This would improve Spectre's aoe dmg, as well as healing, and increase the usefulness of personal stealth in group combat. Turn Shadow Sap into a ground targeted aoe like necro's Grasping Dead and give it a damaging condition. Adjust initiative cost and potency for balance. Give us a trait to increase tethered targets for more support. These are just the things I remember off the top of my head.
  6. Yeah, Bladesong requiem is pretty underwhelming. Using more than 1 blade on it feels like a waste. The block is nice, but regardless, the skill needs an update or a rework.
  7. In pvp 75% of your blade generation comes from blocking attacks. I'm not saying virtuoso is bad in every scenario, but I think it should be less reliant on blocking and dodging for damage in pvp. I'm not sure why people think that "a good benchmark = no point in trying to improve the profession"... Improving functionality of a profession should come first, then look at the dmg numbers. The dagger is an odd ranged weapon that works best in melee. Which is why I proposed simple changes to make dagger skills 2 and 3 actually usable from range. More complex changes that fixes these are ofc welcome too. Projectile hate is also the bane of virtuoso's existence. I'd like it to be less reliant on projectiles and block/dodge workarounds.
  8. Virtuoso is doing well in pve, but I would like it to be more rewarding in pvp. By all means, it is good in a 1v1 or 1vX, but most of your damage unlocks from gaining blades and boons by blocking or dodging attacks, which feels bad when you are in a prolonged skirmish and are not targeted. It is also rather annoying to play against with the plethora of i-frames. Here are some suggestions which you might agree or disagree with. Feel free to criticize or add own suggestions. Goals: Improve ranged dagger usage, reduce invuln and reliability on dodging/blocking to deal dmg. Let dagger 2 work like untamed's longbow ambush multishot to increase usability from range. Dagger 3 should have an optional starting location and direction. (Think League of Legends Viktor's laser, E ability) Dagger 3 should have an additional effect like cripple added to it. Bladeturn requiem should no longer block, but have massively increased damage and add one blade per tick. Infinite forge should give a blade every 2 seconds. It is already vastly inferior to the two other options. Phantasmal blade: Make blade from phantasm attack baseline and increase boons from the trait, like i.e. might gain. Make bladesong dissonance aoe ground targeted. Less projectiles. Give more blade generation to other weapons. What are your thoughts?
  9. How about adding a trait that increased the number of tethered allies to 4? This will give the specter more of a similar healing capacity to that of druids and scourges. It can be limited to first 5 sec in shroud or something like that, if needed.🤔 Additionally reducing after-cast on especially dual skills would help with the slugginess feeling on both sc/d and sc/p. What I cherish about thief is that it feels fast and smooth, and I want specter to feel more like a thief elite spec.
  10. I would like to see these changes: Scepter 2 skill changed into something useful. Hopefully an aoe with like a dmg condition, slowing condition and a maybe a friendly boon/barrier. The projectiel looks cool tho. Focus as a support off-hand weapon. With some aoe healing abilities. Maybe experiment with a 5th skill that uses all initiative but in return gives solid aoe cleansing and healing. This will help fledge thief out as a better healing option for group content. Sc/p dual skill feels clunky to me and should be made smoother. Thief skills usually feels responsive and quick, but this does not. Less wind up and aftercast, if not removing the first shot or something. Let us use wells without the mandatory shadow step. Healing well should not cripple foes, but instead give regen or condi cleanse. Equal cast time on wells would be nice. I really like the shadow theme of this spec, and I am glad thief got the ability to play a more supporty playstyle. And I am really happy that I can play group content without just aa'ing and dodging for maximum dps. 🙂 Sorry if some points are mentioned too much in the thread!
  11. I think the aa-animation with scepter could be made to look more like a caster, rather than an air-bonker. And the sound from the basic attack is a bit too much, and should imo be more magicky and less like a violent explosion. The healing part of the shadow form should be healing the Specter when no allies are around, so that the spec can hold itself in a solo scenario. I really liked the flavour of the spec :)
