I like the title of this post and agree. New players need something. All of these solutions you cooked up those are burnt to a crisp. The game either needs to redo its matchmaking, give better avenues of entry points for pvp (an example is a series of noob friendly games with other new players and bots when they enter pvp for the first time), and give more game modes in general. This is a dead horse though

I think some people forget fighting to win a node is different than just fighting on top of a node and hoping for the best. People also forget the game has 3 different nodes you can try to win with. You're not forced to win a very specific node unless its near the end of the game and it comes down to that node is the deciding factor of who wins or not

No they dont. They did update the TOS recently. Which for the most part they can monitor things from you more when you run the game

I think you missed my point. Its more credible to say something is much easier and forgiving when you also can compare it to your class' most meta spec that also fits the same role as spellbreaker. Otherwise i might as well say soulbeast is more forgiving ever since i swapped over from only playing a full glass core power mesmer.

Well most people trying out pvp are in unranked. I queue unranked either duo or solo most of the time. There are days that youll fight back to back plat groups for like an hour or 2 straight. I really cant see a world you would ever be able to convince casuals or less experienced players to stick around dealing with that. This is just one of the few problems too, that pvp doesn't keep its population. Its good to still see passionate people want the game they play to grow and thrive but, you're beating a dead horse at this point.

Sometimes ill use my DH or support on my team as "kite spots". If they die, well.. they die! 🙂

It was more of a cool little "did ya know?" Kind of thing. Youre right its too risky to do in a match. Terrain affects if its possible to do or not. And when it is the timing has to be perfect. Its like how people know you can do a double jump up that ledge in Coliseum to get into mid. But because of how hard and unreliable it is to land the jump, youll rarely see people do that cause youll most likely fail and get killed trying.

Or just fix matchmaking so it isnt as hard focused on mirrioring classes egainst each other. Population isnt really big enough for that. Nothing is more infuriating having a gold mesmer cause thats all the algorithm could find to match vs the plat 2 mesmer

Solo Q player gets a plat 1 player, and 3 golds vs a plat 2 duo, plus 2 other low plat players and a gold. This will end well
